You are so sweet! Thank you! Catmeleon makes some of the most beautiful figures! Her ideas are always executed to perfection. She makes me want to try my hand at a static figure.
You are an AMAZING artist! Your work is unbelievable, thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. I have loved dolls since I was a child and always wanted to make my own. It was an art that was elusive to me all my life. At 62 yrs old I am so inspired by your video I feel encouraged to try to make my own. Thank you for being kind and sharing your creativity!
Thank you so much! You should definitely try your hand at it. I got started by watching other artists and learning what techniques work best for me. My early stuff was absolutely awful but I had a lot of fun and kept practicing.
She's gorgeous! My favorite part of doing any craft is the small details, they really pull everything together. I love her little buns, they're so cute. I love playing with hair but I know how hard it can be on the hands, especially when it's on a tiny head. Glad you're back and I hope you enjoy your new home. Take care✌
Idk why I bothered looking for her in your Etsy I knew she was going to be snapped up! Freaking adorable and you got her likeness very well. Thanks for sharing!
I was googling to try to find WWDITS merch and if anyone is selling a Nadja doll. I used to be an artist before becoming more progressively and gravely ill, now just trying to surround myself with things to make me smile, add comfort in this painful and misery filled “life” I have, you’re fantastic.
Thank you! I have found the doll community to be one of the best art communities. Everyone is so open to sharing tips and techniques, it definitely helped me grow as an artist.
Nadya is one of my fave characters. it surprises me the actress who plays her is never nominated for best leax actress uin comedy on the people's choice awards
I really love it! They came out with another spin off from the movie too. Its called Wellington Paranormal and its about the police officers from the movie. It premiered a few years ago in New Zealand but just got released here in July.
She’s gorgeous and what a beautiful Face paint. The eyes are so pretty.I like her hair and the dress is so nicely made and looks stunning. On with the lovely black blouse..Your dolls always look so special and you put so much love and detail into them to make them so special .I love her 🥰
Great work, I was sew no human clothes while I watched your video so the sleeve part of the video was relevant to me 😂. Glad the move is done, would love to see the studio tour once you feel like you have your space set up done 🙃
Thank you! Sewing human clothes is how I started learning to sew, I would sew cosplay for myself and my daughter and would have to do TONS of alterations to patterns because my daughter was so particular about how she liked clothes to fit. I think I am going to do a studio tour very soon, I just have to clean it up because its messy since I was working on this doll.
She turned out lovely! I really like how you showed your issues with symmetry (its the bane of my existence, I swear) and how you make/modify patterns!
Her hair looks like mine, with out the buns. 😂 I know what you mean about hand sewing 😩 I have such an issue with getting the eyes even too. I love how the lashes came out❤️👍
Thank you! I was really unsure about the face for so long, pulling the hair down was when I really saw it come together. Just getting the eye shape is the thing that takes me the LONGEST on a faceup. I see other artists do eyes that are just bam, perfect eyes first try, makes me so jealous 😄
She is gorgeous! You're so talented. I didn't heard about this show, but it looks interesting. About hand sewing - I know this pain very well, I don't have sewing machine. Try to use shorter twine - for such small thing you don't need that long. It will be easier to manage and it shouldn't tangle that much :)
Thank you so much! I am blessed to have a sewing machine and only have to the smallest amounts of hand sewing, I would be ready to scream if I had to do it ALL by hand. I really appreciate the tip, thanks!
Such a beautiful doll! You have been missed, but, so happy to hear your move went well! Very stressful, but, somehow you created another stunning doll! I just love everything about her!
Been following up with your work for a while and I'm in love with your work 💓... I started customizing since last year 🤗 and I love it... I follow artists like yourself and I am always inspired and you guys are my teachers too... Thank you so much for the inspiration of customizing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you that is so kind of you to say! I too started out the same way, watching videos, following artists and asking questions. The doll community is wonderful and so full of artists willing to share their knowledge. I have been at it going on 2.5 years now.
Thank you so much. They came out with another spin off too, I've been busy and haven't had the opportunity to tune in yet but it looks just as great. Its called Wellington Paranormal and its about the police officers from the movie. It premiered a few years ago in New Zealand but just got released here in July.
Absolutely stunning ! This is now the second time I felt someone made something just for me ahahahah (the other time was JackyOhhh’s Alphonse Mucha inspired doll!) I’m so glad you made this beautiful Nadjia! I’m super impressed and learning a lot from your techniques!
Thank you so much!! Jacky's doll was so beautiful and had such an delicate feel. I am so glad you are finding it useful. I really love getting to share. 🥰
@@LadyDynamiteCreates Thank you! I’ve been teaching myself to reroot and so far the hardest part has been figuring out how to get the head to stay in place. I need more hands lol.
@@glampixie Mine tends to just roll around on the table between plugs :P Be careful if you use the stand to hold the head for rerooting, you might break needles if you are hitting the post.
She looks so amazing 🤩! I have one question I bought normal pastels and not the pan fancy version. I tried to paint my doll with it after giving it a few coats of sealing spray (mr super clear). Basically I made a little powder of the pastel, but it just would not stick, do you think this is because it’s a cheap pastel? The brand is Hashi and this is my first time trying to repaint a doll. Thanks for your help.
Thank you so much! Its probably the pastels, the cheaper pastels have more binder than pigment in them than artist grade ones do. The first time I tried I used mungyo pastels and after 6 layers and barely having any color on my doll I stopped. I slowly invested in the pan pastels but they are so highly pigmented they are worth it especially if you want to do a lot of full body blushing. I have had other artists tell me that rembrandt pastels are also very good at blushing the body. I know they are highly pigments (the artist grade versions at least) and have used them but I am too lazy to shave all that pastel down to use for a full color change when I have my pan pastels handy with no shaving needed. You can try other brands but the key is to look for artist grade. Student and craft grade just won't cut it for color changes and you will waste loads of MSC. A good set will run around $60 for 30-40 colors, usually if they cost less than that they aren't artist grade but you will save money on your MSC in the future. Hope this helps.
@@LadyDynamiteCreates thank you so much, this definitely helped a lot 🙏 I really appreciate you writing back to me with this wonderful and detailed response. I will definitely be looking into the pan pastels. Thanks once again.
Moving house is no joke. Weve had to do everything at night whilst our toddler is asleep other we cant get anything done 😩 hope youve all settled in now tho. The doll is gorgeous as usual. I loved the movie so should probably give the show a watch
Thank you so much for your kind words 🥰. I feel your pain there! I moved once when my daughter was 1 then again when she was 2. Moving was MUCH easier with her being older. We have mostly gotten settled in and there is only a few projects left to tackle.
I love What We Do In The Shadows. I can always count on laughing with every episode. You did an amazing job creating a doll that beats Nadja's own mini-me doll on the show. 😜 My favorite character is Nandor. He's had me wrapped around his finger since he first introduced himself on the show. Laszlo's confidence is something to be reckoned with. He and Nadja are perfect for one another. I about died when Nadja was stalking Jeff-Gregor. Lastly, I agree we all know an energy Vampire that rivals even Colin Robinson. 🤣
Thank you so much! I love them all but Nadja is it for me. The perfect amount of crazy 🤣 Colin Robinson is my husbands favorite, he was saying he hopes they delve a bit more into his character this season (which seems like what they might be doing). I find him to be less funny just because I know people like that and it aggravates me towards his character 🤣
@@LadyDynamiteCreates I feel the same way about Colin. He drives me up the damn wall for the exact same reason. Although I'll admit, when he and the other energy vampire were talking to one another a few episodes back, when they became in charge of the Vampiric high council if I'm not mistaken, that was hilarious. Beyond that he reminds me of those guys who think they have to man-splain things to women. Things as in tampons or something. Something that they really should just not even begin to talk to a woman about... especially not in the form of explanation. Honestly the epitome of my sister's ex-husband who once made her cry when she was pregnant with their twin girls over the difference between a taco and a burrito. Ridiculous! 🙄🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

when hand sewing, draw your thread thru bees wax. this stops the thread from tangling and strengthens the thread. YOUR WORK IS BRILLIANT,
