Lady Dynamite Creates is where old dolls are given new life. I hope to provide some insight of my creative process and some tricks that maybe you have not learned. Please feel free to comment or ask questions.
I have always been a creative person and was a user interface artist for video games until I became a stay at home mom. I became enamored with customizing dolls when I discovered Dollightful and decided to try it for myself. I was hooked. I came to the art form with a background in metal-smithing, sewing, cosplay, 3-D modeling and photography and I try to incorporate my knowledge from my other artistic endeavors into my doll art. With the encouragement of my husband, I started selling my dolls and sharing my art with others.

She’s so pretty omg 😭 All those little ornaments on her dress and hair are perfect. Also, had to rewind and make sure I heard correctly when you mentioned how much tulle went into the underskirt. 😬 I’ll have to give that technique a try on a future project!
It is an absurd amount for such a small doll! It would probably have been the full 2 yards if I hadn't wanted the shoes to peak out at the bottom. I can't imagine how much it would take for a full sized dress.

You think comic books were expensive when you were a kid?? I dont know how old youare but Im 56 I started reading comics at eight and started seriously collecting at 11. When I started comic books ( as my grandmother refferes to them as "my little funny books") They were .50cents I huumg in whenthey went to .60 then .75 I even hung in when they went to $1.75 ( when I started I collected about 20 titles) every price increase a tittle or two got dropped. Comic books now cost $5/book. I dont collect anymore. Greed is a mother f%#k7&
They were around $1.50 in the early 90s but even that was more than the disposable income I had at 11 or 12. I didn't get an allowance or anything and money from Christmas and birthdays were generally spent on clothing because buying new clothing back then was a luxury for me. I finally got into the actual comics around 2005 and maintained a pull list of 15-20 titles a month and kept it up until I had my daughter and funds got tight again. Now days I hold out for the trade papers and use the public library resources. I just makes more sense, there for a while the long boxes were taking over every bit of storage I had 😆

The one spell I would cast right now, would be to remove this god awful cold that me and my family has been dealing with, for 5 weeks now! It just doesnt end, lol.
