There is a bug since 17.5. I’ve had my do not disturb set up the same way for years- just allowing phone calls in case of a family emergency. For the last several days I’ve been awaken - last night from an email at 3am and I can usually never get back to sleep. Now until Apple fixes this bug (which wasn’t fixed on 17.5.1 yesterday) I guess I’ll have to silence phone completely.

In the do not disturb settings, click on apps then add phone and iMessage. Then, restart your phone. This is the only thing that worked for me to stop calls and texts when phone is on do not disturb. I hope this helps.

Be sure to click (silence notifications from these apps)

go to settings,focus,then don’t disturb. Change it from “silence notifications from” to “allow notifications from” that’s it it worked for me
