The Rachel Incident slaps!! Also I am so with you on the hardback thing! Luckily here in Aotearoa NZ most books are released in paperback at the outset (Intermezzo is out in paperback here). If you desperately want a paperback ASAP then I would recommend ordering it online from Australia or NZ!!
I'd love some poetry ASMR if you can make it happen. I generally don't read poetry, but I can definitely appreciate it. I've been heavy into fantasy, but I just read Animal Farm for the first time and what a fantastic book it was. It made me want to get into more of George Orwell's work. Other than that, I've mostly been focused on wrapping up a Brandon Sanderson's Rhythm of War. I only have about 250 pages left and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It definitely feels like a middle book in a series in that it's a lot of setup without a ton of action going on. It's all very necessary, but less fun to read. I'm hoping that there's a good payoff in the next book releasing at the end of the year. I feel like I'll finally be able to breathe after getting fully caught up with The Stormlight Archive after this book.
I recently finished Marcia Bjornerud’s new book Turning to Stone! It’s a memoir but each chapter is themed around a different type of rock. I think you would enjoy it Ky!
Definitely the poetry ASMR 💕
