Listening to these videos at bedtime has become a game of Russian roulette. Will I drift off peacefully and undisturbed or will an unnecessarily loud and obnoxious advertisement play when the video ends and startle me out of my sleep? 😄

Fun fact: You got me into reading fantasy as a hobby after recommending the last unicorn in one of your past videos. I was so touched by the story. I hadn’t read anything but non-fiction as an adult. I moved straight into romantasy after that and have read 10 books since January and on my 11th now. It became a daily hobby. 😊

Never clicked on a video faster!
I bought Demon Copperhead after your last video, and I did enjoy it. But I feel like I would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't read David Copperfield in high school. I loved David Copperfield, but Demon Copperhead has a lot of the same plot elements so I already knew what was going to happen. For instance, both stories have women named Dori (or Dora) and Agnes (or Angus), and they play the same roles in both stories.
Anyway, thanks for the great video as always!

Rec: You should check out Powerless by Lauren Roberts. It's a YA fantasy romance that is really accessible in English and has been translated to Spanish. It's not mindblowing, but it's an enjoyable breezy read and might be fun to try in Español. Plus, the sequel comes out soon!
Some of my other favorite YAs are: The Silence That Binds Us and The Poet X!

New Year’s resolution was to read at least 20 this year. I’m on 23 as of Aug!
First book I read in Jan still my favorite. Tress and the Emerald Sea. By Brandon Sanderson.
Light fantasy with a great female protagonist, lots of humor and the narrator is very snarky and self aware so the audiobook is really fun to listen to.

    🤍 Bedtime reminders!!! 🤍
    - Did you drink enough water today?
    - Did you take any vitamins, pillls, or medicine if you need to?
    - Are pets fed if you have them?
    - Did you take makeup off if you have any on, wash your face, and brush your teeth?
    - submit any work or assignments that need to be turned in today?
    - are all doors locked and windows closed?
    - did you text any loved ones goodnight or say ‘I love you’ if you usually do?
    - turn on any background sound if you listen to any to fall asleep?
Remember that you are loved and that you have a purpose. You have made so many people smile, and still have so many smiles to give. keep being yourself because there’s no one else that will do it for you! take care of yourself and sleep well!!! 💟💤

The video was relaxing, but it would be great if there was more actual book tapping. Most of the book sounds were sticky finger/pressing noises, with your phone/audio book being the only object consistently tapped on and it wasn't for very long. I miss the older OG book vids that were mostly tapping (not finger pressing/squeezing). I just thought it was too much talking and not enough actual book asmr sounds/focus.

Nothing against those genres, just not my cup of tea! I'm a month late, but i read On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous when it was first published and it was a STUNNING novel. I have 'The Grapes of Wrath' by Steinbeck in a similar cover to your 'Creative Act". I didn't know it makes such great sounds :)

Barbara Kingsolver is also one of my favorite authors since I read Animal Dreams in high school, and I also am fascinated by themes of poverty, etc in Appalachia (sp?). I’m really excited to tackle Demon Copperhead.

ty for another awesome video Sarah. Just one request, I let my son and daughter listen to you as well. They watch you with me a lot. Maybe a heads up on controversial topics in the video description? Just so I know to have my heads up that it's coming. One topic I am just not comfortable with them hearing about. YET anyways. They are only 6 and 7. Regardless of whether you do or not matters not. We love you here. I can just skip ahead if necessary.

Hello, sarah, my name is Mohit kumar from India. I want to mention that your ASMR videos help me for deep sleep. I tried other's ASMR videos but it doesn't work for me. I want to mention(say) thank you. I must say your voice and video tune level is perfect.

I love the Rick Rubin recommendation! His catalogue as a producer is so vast it's kind of hard to believe. In the 80's he produced for Run DMC, LL Cool J, and Slayer. Then in the early 90's he produced Wildflowers for Tom Petty which is probably my favorite Tom Petty album and one of my favorite albums of all time.

I had a dog. Her name was Roxy and she was a Border Collie/Doberman mix. She had this fluffy white patch of fur by her butt. The rest of her coat was black and tan. Anyway, we called her Roxy Cotton because the white fur looked like a cotton ball. So many people thought it was some stupid joke about oxy.
