The music from 0:08 to 0:46 is stock music titled "Production Music: Newscenter", from Network Music; it was used by KSTW 11 in Seattle for the intro to their 10PM news report in the mid 80's (though it was canceled shortly after becoming a UPN station; that was a long story involving several affiliation and ownership switches).

KTXL in Sacramento used that music for their news. You can hear this and a lot of other production music on Spotify, under "Network Music Ensemble".

Thank you!! These laser disc training videos were cheezy but hilarious back in the 80s when I worked for Jack in the Box. They were brilliant.

I worked at J in the B in 1985, I became a 'manager' and remember going to training at the corporate offices in San Diego.

how hard was it to use those things? Really? So hard we need a training video to watch a training video?

thegreatjedimaster Well, I doubt this things were hard to use, but then again this was for sales people not for the consumer.

yup . Some salesperson somewhere struck it rich selling players and discs , convincing JITB that this would save them training hours.

Jack in the box and the music of Craig Palmer....an odd combo. Thanks for sharing this one! Def a good educational video for anyone who doesn't know about Laserdiscs. Had to laugh though when they were showing the "wrong" way to treat LD's LOL

So, is this a training video on how to make Jack in the Box food, or how to care for the disc that you use to train to make Jack in the Box food? Also, at 16:55 they look like a couple of Sea Org workers lol

Until I watched this, I forgot how big a laser disc was. Thing is the same size as cars wheels.

If it's possible, they have to warn against it just so they won't be sued if some idiot actually does it.

That seems overly complicated just to watch a training video.
