Thanks, glad you liked it! Apologies about talking quickly though, I'll keep working at better pacing - the stream is twitch.tv/meralonne though if you wanted to swing by when I'm on! :)
Hi meralonne :) At first thanks for the very informative guide ! Which spec would you recommend for mythic +? Blade of Wrath or Divine Hammer ? I know sometimes it depends but in generell :)
Really does depend on what you're aiming for, but Divine Hammer in general is safe because you do good AoE and decent single target too. Things like Upper Karazhan might be different though since the AoE requirement is pretty lackluster. Hope this helps a bit, but it really does depend! :)
I recently got the scarlet Inquisitor’s expurgation and I was wondering when/if it would be a dps increase to use divine storm on single target. Great video :D
Thanks, glad you liked the video! As far as when Divine Storm should pass Templar's Verdict on singlet target, a bit of math based of my own Paladin's numbers (with no Divine Storm or Templar's Verdict relics) shows that at about 13 stacks, Divine Storm should start to do more damage than Templar's Verdict. If you want to be sure, divide the damage on the tooltip for Templar's by the damage on the tooltip for Divine Storm. Take the decimal portion as a % (in my case, it was 1.725 or so, so I used 72.5%) and divide that by 6. Round up and that's the number of stacks you need to make Divine Storm stronger on single target. Hope this helps!
Divine Purpose is pretty fun but Crusade is just overall better for most situations. On the other hand, the talent ring (Soul of the Highlord I think?) is actually pretty strong as well, and some prefer it over Liadrin's, but that's up to you. I do recommend Crusade though.
I haven't done an addon video in some time unfortunately, what were you looking for? Like a setup type of thing, or just naming off the addons I have kind of thing? If it's the latter, I have most of them listed here: pastebin.com/AYMbDpMq If it's the former, I can look into doing a longer setup video for each one.
well on my DK all i use is bartender/dominions. what i could use since I'm starting a ret pally for the first time is the addon you have to tell you the cooldown time is up if that makes sense? only b/c im not familiar with any of the moves?
There are two you probably saw in the video - one is Doom_CooldownPulse which just flashes an icon in the middle of your screen when something is off CD (but can be inaccurate so I don't always recommend it). The other is the one producing the icons and things around the screen, which is from Weak Auras 2. It's a customizable add-on that can take some time to get used to, but if you think you might like it, then I have my Weak Auras posted here (use Ctrl+F to skip to the Retribution section): pastebin.com/MVALDxdc Hope this helps!
yes it did help. the video helped as well. i play it off and on while i play so i learn more as a go b/c i hear something new every time i listen lol. great vid, it helped
Counted quite a few times where you missed or completely ignored your proc for Blade of Justice. Wondering why? It’s an instant Crit on proc. Noticed you chose Wake of Ashes when you had 1 holy power rather than using the Blade of Justice proc. Missed out on some good dps there.
I'd have to watch it again to see exactly why I delayed it a bit for some of them, but for the Wake of Ashes part, it's worth keeping it close to on CD so it lines up well with Crusade, even if you waste 1 or 2 Holy Power (though ideally you wouldn't waste any, of course). Also, the reset for Blade of Justice from the Blade of Wrath talent does not guarantee a Crit, it just resets the cooldown. For the other times I seem to have sat on Blade of Justice, it might have been habit from using the T20 2pc set bonus, in which case I subconsciously wanted to cast Judgment first since it buffs your Blade of Justice for a period of time, but given that I wasn't wearing that set bonus in the video, I shouldn't have. Other possibilities include me simply messing up, and I do mess up especially when narrating and DPS'ing at the same time! In that case, you are correct and I should have used the proc pretty much immediately, as you noted. Hope this helps clear up at least some of the missed proc usage! :)
Moon Dancer Easiest way these days is to go to raidbots.com and click on "stat weights" then either find your toon via name and server or use the SimulationCraft add-on in-game (the command in game is /simc) and copy and paste that block of text into the field on the site. Run the sim and it should tell you your stat weights, and if you use Pawn you can import that string into that add-on, or just note which ones are best for you. On a side note, if you want to compare two pieces of gear, I recommend using the SimulationCraft add-on and just running two separate sims. Hope this helps!
meralonne thank you! I am 70 years old woman. Don’t do raids , dungeons only if necessary. But I try to keep my 11 - 110 characters geared properly. I use askmrrobot a lot, but not sure how accurate they are. Also access icy-veins. Love your your thorough explanations. Easy to follow and nice, coherent voice . First time here, subscribed.
I go over most of them in the last macros/addons section, but I also have a link here to a pastebin with the addons I use: pastebin.com/AYMbDpMq Hope this helps! :)
Oh did I not? I may have forgotten back then or I thought people would read that one trait but in retrospect I think I should have mentioned it (and in future updates for Legion I will be sure to do so)! Thanks for the heads up! :)
I fucking hate that I have to Sim myself and use a third party software and addons just to figure out information the game should already tell me. Whether I do more DPS with one item vs another, it's a constant pain in the ass. GJ Blizzard on making staty priority on Ret so fucking volatile, love the way this shit fluctuates-- it so intuitive.
Yeah it's pretty rough sometimes, especially if you just want to jump in and not have to do all that stuff. Luckily for Ret, it's generally just ilvl you can go by, as most stats are fairly close (neck/rings are a bit more stat dependent since there's no Strength to off-set the secondary stats). I still think Blizzard just figures that since people will do it anyway, they don't have to, which sucks and is pretty lazy of them. Oh well. :( Anyway, the priority seems to have shifted a bit now, again it's still close but generally Haste > Mastery > Crit > Vers. I'll make an update video once things have settled down and I can test and confirm stats and talents in different scenarios.
Liking this Video, You've been talking very quickly .Didn't catch the steam contact for further questions. Thanks Babu on Doomhammer

Awesome I really appreciate that!
No problem, glad I could help! :)
what do you think about taking divine purpose i normally have it proc alot

thanks for this awesome guide :D
pallys are so op atm xD
lvled mine up from 100 to 110 and got her to 915 ilvl and dps is insane xP
You're very welcome, and I'm glad you're enjoying your pally and having good results from it too! :D
would you happen to have a video on the addons you use for your ret pally?
I haven't done an addon video in some time unfortunately, what were you looking for? Like a setup type of thing, or just naming off the addons I have kind of thing? If it's the latter, I have most of them listed here: pastebin.com/AYMbDpMq

How do you “sim” yourself?

Moon Dancer Thanks and I'm glad I could help!
can you tell what Addons do you use?
I go over most of them in the last macros/addons section, but I also have a link here to a pastebin with the addons I use: pastebin.com/AYMbDpMq
Hope this helps! :)
meralonne thank u)
You're very welcome!
Umm you didnt mention the fact that if you put both the blessings on yourself you get 4% strength, good guide though
Oh did I not? I may have forgotten back then or I thought people would read that one trait but in retrospect I think I should have mentioned it (and in future updates for Legion I will be sure to do so)! Thanks for the heads up! :)
You don't have to have both blessings on yourself to get the buff. As long as you have both buffs active you'll get the buff. ^^
hello,pls addon's name!!thx
I go over them at the end of the video, but here's a link to a list of the addons I use: pastebin.com/AYMbDpMq
Hope this helps!
I used to have same name on private server :D
22timon22 Haha oh yeah? What a coincidence! :P
Are you British or American?
