Dennys.. just want to say thank you again for your video. I just got my Photon Mono 4k and I think I watched your video over 5 times already. It has taught me how to use the RERF feature (despite the firmware bug) and I even went on to create my own RERF file. It is certainly a very interesting learning experience. Hopefully, I would be able to dial in the resin exposure and print models as detailed as yours are in time to come. Cheers.

@@bertkooijmans4769 there are 2 ways. 1. You could try to split open the old fep plastic gasket, so you can just replace the fep. 2. You can cut out the old fep with utility knife and check my video for intalling new fep, basically works just the same for replace fep with single gasket.

from looking at part 2, seems like you got a pre-release model, with better exposure consistency but old/simpler sanded buildplate(not the fancy checkered sandblasted surface). the newer ones seem to have light gridding/cold spot issues being common, though with the fancier build plate somehow

what sucks about this photon mono 4k is the FEP has to be there glued in frame FEP no changing your own FEP. you need that screen guard and gasket for when the glue fails and leaks resin all over the screen.
What are your settings(bottom exposure and exposure) for R_E_R_F0.5mm. After printing R_E_R_F_0.5mm Only 1,3,7,8 are stuck to bed rest are stuck on tank. Only successful print was 7. I am unable to find bottom exposure time and exposure time for 7. I am using UV 60%
Do you have a magnetic plate installed on your Photon Mono 4K? It would be nice if you made a video about it. I installed one on my printer, on the first print today it made weird noises before the first layer as the printhead touched the ground. Does anyone can relate this and could help me with informations?
Dennys, just got my printer. Something is very confusing to me. Is there already a screenprotector on the lcd? Because i also see it on your video, you also have a foil that is over the screen, just like as there is a screen protector underneath. It also came with an exta one in the box. should i also install that, or is it really a spare piece?
That foil over the screen is to protect during shipping. You could use that as screen guard too. Although the provided screen guard seems stronger compare to the foil
How do you create a custom refr test? Or is it possible to run multiple parts with different exposure settings at the same time? And if so, what software/ how would you program it? I just got the mono 4k a few days ago.
If you see in my video They have a grid that is build in the printer firmware. You need to place your object inside those grid. So several dry print like in the video to check the placement is correct might be needed. Set the starting exposure in photon workshop, it will automatically have 0.4s increments. Then slice the file and name it R_E_R_F. The printer will automatically read it as multiple exposure rerf file

Hi my mono 4k just arrived today. I am in the process of installing everything and paused hahaha... Do we have to install the included screen protector or the printer is already has it on from the factory?( under the protective screen that we peel with the help of a small sticker at the corner). Help :D
@@wangdennys I notice the outer dimension of the included screenguard is bigger than the inner hole/cut of the black tape that already on the screen. If I install it, The screenguard would be sitting on the top of that black tape and the edges wont stick perfectly and contain air bubble. Is that okay?
Hmm, is it just me or does the Z-axis rail look slimmer than the Photon Mono (2k)? I hope they didn't downgrade the rail. From what I gather, the Photon Mono is known to be a reliable and consistent printer. Hopefully, this 4k version is the same.

Iya kayanya speed kena lock di firmware printer. Nanti mau ditest pake chitu. Off time 1s amannya kalo dr pengalamanku ngeprint, biar resin ada waktu buat settle. Untuk minimalisir fail print.

I wait after the bottom layers and then I use a cronometer and the longest part was about 15 seconds long... And the same happened with another rerf based on yours I found in internet... Everything fine with a dry print with a normal file... And in your video, the longest part is on for more than those 3,8 seconds it is supposed to be... Am I wrong????
@@wangdennys but in your video, in your dry print, the 8th figure is proyected for eleven seconds, from 10:08 to 10:19 aproximately... that is much more than the supposed exposition time... You can check it in the video (min. 10:08)... it looks like the rerf method is not working properly on mono 4k
Must be nice to get the correct machine sent to you and not have to wait an additional week just to have to wait even more for them to send a shipping label to you to get the wrong machine back then wait more for them to get that and have to wait again for them to ship the correct machine out to you. I don’t think I’ll be dealing with anycubic anymore after all this.
Do you know that Anycubic doesn't deliver components anymore after they stop producing the machines? I have an Anycubic Predator for less than 3 years and after the touch screen has been broken I have to throw away the printer. Anycubic doesn´t realize that they are digging their own grave with this policy. Never an Anycubic to me.

0.05 less detail than 0.03
That is why i usually use 0.03 for all test print.
But it will print just fine on 0.05

You could use that protective film as screen guard.
But add some kapton tape to the edges, because that protective film is not covering the edges.

That is weird for sure.
Could be anycubic did some changes to the firmware.
Or maybe try delete the file from the usb stick and copy a new one.
