You mention Vheabos Vi, but you don't actually explain how to get there. It's just two jumps north of Dargonus, first jump to Narmer IV, then Mortus Acies, which is the system with Vheabos VI. For anyone who still needs it.

Does it make a difference in which order you visit the planets or if you take your time exploring first?

Order does not matter but I recommend going to Janus first. Gives you access to arguably the best companion in the game (by pure killing potential standards at least).

How many Colonies are there ? Because I keep seeing these 4 names : Janus, Dargonus, Kiava Gamma, Vheabos VI.
But there's Foulstone aswell ? If I take foulstone, am I locked from one of the others ?
Can I just plant a Colony everytime I can, or are we limited to a maximum set of Colony to grow ? (like "17" potential, but you can grow only 4 total ?)
I found Foulstone but I don't wanna do a Colony here if that locks me from "Main" Colony planets like the 4 everyone mention :\

The four main colonies are main story dependent so you can’t avoid them if you want to progress.
