Taretha plays such an important role in warcraft's story. The kindness she held for Thrall growing up, being a sister to him, allowed Thrall to understand their is good in people, along with evil such as Blackmore. If it wasn't for her imparting this on him, Thrall wouldn't have gone on to become the good natured but stern warchief he became, wouldn't have formed the new horde, wouldn't have helped to build the horde up and create a parallel to the alliance, and thus have an equal force needed to help protect azeroth. Edit: Also they changed the story, Blackmoore didn't mount Taretha's head on a pike for Thrall to find, he threw her decapitated head from the battlements down to his feet, sending Thrall into a rage and unleashing his wrath against Blackmoore
Why the hell the nicest characters of war crafts lore allways have the worst endings.....i hate blizzard for that....Taretha didnt deserved such ending....
@@NunoSilva-oi5mb I suppose it comes down to what they think is character motivation, kinda like Batman's motivation to stop crime because of what happened to his parents.
@@NunoSilva-oi5mb It makes sense here. Taretha was playing with fire for her entire life with such actions, because it was a world at the time where any human and orc interactions other than killing or enslaving each other was seen as traitorous.
Except Warcraft 1-2 barely had a story. 1 in particular. The story came from novels well after those games. Warcraft 3 and frozen throne were the exception.
Warcraft 3 still remains as one of the most epic RTS to ever have been made. I only wish that the ogres would have remained allied to the Horde as I like their asthetic and lore better than the Tauren. Finally I disagree with Warcraft 2 having little to no story. I bought that game long ago and the artwork and lore written in it by Chris Metzen setup many of the famous Heroes and Warlords we know today. From King Lothar and Uther the Light bringer to Ogrim Doomhammer and Gul'dan to Archmage Antonidas and Zul'jin. There is so much to that game which is why it has been molded and retold for modern audiences.

Getting professional, or even amateur voice actors, is a lot harder - and more expensive - than you might realize. Finding those that are also reliable is a reputation that has been run down into the mud by one shitty VA too many. The creator here may have also wanted to preserve the original voices of the characters. It is a shame, though, that the ai is rather monotone
At least for the recognizeable WC3 voices Thrall, Drek'Thar and Hellscream I would have stuck with AI anyway. But in the future I would like to involve more real voice actors.

Is there a version with no voices? Or is there a voice volume that I can lower down in the options menu? Honestly it's been a long time since I touched Reforged.
Well, that's going to be inevitable when you're the leader of an entire race, including a few others. Especially when they have the history that the orcs had. Or when you're allied with somebody like Sylvanas. All in all Thrall did quite well as leader, his only real screw up was his relationship with and promotion of Garrosh.
@@bobdole7451 Are you familiar with "A Nerubian Journey"? In that story, Thrall never became a war chief, but he became the leader of an official orcish country at one point.

They have green skin in the normal timeline, as all orcs near fel are affected. And even the Frostwolf clan used demon magic for a time. The brown versions are either from the movie, which is not canon, or from a different timeline, where the orcs rejected the demons.
Thrall just went for a walk.
A very enthusiastic walk.
Potentially the longest walk of his life.
Through the woods.

I honestly wish Warcraft stayed this way, orcs vs humans, horde vs alliance. Not what WoW had wrought.
