Nice !!! The word " boat " break out another thousand !! Good luck on them swords.. That'll be perfect also for those tilefish I had some good numbers in the poor man's at the Rock piles for them the bottom was a mixture of hard ,muddy , rocky. Quite lots of golden tile, Blue Line, in Ruby Reds. And once in awhile we would get sea bass but they were for 5 lbs. Another great video !!
I saw this video a while ago but didn’t comment. I stumbled across it again. Let me say that I am a jersey guy, I don’t live there anymore but still jersey to the bone nonetheless. I gotta say this...wtf. Didn’t anyone show you how to operate that reel? Didn’t you think something was wrong when the handle went flying around at 20 miles an hour and the whole thing was shaking like Saint Vitus dance! Ok - enough ball breaking...lol We catch em’ good in San Diego. I bought the LP1200 and like it a lot. The current is slow here, so most guys hand crank, myself included. We get away with 6 lbs of lead - very mild compared to most places. I prefer to use more (10 lbs) on the LP because it wears them down a lot more. The no current situation does seem to make the fish more erratic, they change direction a lot because there is minimal current to guide them. I know it’s cold there now, but these fish are always around. I subscribed, so I’ll check back in. Tight Lines Bill
ha. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing. You would think for 5 k it'd have some instructions. But....yea I knew something was off. I figured it out in the end. I'm a pretty smart guy but lacking in mechanical common sense for sure. Glad to see ur out in Cali. I've thought about moving but just can't seem to leave family and friends.
Dang! Spending some cash!! Some people buy golf clubs, people like us buy fishing gear!! Have to send you pic of sword fish sword I have on wall caught out of NJ in 1976!! Woot!
the internal components of the 80 wide are just like a regular penn, but anything related to the motor/hooker side you'll have to send to Hooker for service
Are you still liking this setup? Any issues or anything you would do different next time?
We haven't even had it on the boat this year as we just haven't been fishing much. But so far it's been perfect.

thats beautiful
Why don't you use miya epoch!
For a 2000 you will be satisfy performance & plenty of power
Never heard of that reel Fahad. I'll check it out!!
twist your plug to lock it in...
Why not to hollow core?
we use hollowcore when using a long top shot. Not necessary for this application. I also don't like the way hollow core cuts through the water.
Kid in a candy store I'd leave with a thin wallet
Going this week for swords hopefully
Thanks for watching and good luck!
Disengage the hand crank won’t warble
I find J braid loses pigment more quickly than powerpro.... anyone else have a similar experience?
So far so good on the blue J braid. hasn't lost too much color.
