Dang Aaron! That was harsh...at least try to put on a poker face. Brian, stop apologizing for everything. The other guys are not always right! Still enjoy watching you all.
That reaction was really unnecessary. At first I wondered if he was just *really* leaning into a bit, but quickly realized this was some legit frustration and annoyance. Seems like a flare up of the same kind of temper that stews under the surface (re his “enough” comment). He’s had a couple other little moments like this on the pod where he has a little trigger get the best of him. He’s able to identify it quickly afterward and reel it in, but again I think it shows what lies underneath.
Aaron will correct Nate’s grammar and pronunciations for an entire episode, but he gets upset because Breakfast corrects him on one word! Lighten up, Aaron!
Man, what a ride! I remember first catching the Tennessee Kid special by accident and then binged every Nate special I could find. Found the podcast and binged every episode until I got caught up. Then got to see Nate live in a little comedy club here in Corpus Christi in 2021. Last night, again in Corpus Christi, I got front row seats and watched Nate put on an absolutely killer set in a packed arena. You all have introduced me to so many comedians and it's been great watching you all reach new levels of success. I hope you all continue this podcast. My buddies and I have all grown up and moved to different corners of the US. While we still keep in contact, I do miss our long nights hanging out talking about nothing, which this podcast makes me think of fondly. Wishing you all the absolute best and thanks for all you do to shed a light of happiness in the darkness...
Aaron, respect your elders and when Brown Bean corrects your reading, recognize that he’s smarter than you and check the attitude! 😂 Love the podcast and you guys are the best!
"I don't really trust anyone but we only have so many options." -Dusty Slay I couldn't agree more. And just for fun since I'm from Arkansas, it's pronounced OMAHOGS.
I agree with the guy commenting on Aaron's attitude lately. Almost bit Bumblebees head off. Maybe the kid is stressing him out already. Relax Aaron, you'll be a legendary father.
34:15 Aaron seems unreasonably upset about a simple correction 😂 I’d rather be corrected on every word I said by Better Business Bureau, than work another day at my job. Calm down Aaron, that’s enough ❤
I miss Nate so much. Can’t wait until he’s back. This is no reflection on my enjoyment of the podcast but I was really looking forward to him being back today. Congratulations on the additional show in Texas. Lucky folks!
Dusty's Cleveland show was amazing!! I was 3 people down from the lady that yelled out and Dusty handled it like a pro! The new material was awesome and had me in tears the whole time! Definitely was having a good time!
Aaron cannot get out of his way. Every episode Aaron has at least one moment where he proves he can dish it out, but cannot take it. I'm glad Brian (The Backbone) Bates stopped him to correct his reading error. Aaron refuses to learn from these giants that over-shadow him. Learn from Brian Aaron and take a break from being so defensive and insecure.
Aaron getting defensive about Brian stopping him, during the comment read, shows a lack of awareness of how many times they all have made light of something Brian has said. We all know who makes this podcast work and how quickly it would fold if Brian let one of the others take over the research and topics for it. Aaron can put off other's comments, but when someone differs from his opinion, he shrugs it off like he's the one with all the answers. Apology needed.
Another way to explain not seeing the moon before it eclipses the sun is imagine someone shining a bright flashlight in your eyes. You will not see the person's other hand until that hand moves in front of the flashlight to block the brightness.
I loved the Nickel Creek comment! I went to a Nickel Creek concert in Athens, GA when I was about 16 with some family and friends that were superfans. It was an outdoor venue in the middle of a few of the Freshman dorms. We got there super early and were standing in the front, leaning against the fence for the entire show and I actually fell asleep during their concert while leaning up against the fence. For context, my nickname was "Crash" because I would hit a wall at like 9:30 and go to sleep wherever I could find a place to lay down. I was in/out for a good 15+ minutes of their set before my brother managed to wake me up and keep me awake. As a musician myself, I often think about how Nickle Creek must have felt seeing someone in the front row sleeping through their concert (whether they were insulted, didn't even notice, or found it hilarious). If I ever meet the band, I'd be curious to ask if that kind of thing even stands out with all the concerts they've done
I love how respectful & supportive of each other you 3 are. It's refreshing to see. I also agree w Dusty about 2 things: 1. Shred your own cheese! 2. Why would you NOT wear the band shirt of a band you're going to see in concert!? You wear your sports team shirts to games. You're showing your support of the band. It makes no sense to me that people made up this ridiculous rule.
I need to word this properly lol…. I’m really enjoying this pod with just these guys. Nate is the funniest guy alive obviously but these three seem like 3 brothers talking without they’re father around :)Really great job gentlemen
It has always been frustrating to talk to out-of-state folks about being from Nebraska. Thanks to the guys for bringing up western Nebraska and that the state is not just flat and full of corn. I urge everyone to stay off I-80 and experience the real landscapes of Nebraska through the sandhills, wetlands, bluffs, and fields.
I am an occasional listener of the podcast as my daughter, Mackenzie is a super fan and was an early-adopter of Nate's brand of humor. I had to comment on Brian doing a show in Moberly, MO. So glad you went and met some of the most friendly, down-to-earth folks there are. Small towns of America don't get the credit they deserve for raising strong families and taking care of their own. I moved away long ago but always have to brag on my hometown whenever I get the chance!
This is my husband’s UA-cam account - I’m Carol Davis. Great episode on Nebraska! I can’t wait until you do a Maryland episode so Aaron can learn how wrong he was! I think his exact words were “Maryland ugh!” Beaches, mountains, Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis, steamed crabs, crab cakes, the Orioles, the list goes on and on! Can’t wait to see you perform someday Brian. I’ve seen Nate, Aaron and Dusty so far. I lived in MD for 30+ years. Now live in Ponte Vedra FL. I saw Aaron and Dusty at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall where I’m a volunteer usher. Love all 4 of you - even Aaron!
Aaron did not finish the podcast with, “None of this is lost on us.” I look forward to that line on every Nateless episode but today I was left wanting. I guess it is finally lost on him.
Dusty is 100% correct! (this could be a new tagline) 😁 About healthy eating, avoiding microplastics and a good bit of so much other stuff. In other news, Aaron should check his attitude.. but loving the good-natured rivalry between him and BESTEST BREAKFAST BATES!
Dusty, can you share pictures and/or a video tour of your yard? Hearing you describe your backyard eco system was incredible and I bet so many others would also love to see it!
Can’t believe yall didn’t have JOHNNY CARSON on your Nebraska list. Three professional comics don’t know that he was from Nebraska? He talked about it pretty often on the Tonight Show.

Love the podcast and always enjoy hearing Nate’s take on the topic. But this episodes has become one of my favorites! The banter between Aaron, Dusty and Berkshire Hathaway is so entertaining. It seems the guys let their guard down and are able to talk to joke more with each other. Nate is great, but it’s a different dynamic with his absence. Keep having a good time folks!

How would you rank each of the seven days of the week on a scale from “The BEST day to hold a comedy show” to “The WORST day to hold a comedy show”? I was at Monday’s show in Austin and Julian McCullough (the host) commented repeatedly throughout the night that people were still trickling in because it was a “Monday show”. Regardless, Nate crushed it once again. It’s always a fun memory to cry from laughter alongside my wife. Thanks for the laughs.
Went to Dusty's Cleveland show with a few friends (hot show, btw). We got supper before the show and were talking about how to get comments read on the podcast. We all agreed that our favorite comments are the ones that spark a healthy conversation between y'all. Sometimes, I think people just want to comment as if they're in the room. But usually the ones that are memorable are just random thoughts that you guys react to. Anyways, just wanted to let you know: us folks don't really have too much going on out here.
You guys talking about having only 40 folks on the plane reminded me of a flight I took at the start of the pandemic. I was on a flight to LAX and the plane was a 787 which has 3 rows of seats. There was only about 30 people on the entire flight and I had a window seat. During boarding some dude sat right next to me in the middle seat. I was so confused as to why he didn't choose a different seat. Then they closed the doors (because all 30 folks were now sitting...in their own rows), they guy then asked me "do you mind if I go sit in another row?". I had a confused look on my face but agreed. It was such a weird move on that guys part!
I think it's about time Hannah got on this pod. Nate's wife got a load of views, so I'm sure she'll do great. She's amazing on We're Having A Good Time podcast ❤
What I thought was most funny about Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom: Marlin would do commentary and say, “While I am safely situated out of the view of the lion, Jim will be approaching the lion’s territory to get a better view!”
So cool that Dusty was in Pensacola Florida. I'm a college student in Pensacola, but I'm a student at Pensacola Christian College. Would have loved to have been there! My college roommate is actually the one who introduced me to the podcast, have really enjoyed it the last year, it has saved me from boredom when studying for tests! Thanks so much, keep up the good work.
22 month is called 2 year old or just under 2. This is a peeve, I'm giving you a "that's enough" you got 2 months till their 2 and then I emplore you to start using 2 years, 2years and a half etc. 😅❤
@@jond661 the developmental stages in kids under the age of 2, change so often that as a mother, this is how we identify our kiddos. There is a HUGE difference between ages 1 & 2. So my kid is technically 1, but he weeks away from 2. To say that he is 1, is unjust.

In regard to Aaron’s deck mate raccoon and the flies possibly carrying rabies. I run a pest route in rural Arkansas, this one time I had to remove a liquified possum from under a ladies house. After bagging it up I was making my way to the crawl door when I started to itch all over, I was wearing a white disposable suit and when I looked down it was covered in at least a million fleas. As I was scrambling out the door in torment the thought hit me. “These fleas was just eatin on that dead possum, now they are munchin on me, I am 99% sure the BUBONIC PLAGUE was spread through fleas, so that’s nice.”Flies don’t carry rabies but fleas could kill us all. Btw, I am allergic to flea bites. Goodbye folks!
My wife and I had a great time watching Nate and the gang he had with him in Corpus Christi last night!! Looking forward to the day to catching Bates, Weber and Slay on stage!
Perfect Nateland form, they start talking about Omaha Steaks, and the next ad read is for "Butcherbox". Also Aaron makes a comment on Nebraska being middle America. In The Counting Crows song "Omaha" the lyrics say, "Omaha, somewhere in middle America."
I’m 35 minutes in and they seem so moody today. Also, yes Aaron, I agree with Brian, that one word does throw the whole sentence off. “Take” your device off makes me think she had a huge camcorder strapped to her 😂
Hello Folks! It always makes me chuckle to myself how proud of himself Dusty is for being able to read an ad without errors. It's the little things in life that make it worth living. And no, I’m not THAT Mike Terry from Sirius XM.
We just saw Nate in Houston. I was crying laughing the entire time, but the man in front of us sat with his arms crossed the entire time and clearly hates fun. He kept looking back at us like WE were the crazy ones. I wanted to pull an Aaron and lean forward and say “Enough!” But my husband doesn’t like me to start fights with giant grumpy men. Also, our car driver’s side windows also do not roll down, and we felt every word of that bit. I cry laughed until I couldn’t breathe! Thank you all for the absolute joy you bring to our lives!
I went to see Nate with a friend of mine. We had front row seats. My friend sits naturally with her arms crossed. I don’t think she was aware of what she was doing. Julian called her out.
Hey guys, quick correction here. Most of the states are not based on Native American words. It’s about 12 of them. New York, Pennsylvania, Maine, road island, Kentucky, the Carolinians, the list goes on for about 35-40. I love how confidently you all agreed about it though 😂 don’t worry about it Bartleby!
I can't believe Johnny Carson wasn't mentioned as a famous person from Nebraska. Even though he was born in Iowa, he moved to Nebraska when he was a child and graduated High School in Norfolk (pronounced Norfork). My grandma was in high school the same time as him, and she says that he would perform magic tricks at school.
I think unicameral means a single body of legislators as in they don't have a House AND Senate, just one Nebraska Legislature. I don't think it means there are no political party affiliations in Nebraska.
We used to live in Bowling Green and always had a blast at the Hot Rod’s games- y’all should catch one if you’re around and have time. Fireworks show after every single game 😂
You can definitely wear a band t-shirt to their concert, just as you should wear your team's gear (t-shirt, jersey, hat, etc) when you go see them at a live sporting event.
Today, I bought a block of cheese. I usually get the shredded. No more! I wish I had known sooner. Thank you, Dusty, for keeping myself and the public safe.
I like how Biscuit Head tells Dusty how jealous he is about all of his free time to watch movies and 20min later he lists all of the movies he has watched recently. 😂
Brian, that story about you getting excited seeing "mutual of Omaha" in the phone book was so sweet! I'm going to be 51 in a few weeks, and I loved that show, too.... And I would read the phone book, as well as shampoo bottles, for entertainment😂
Being from Nebraska I was pleased to hear all the things about my state. I do feel like you missed a couple of things. You guys are comedy guys and left out Johnny Carson being from Nebraska. Also a few very famous people. Nick Nolte, Henry Fonda, Marlin Brando, Fred Astaire. As far as movies You have to see To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar filmed in Omaha. And as far as our zoo. It’s a beautiful thing but yes, Arron it is tough to see it on a crowded day. According to USA Today it is #1! Love the podcast, it’s the highlight of my week.
@@AaronWebercomedyc’mon man! The OSU/Michigan rivalry literally stems from a war! A minor “war” (The Toledo War) but a war nonetheless. That’s pretty epic.
I think it’s funny that people say such and such schools have the greatest rivalry in all of sports. It’s so debatable it’s ridiculous. Just like “greatest” player or team over time.
This was more entertaining than driving across Nebraska on I-80. However, there was little mention on corn and no mention of Nebraska's volleyball team. I'll go proofread this now.
Runzas are delicious! Also, Up In The Air shot some scenes at my High School, Affton High School, in St. Louis. I think they cut most of the scenes, but some of my friends are in it when they are in the gymnasium. It was pretty cool to see the transformation for the movie set.
Am I the only one that was completely thrown off by the draft kings read when the voiceover popped up?! I was so annoyed thinking another UA-cam ad popped up turns out Aaron and Biscuitville have just finally wisened up… glad to see the pod continuing to grow
Aaron, thanks for sharing about the dead raccoon. I grew up in the country and I miss the adventure of wildlife, dead or alive. (Thanks for keeping the podcast clean, but I would have loved to see that picture…) Keep bringing up random life adventures on the podcast; it keeps it interesting! Also I appreciate your sarcasm. You’re a great podcaster; keep up the good work!
❤you all but do miss Nate and his unusual intelligence and common sense ❤! Lawns are death! Thank you Dusty!! For a Norte Dame grad Aaron has some great gaps in his knowledge 😂😂😂.❤❤
I came to understand that people record and take pictures more if their love language is quality time. They do it to remember the time with friends. Once I read that book I became more understanding of the way people do things in their life.
Conor Oberst, my favorite singer/songwriter is from Omaha. Dusty might know of him with his extensive music knowledge. Entry song I'd recommend for this crowd, "Ahead of the Curve".
Missed touching on the Irish Capital of Nebraska… O’Neill, which is where I grew up. It’s consistently listed as one of the best places in America to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, is home to the world’s largest shamrock, and is famous for the green horse that trots in the annual St. Patty’s Day parade. It was always something to look forward to as kids because it was always the weekend we knew our parents would not be in any condition to supervise us.
Aaron is the BEST. He’s one of the nicest comics I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Very kind and very down to earth. Not an unkind bone in his body! Remember folks, it’s a comedy podcast. He does bits for a living.
Hey ya’ll- just an update Dusty WAS able to sell out the Tampa Theatre on Saturday night and it was SO GOOD! Way better than I expected 😂 kidding!! Seriously, his ability to completely “squirrel” off on something and then find his way back is amazing! And his callback game is unmatched! Awesome show ❤️
I wonder when they will have Nate back as a guest.

I hear he just filmed another special. It would be a good time to have him on.
I hope this comment gets read on the podcast 😂

22 month is called 2 year old or just under 2. This is a peeve, I'm giving you a "that's enough" you got 2 months till their 2 and then I emplore you to start using 2 years, 2years and a half etc. 😅❤
@@jond661I’ve actually got to hit you with an ‘’enough’’ my guy. The kid isn’t at 24 months yet. YOU BLEW IT BUDDY
@@SteveKelly1 😅😂😬👍
@@jond661 the developmental stages in kids under the age of 2, change so often that as a mother, this is how we identify our kiddos. There is a HUGE difference between ages 1 & 2. So my kid is technically 1, but he weeks away from 2. To say that he is 1, is unjust.
@@robyngillum8577 I get it im the dad of a one (52 weeks) and four year(48 month) old. Outside of a doctor no-one but the mom cares. Of course I was just trying to kid around
YESTERDAY I was searching for the Nebraska episode. Thank you!
“Take” your device off makes me think she had a huge camcorder strapped to her 😂
I have been wondering what the significance of what the Hey Bear greeting is about? 😊
@@CharlottePhillips-u8fWas that in Houston? I was at that show!! 😂
Hey Dusty, could you put your playlist on UA-cam Music, too, please. 🙏🏿
Hello Folks and Hey Bear
I think unicameral means a single body of legislators as in they don't have a House AND Senate, just one Nebraska Legislature. I don't think it means there are no political party affiliations in Nebraska.
This is correct. Lol
Can’t wait to see Dusty in Panama City this weekend.
We used to live in Bowling Green and always had a blast at the Hot Rod’s games- y’all should catch one if you’re around and have time. Fireworks show after every single game 😂
I get season tickets down first base line behind the dugout, it’s an awesome little ballpark!
@@K.Fulkerson yes! It’s so easy and affordable. From parking to snacks, you can’t beat it. Especially with little ones! Go Turbo 😉
You can definitely wear a band t-shirt to their concert, just as you should wear your team's gear (t-shirt, jersey, hat, etc) when you go see them at a live sporting event.
After listening to the Nebraska episode, the tornado destruction hit my heart even harder! Crazy coincidence!
I’m sorry, but Aaron couldn’t be more wrong. It is widely known that the greatest rivalry in all of sports is the OSU Michigan rivalry.
-Dave Sanders
I disagree. But that’s fine.
- Aaron Weber
@@AaronWebercomedyc’mon man! The OSU/Michigan rivalry literally stems from a war! A minor “war” (The Toledo War) but a war nonetheless. That’s pretty epic.
Truth.
@AaronWebercomedy love your work Aaron
I think it’s funny that people say such and such schools have the greatest rivalry in all of sports. It’s so debatable it’s ridiculous. Just like “greatest” player or team over time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the show is so much better without Nate and his ramblings and interruptions.
I love Nate, but darn it, I agree! 😢
Love Dusty always being suspicious 😂 I have recently learned about Celtic salt. I use it🙂
Am I the only one that was completely thrown off by the draft kings read when the voiceover popped up?! I was so annoyed thinking another UA-cam ad popped up turns out Aaron and Biscuitville have just finally wisened up… glad to see the pod continuing to grow
Dusty is always right.
Aaron, thanks for sharing about the dead raccoon. I grew up in the country and I miss the adventure of wildlife, dead or alive. (Thanks for keeping the podcast clean, but I would have loved to see that picture…)
Keep bringing up random life adventures on the podcast; it keeps it interesting! Also I appreciate your sarcasm. You’re a great podcaster; keep up the good work!
Y’all don’t tell Nate, but the three of you do a fantastic job!
Who needs Nate. You guys rock. Even you Bates.
#lovedustyslay
❤you all but do miss Nate and his unusual intelligence and common sense ❤! Lawns are death! Thank you Dusty!! For a Norte Dame grad Aaron has some great gaps in his knowledge 😂😂😂.❤❤
I came to understand that people record and take pictures more if their love language is quality time. They do it to remember the time with friends. Once I read that book I became more understanding of the way people do things in their life.
Nashville Hot! It's a hot show.
Dusty is 100% correct. Diggstown is a great and extremely underrated movie!
Every podcast needs a villain . Glad it's A-ron😈!
Dusty is on point about Diggstown! Fantastic movie.
Aaron would love Big House games if we was a Michigan fan. The experience is like none other.
Octber 11-13 we will be in Nashville. nothing on the calendar at Zanies. Hoping to see one of you.
🍩🍩"Disappointed?" 😂😂🤣
Hey ya’ll- just an update Dusty WAS able to sell out the Tampa Theatre on Saturday night and it was SO GOOD! Way better than I expected 😂 kidding!! Seriously, his ability to completely “squirrel” off on something and then find his way back is amazing! And his callback game is unmatched! Awesome show ❤️
University of Michigan Flint??? I grew up in Flint and live in Nashville now. Small world Dusty!
Aaron is such a jerk. His I am perfect attitude is horrible.
I am perfect though
