- This video is the first in a series of videos about the tambourine.
If you are interested in learning this instrument and practicing, this is the channel.
You will find 5 exercises that were prepared for those who are beginning.
You can use this instrument in gospel, funk, rock, dance, pop, religious music...
This instrument is easy to carry and covers many types of music giving it a special shine.
Practice daily to strengthen your arm muscles and build the stamina to keep playing all one or several songs.
Start playing 5 minutes a day, and then go to 10 minutes.
It is better to play 5/10 or more minutes every day than to play once a week for 1 or more hours.
Great loop to play/practice along 80 bpm:

///// My name is Emiliano Benevides and I play all kinds of percussion. /////
I grew up listening to Brazilian music (sambas, funk, rock, pagodes) like Bezerra da Silva, Zeca Pagodinho, Secos e Molhados, Clube da Esquina, Titãs, Chico Buarque, Ratos de Porão, Banda Black Rio, Samba Schools... and also international artists like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bauhaus, Tom Waits, Nick Cave to name a few.
I had the pleasure of winning the CALIFORNIA MUSIC AWARD for Outstanding Latin Alternative Album and the SF WEEKLY MUSIC AWARD for Best World Music in the Bay Area with my band Bat Makumba.
Right now I live in Switzerland and I am composing and playing with Custard Pie Power Funk.
It is a band from the Border Triangle France, Switzerland, and Germany.

Hello Christian. All the best to you.
This is a Rhythm Tech. Do you appreciate the sound? Today there are so many tambourines with so many materials. I love it.
Take care Christian and thanks.
Muy entretenido, gracias por compartir tu conocimiento!! ;)
Hola Belen. Yo que te agradezco. Gracias por comentar. Donde vives? Un saludo y Harmonía para ti y tus queridos.
Super and excellent video
I deeply appreciate your commentary. From where you watched? Lots of rhythm 🥁 and harmony to you.
I liked and subscribed! I also liked the cowbell/ conga videos. I can do the clave,, compana rhythms on cowbell and do the tumbao on the congas. I am looking how to play Pentecostal church style tambourine.
I also play pandiero, Caxia with samba band.
Yes, the tambourine (frame drum) fits so well in so many music styles. I saw some people playing the tambourine with the skin, some Pentecostal rhythm. Precious.
Here the Remo model for Pentecostal.

Hello Logkitty. First of all, thanks for your comment. How was the concert? Any video to share? I would love to see your project.
@@BigBangPercussion the thing is, no one in the project actually knows WHEN we're supposed to start. there isn't a date set yet, which is odd
Simple and awesome video thanks
Thank you for your comment.
Have a great year. Harmony and peace to you-.
I just found out I can't count :hidethepain:
Little by little. Have a wonderful day.
Listen to Jack Ashford play the tambourine on one of those old Motown 60s records . That’s how I learned to keep on the beat as a child . If you can’t hear it you can’t play it
@@dancingnature Hello and thanks for your commentary. Yeah, Jack Ashford is indeed a master with his tambourine. The beauty of music is that every single musician can bring something new, like Jack. I grew up listening to Paulinho da Costa, who also worked for years with Quince Jones and many Brazilian percussionists like Nana Vasconcelos and Airto Moreira. The Brazilian tambourine changed after Marcos Suzano.
For example, I started to play after visiting a gospel church around Wisconsin. I changed and started to do it with 2 tambourines.
