If it was a "Country" song it probably would've been num 1 or top 5 AT LEAST. I Love country music. It's OUR music from the Jump like every main music genre started by US. And as someone that listens to Country I can say, as a Musician, that it IS R&B ......Rhythm & Blues...that is, Country music
@@emmanueljoseph6702 British musician Kate Bush, wrote and produced it for the 1988 movie "She's Having A Baby" starring Kevin Bacon. Later included on her 1989, platinum album, "The Sensual World". Maxwell was 15 years old. Tank was 12. Kate was 30. I was 33........ and you were probably in preschool.
... I heard this small snippet on his IG AND I wrnt CRAZY!!! when i heard it one day on the radio as a full version for the first time on the my vacay trip in Savannah Georgia. I legit went crazy! Lol i love this song.
@hollyfrank0415 Loosely based on the 1988 original, written and produced as "This Woman's Work" by British musician Kate Bush. Tank only used her chorus and intro. Maxwell covered the whole song.
I hated this song when it first dropped because I felt Tank was biting his contemporary but now I like this song better than Maxwell's version. I did the same with Beyonce's cover of Before I let go.
There is no Maxwells version. They are 2 different songs. Maxwell remade the original from the 80’s Kate Bush’s This Woman’s Work. Tank wrote this song he only reused the chorus from Kate Bush’s This Woman’s Work
@chrisrusso6500 Maybe a bit presumptuous on Kate Bush's behalf. She wrote the 1988 original it was based off, from the man's perspective. Not the first time she's done that either.
The fact this song hasn't been number one globally is a tragedy
@112yoda I wonder if he paid royalties to Kate Bush for the chorus. She made a tidy sum out of Maxwell's cover.
Totally agree, what a song

This song has a chokehold on me!!
Me 2
Beautiful. Emotional. I also love the reflective, high EQ nature of the lyrics.
@onejameshan .......and he only had to borrow Kate Bush's 1988 chorus. Maxwell covered the whole song.
What a voice!
Always relevant and effective, thank you Tank !!!

When I heard it ….I actually had to sit down and made me reflect to NEVER take my next relationship for granted.

how does this have such low views
@just_julian Word must have got out that he lifted Kate Bush's 1988 chorus for "This Woman's Work". The one Maxwell copied.
Hope he paid royalties to Kate Bush for using her chorus.
Yes it was cleared y’all don’t know about the music business lol
@@TheKarlmorrison I know how it works. Just my way of saying he didn't write all of it.
