Hey.... congratulations on your motivating words at the start here Wayne !!! I am an old 68 years and I think you do a great job of firing up all those young people..... no complaints, no moans just telling it like it is. We need more folks like you... thank you !!! Also excellent tutorials (of course).
Brother, you just dropped more Pro Tools game on me than my TAFE (Aussie Tech School) teachers could teach me in nearly a year of classes from just an hour long video. God bless u
Thank you for taking the time to track down and solve the problem of the ctrl+up/down issue while recording! It's helpful to see someone like you go through troubleshooting when something doesn't work the way you expect it to. This video is overflowing with value 🤘
Just watched the complete video. Great Job. You are a very good teacher. MY wife was a High School teacher for 36 years. She was a great teacher ...so I know a great teacher when I see one. I made a list of every one of the shortcuts. I have used a lot of them over the last 12 years and forgot a bunch of them them over the last 12 years. I will hang the list on my studio desk and use it. Thanks again for taking the time to make your video.
I'm just getting started with PT after using Logic and Ableton for years, so naturally the first thing I did was start looking to good videos are shortcuts. Happily this was one of the first I found and it's by far the best. Thank you!
Thanks! I’ve watched a lot of videos on Pro Tools, and your’s are, by far, the best straight to the point videos out there. Keep up the good work! You’ve filled in a lot of blanks for me.
you probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
After being away from PT for a few years, this was a great review to jog my memory and learn a couple new tricks. Looking forward to getting that muscle memory back. Thanks for doing this. 🔥
You’re a treasure, bro. The amount I have learned in the past week from watching your videos is insane. On behalf of the community, THANK YOU BROTHER ❤
big up from jamaica i been studying the engineer level from 2years now but been artiste longer from young age and it just grow in love for me and few of your video are useful and can see that you your self has a passion for it .
Thanks, Wavy Wayne for all the knowledge and information you share to help other engineers, producers, etc. improve their skills to be able to record, mix, master, and produce music as a professional.
literally the first tip is gonna save me so much time and effort!!!!!! This is the second video of yours i'd stumbled across on the subject of pro-tools tips, and honestly i'm glad I hit the subscribe before the video even started. THANK YOU WAVY WAYNE, i'ma sit here and watch the rest of this now with my notepad out lmao
I am so pumped to become a more efficient editor in protools! Thank you so much for these tips man! I'mma watch all your videos until I become the best!
Can't imagine how much time these shortcuts would have saved me on prior projects. Thanks for putting this out, gonna make my workflow a whoollllllle lot faster!
So amazing to hear you say we’re creeping up on the 100 thousand and now you’re over 200 in only under a year🔥❤️ been rocking with ya since I started working with music 3 years ago🔥
Dude! Thank you for such a kicka$$ video! Very very informative… been using many of these for years but not all of them, and the “lock clips” omg - that was the winner! Been using PT for years and had no idea it could do that - drove me crazy! I can lock in Final Cut, and in Photoshop but why not in ProTools I always wondered ? Wow thank you for that! Again - outstanding video, and thank you for taking the time to make and post it.

Been using PT for a few years and I still learned something. Bro, this vid is FIRE. Thank you for the pdf. I printed it out and its here next to my keys.
Great Vid man, but when you select tracks Pro-Tools don't allow you to move the faders of the selected tracks and move then up/down? I figured there has to be a way (without having to group)?
I'm pretty sure this is the ULTIMATE VIDEO for Pro Tools users to learn all the IMPORTANT and all you need to become a good and fast engineer. Thanks man! Love your channel, your vibe and your sound! see you!
Thanks bud, although for laptop users you can also nudge with the comma and period under yellow active keyboard focus. Also to change the behaviour of the function keys F1 through F10 for your different edit and tool modes on a mac im pretty sure you can go to apple system settings and keyboard shortcuts to make them function as standard function keys.
Dope... I have to save this bookmark... a great reference. I've been wanting a sort of straight shot layout and the pace is good for you to follow while you demonstrate. I personally hate the mouse and find you have to look for it for your hand and then look for the cursor on screen then with a crosshair tight focus, you gotta grab, drag and >>click
Great video. I haven't finished watching but isn't there a short cut to add playlists on the fly. Not loop recording into new playlists but recording over a section of lets say a vocal track but before the punch out point you press something to generate a new playlist for that newly recorded part
Something I use a lot is Ctrl+Drag a clip (or Cmd on a Mac) left and right. That basically ignores the selected edit mode (e.g. Grid) and moves the clip as in Slip mode.
