I bought the Synergy Gold from Korea 4 months ago when my son was born. I was struggling so much with milk supply, latching... I had a medela from the hospital and I would only get 0.5oz per session. I was so desperate so I got this pump from Korea (I have family that live there and they sent it). It worked so much better and I was gradually able to increase my supply. The pump is bulky and it sucks that it is not cordless but I probably would not have been able to continue breastfeeding without this pump!!
Thank you for this video! You answered all my questions and made up my mind to stick with the S1. Was considering the Compact Dual but not being able to adjust cycle strength was a massive demerit. Also, the strength of that motor should be 300mmHg so the fact that you could only pull 240-250 shows a considerable variance (although I can’t say it’s any better with the S1.. have you tested the pull on that pump also?)
Question on longevity. A lot of people say their old Spectras last years and don't seem to have a true life. I've had Medela die on my pretty much in line as expected. Just wondering if these Synergy Golds have a listed suggested life in hours? Also, does the portable one work while plugged in? Thank you so much! Your videos are so helpful!
Wondering if there were any videos where the max MmHg of the Sg portable was mentioned based on Allison test readings. I am just weighting all options between Sg portable, non portable and S1.
It doesn’t apply to this video but am I missing a review video on the baby Buddha pump? I watched your unboxing videos on it about 2 months ago but you mentioned you were going to do a review on it but I didn’t see it when I look through your channel. Have you just not gotten to it yet? I just want to make sure I’m not missing it 🤪 if you decided not to do a video can I get your thoughts on it? I currently use the willow and spectra but I’m curious about the baby Buddha as it’s more portable than the spectra.
Welcome! I’ll likely be doing these individual pump over in Instagram IGTV. Happy to answer any questions over on the Facebook group as well :) Www.Facebook.Com/groups/breastpumpreviews
I’m looking into it for mine and I don’t have an upgrade fee for the synergy gold but for the portable synergy gold it’s about $40 upgrade fee! Definitely wildly varies on insurance
The spectra dual compact is definitely a bit bulky for a portable pump. I means it works! There’s a new video on the channel comparing portable pumps you might find helpful!
Can you review the limerick pumps please. My ibclc highly recommended them but they are expensive and kinda rare. i couldnt find a lot of info on them.
@@NewLittleLife I actually found one new (open box) from someone who got it from work but never used it. I’m still trying to figure it out. It’s so different from spectra or medela. I don’t even know if I’m doing it right.
Currently, if you’re in the states, eBay or the Philippines shopping site is where I’ve seen it. Be cautious of import tax.. hoping this is more widely available soon!
I live on the stimulation mode on spectra s1 at the highest suction level and at the highest cycle. It's a bummer that the synergy gold portable one doesn't have this option on the cycle and I have tried so many portable pumps which still don't work for me . Garghhhh
Has anyone had any luck finding the Spectra Dual Compact online? I cant find it anywhere but ebay. Not even on amazon. Anyone have any idea on why it's still not available in the USA? I'm wondering if it has to do with any safety or quality issues?
Hi! May I know what's the difference between Spectra S1+ and the Spectra Dual Compact? Is the suction strength on the dual compact as strong as the S1+? I love the s1+ but it is just too big to bring it around
Good question! Both have the batteries, so that’s great. The compact doesn’t have the cycle speed adjustment like mentioned in this video, but if you need portability AND the dual motors, that’s where the compact can be great!
@@NewLittleLife that’s what I was asking I get milk in massage mode from one breast, other breast I have to go to expression mode Is there any pump which can do this
Yes and no. Low suctions do usually result in lower output, but everyone’s “low” and “high” range are different! So higher suction usually results in more milk, but if it starts to become uncomfortable that can inhibit milk. So find the sweet spot of highest comfortable suction! (It’s likely not the max suction of the pump!)
I am on the hunt for any pump that is as smooth (or close to as smooth) as the medela symphony. Ideally with the ability to control cycle cycle but that’s secondary. The portable dual compact actually sounds like it’s much smoother than the gold, would you agree? Is there any other pump that is smooth?
In Allison's FB group there are a few ladies who've purchased and didn't have to pay extra fees. Mine comes from eBay next week also so I'm hoping no fees!

Max section on both is 270 mmHg. Both are considered hospital grade strength.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Awesome!!
Can you make comparison of Spectra 9S / 9+ with the Dual Compact please?

Whyyyy does the compact not allow cycle change!? Goshhhh now im really torn! Thought i had my decision made. LOVE my S1!
Hi I’ve got a question, can the built in battery be charged on a power bank? Thank you!
Do you need an adapter to charge the compact in the States? Would like to purchase it but want to confirm before I do. Thank you!

Is the Dual Coming the same as the SG Portable
I currently have the medela in style and have used this style for six years. How does the portable compare to the Medela?
This is an old video, but I just bough the spectra gold through insurance and the upgrade fee was only 10 dollars!
I’m looking into it for mine and I don’t have an upgrade fee for the synergy gold but for the portable synergy gold it’s about $40 upgrade fee! Definitely wildly varies on insurance
Great video! I was wondering which one to purchase. Do you know if the Dual S is compatible with medela swing maxi flex tubes, flanges, connectors?
Nothing is easily compatible with medals parts these days unfortunately..
Is the dual compact strong enough to be a primary pump?
I was curious on the same thing.
Yes I think so 👍🏼
I'm looking for something portable for work and being on the run. Any opinions on the Spectra Dual Compact vs the Medela Freestyle Flex? Thanks!

I want to ask the same question? Dose any one know ?

Hello how long is the charging time for dual compact?
Do you do giveaways🎉
Sometimes! Usually over on Instagram instagram.com/newlittlelife_byallison
It sounds like the compact doesn't "flutter" as much, unless I'm not hearing it correctly?
Do both of these have the vibratory suction that the S1 and S2 have?
Is the dual compact 'hospital grade?'
Up
Hi, where can I buy the compact pumping machine in the USA ??
EBay is the only option at the moment I think!
Can you use a car charger with the dual or is it too strong?
Hi! does both of them has a vibration just like the Spectra S1?
Where can I buy the compact?
Currently, if you’re in the states, eBay or the Philippines shopping site is where I’ve seen it. Be cautious of import tax.. hoping this is more widely available soon!
I just ordered it off eBay.
@@sondraxcore I have one in my eBay cart and I’m afraid what customs costs will be. 😬
@@jacqueline2057 Not sure what country you are in, I didn’t have to pay any customs having it shipped to the USA.
Anybody know if there has to be some kind of power adapter if you buy off eBay for US?

I’m the same, I always get the best output sticking to Cycle 70 Vacuum 5 💯
Does the spectra compact have the spectra specific vibratory suction? My breasts only respond to this type of vibration.
Anyone know where to get an English language user manual for the Dual Compact? Mine came in Korean since it was shipped from there.
Has anyone had any luck finding the Spectra Dual Compact online? I cant find it anywhere but ebay. Not even on amazon. Anyone have any idea on why it's still not available in the USA? I'm wondering if it has to do with any safety or quality issues?
no having the same problem, i was searching online. I was wondering if it would be sold in the US too.

Is the compact more like the s9+ compared to s1+?
Does synergy gold have separate button for switching to from massage to expression
In my case one breast need frequent massage mode for expression
You can’t pump on one breast massage one breast expression if that’s what you’re asking
@@NewLittleLife that’s what I was asking
I get milk in massage mode from one breast, other breast I have to go to expression mode
Is there any pump which can do this
Not that I know of unfortunately.
Are replacement parts for the dual compact interchangeable with s1 and s2
Yup! All the same parts aside from the little tubing adapter, but that shouldn’t wear out, just move to new tubing if you need.
Would a higher max suction = more output?
@@NewLittleLife so no point in buying a pump with 20-30 more mmHg suction?
CORRECT!!! Unless there something else about it that you really want :)

Is anyone familiar with how much import and duty tax would be on a pump from Korea?
Mine was about $60

Just the dual s2 is hospital grade. The compact is not
Has anyone from the US purchased the Spectra Compact from eBay? If so, did you pay extra fees when it was delivered?
