Hi Chris, for the electronic Gemini machines you need to be diligent in flipping and rotating them after each pass, and make sure that you're not using unnecessary shims- start with the lightest sandwich you can and build up the shims if needed - for the manual machines, flip the folder after each use, and you can cut into all 4 surfaces- for both plates and folders too, you can store them under something flat and heavy when not using them! We'd also like to confirm that the mouth openings are a different size on the electronic and manual machines, so you will not be able to use the go plates in our mini or midi machines- though you can use them in our Gemini II! If you have any further concerns or queries, our Customer Service team will always be happy to help, and you can reach them by emailing customerservices@crafterscompanion.co.uk or by using the live chat feature on our website - We hope this helps!
Does this machine let me do lettering like a stencil type thing as I want to do put words on my ceramic urn for my dog I can't afford all the other stuff like cricut etc
Hi Adriana- the plastic shim is for use with 2D embossing folders only- you place your cardstock within the embossing folder, the purple shim above or below the embossing folder and run the stack through the machine- additionally 3D embossing folders you just place through the machine without the shim as they are thicker- we hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing this! It was very helpful!
I love my Gemini mini. It is the one I go to first if I can.
I find the plates warp easily. What can I do to prevent that. Also can the to go plates be used in the mini.

Same here
@@JuniartiB I think you have to leave the folder open or just use the plate on its own.
@@louiselea8695 I never used it to emboss. I have a Gemini jr. I do all my embossing on that machine.
Struggling to get replacement plates online ,is this being discontinued 😢
