As a new scotch enthusiast, this has been one of the best tasting bottles I've gotten for the price, $29.

I bought a bottle last night at Meijers grocery store for $35.99 Didn't like the neck pour, pulled and Erik Wait and set out a glass all night, with a little bit of water, and now I love it. Ordered some scotch filled chocolates from Vermont Country store so I wanted to know what I was getting. Also need to try an Oban but at $90 a bottle I am holding of on that

This one is really rare in where I live. Only available at the airport duty free. My brother travels and always got me the wrong Singleton.. One day he got me this one by mistake and I LOVE it!!!
Best way to get away from blended cheap whiskeys, this is my first single malt whisky and i am not planning to change it anytime soon, cheers.
Good to see, guys, that you’re giving some airtime to the stalwarts of the scotch business. Yep, this one’s bound mainly for the blends, but why shouldn’t it also be savoured alone for what it has to offer, particularly on a warm summer’s day when you really need something light and fruity? Wandered past the distillery a few weeks ago on a walking tour of Dufftown - the factory isn’t exactly a pretty sight - but enjoyed a Gordon & Macphail Glendullan 14 yo expression at 46% while doing so and really liked that light fruitiness with a mix of citric, vanilla and sweet notes. An honest achiever. Cheers!

I just picked up a bottle. I'm a Laphroaig guy, but this isn't bad at all. Light and fruity as advertised.

"The Singleton" is an interesting brand if not that super. I believe three different distilleries make "The Singleton", and different countries get different distilleries.
There's Singleton of Glen Ord, Singleton of Dufftown and Singleton of Glendullan.
I like this but you are right not complex but since the only scotches I have drank were Glenlivet 12, Glenfiddich 12, Glenmorangie 10 and monkey shoulder. This is my favorite so far but the low proof and age probably keep it out of more complex drams. Singleton of Glendullan 18 should probably be reviewed.
Lightly distilled means less copper reflux in the still so less breakdown of heavier congeners. Creates a lighter spirit.
