Cummins Onan 5500 Valve lash Adjustment

In this video we perform a valve lash adjustment on a Cummins Onan 5500. This is a regular maintenance item that should be performed every 1100 hours of operation.

I have the 6.5 that is propane powered so no fuel filter in the way

Don’t you adjust the Allen then lock the nut when correct ?

If I understand you correctly, I always double check the clearance after the final torque. Hope that helps.
