BREAKING: Capitalist upset when capitalism hits him with big dose of capitalism.
Oh shit, I overdosed on Capitalism!!
🤣
I want to go cold tofurkey on capitalism
It's not even capitalism, just the rule of law.
@@zagreus5773 Although, the rule of law under capitalism is to ensure the function of capitalism. Like, when someone tried to renege on a deal or skirt a contractual obligation they already agreed to.
Elon Musk: I'm stupid AF, therefore I shouldn't have to pay $90 million.
Elon Musk Simp: He's playing 7D chess. He's Brilliant, an absolute genius!
This is starting to feel like a case of someone who bought into their own marketing of himself as some super genius and got bent over by some people who were actually smarter than him in their respective fields.
Dumb rich people probably look like lunch to lawyers
You'd think the one thing he is good at is investing, but no 😂
OMG LITERALLY LMFAO 😂
It started with Musk tricking conservatives into thinking he is cool and can do no wrong.
It ends with conservatives tricking Musk into thinking he is cool and can do no wrong.
Naw bra, remember Elon is the real life Tony Stark, there's no way he'll chew off his own nuts because someone told him that's how you undo male pattern baldness.
Be side Elon is so smart he's playing 10-D chess _{a game that have even been invented yet}_ when the rest of us are just rolling around in the dirt.
Its actually insane that he is suing the lawyers that beat him… like at some point this is frivolous right?
Idk. Every time these guys lose, it strengthens their claim as an outsider to their followers
Frivolous gotta be the understatement of the year ngl
Frivolous to lawyers just means free money. If anything Elon is a free money glitch for lawyers
@@nathanielwowchuk6880That's so spot on. Cognitive dissonance is a core part of being a far right capitalist. Elon wins, Elon's a genius. Elon loses, pro Elon conspiracy theory.

My current frivolous lawsuit obviously isn't frivolous because my last lawsuit was frivolous!
I love how he's like "nobody should get paid a lot of money because they don't work that hard" and "I deserve tons of money because I work the hardest" when he's literally spending half his time shitposting on Twitter and, by his own admission, half of that is on the shitter too. Dude literally wants billions for taking a dump.
Filing frivolous lawsuits should land you in prison. Because what a blatant attempt to abuse the system.

Musk is really smart about identifying the *truly* smart people he can latch himself to and profit from.
What is musk thinking there is no way that law firm has 44 billion dollars 😂😂
Hes suing for $90 million that they've already been paid for not $40 billion.
Elon sued by twitters lawyers.
Elon forced to purchase twitter for 40 billion.
Twitter pays lawyers 90 million for services rendered.
Elon becomes ceo of twitter.
Elon/twitter now sues their own lawyers for the service fees they paid. (90 million)
I believe Musk generally doesn't think.
How did you get that from the video? Its not said anywhere.
@@Zoltan1251 I think it's because he misunderstood the $44 billion and rounded it down, but that is the figure Elon had to buy Twitter for, not what he is suing Wachtell for.
Just to be clear, the lawyers he is suing; Wachtell, Lipton; are quite literally the Seal Team Six of M&A lawyers. Lipton of Wachtell, Lipton quite literally is one of the two people responsible for the existence of the mergers and acquisitions legal practice. They have been in the top 2/3 in profits per partners since they first got big in the 80s. They consistently dwarf everyone else in revenue per lawyer. They have been part of an absolutely massive number of the biggest, most sophisticated deals ever.
And that’s before how Wachtell has been able to defend its fee structures in similar positions in the past

Elon Musk really just clicking "I agree" on all the contracts and things. I love dumb rich people so much.
I used to be a Tesla and Elon Stan back in the day and as such, I feel embarrassed. All he needed to do is speak on a public forum and instantly i saw him for what he is. There's a reason he loves Trump and no it's not because he loves freedom of speech. He loves HIS freedom of speech. He sees himself in Trump and as such his selflove shines through. Every move he makes is not because he stands for something, it's an ego trip. Everything he does is to boost his ego.
Yeah - back when he wasn't so public facing and more like what I thought of as a "secret benefactor" I was all for a super rich guy trying to help the world altruistically. Man was I wrong... but what I don't understand is why everyone doesn't see it. It's the same with Trump... I really don't know what mental block there is in some people's minds that stops them from seeing the true nature of people. Even people I am friends with a respect their opinion on many things... I just don't get it.
Imagine if Legal Eagle and Coffezilla teamed up to expose terrible famous people. They'd be unstoppable.
Thunderf00t loves to shit on Elon.

Zilla is mostly kool. He's just in the exposing game. Eagle I have a problem with. He doesn't just want to expose. He wants to sue. And how does he do it? By getting his fans to donate to him and then he just gets owned in court. Eagle is a grifter. Zilla is not.
@@soyborne.bornmadeandundone1342 Yeah right. Coffeezilla is fun to watch for sure, but he is working mostly in largely unregulated space (e.g. crypto) where anybody can say anything because there is no significant public or legislative awareness. Eagle stands up to right wing grifters like Trump. Coffeezilla wants to get more spots on Joe Rogan so he can get a greater reach. Frankly if Eagle is a 'grifter' then so is Coffee. My condolences but you dodged a bullet.😢😅
If you’re poor and you fail you spend your life picking up the pieces and if you’re rich and fail you just keep getting richer regardless
I remember on Twitter at the time all the Elon Simps were convinced that Elon would renotiate the deal for 11 billion dollars or something and that he had the Twitter board by the balls.
you don't pay lawyers based on how long or "how hard" the work is, you pay them for their years of experience and knowledge they worked hard to obtain.
The board got the shareholders a huge payday over the fair cost of the stock price.
That's some good fiduciaring.
If Elon was twice as skilled and hardworking as the average Montana rancher, he should be twice as wealthy.
What? If skill and work ethic are directly correlated to wealth as your comment implies, doesn’t that already mean he’s many times more skilled and hard working than those ranchers, by your own logic?

Damn Elon's elden ring build really is dogshit, he went for a like a glass cannon int build that's also really heavy for no reason and doesn't even do that much damage, he has 2 shields and 3 weapons equip at once which all add to his weight, ontop of that half of his talismans are useless, the turtle one of whatever its called only gives you stamina, if he swapped it to a talisman that reduces his weight he'd be able to dodge roll
Fastest way for me to lose all respect for someone. Not that I respected him before but still...
Im pretty sure stamina increases carry weight, as well as stamina being useful all the time, but even a talisman reducing his weight won’t do much honestly, his build is the most atrocious build I’ve ever seen

The cureent projections estimate that Twitter Blue subscriptions will bring in around $27.8 million per year.
Those 90 millions represent 3 years worth of Elon's best idea so far to bring revenue, if you want to know why he is going so hard after that money...
Let that sink in.
but what's funny is that the $90 million is only a drop in the bucket to the 44 billion he lost, so he really looks more desperate scrounging for anything lol. I also wonder whatever happened with the disabled twitter employee who twitter allowed a lot of money to.
@@MrSupersayian4goku Let's be fair, he has only lost $29 billion, Twitter is still worth $15 billion.
@@MrSupersayian4goku That was kind of my point, 44 billions is so enormous that 90 is really a small number comparatively (0,2%) but it is still a lot more than anything he has done to gain revenue so far so he's kind of forced to go after it.
@@Naeron66 Before Musk halved ads revenue, twitter has been loosing more than a billion every year since 2020. So about 2 this year. But I didn't account for the fact that they also have to pay more than a billion in interest of the loan he took to buy it.
And now he want to invest to transform twitter in the american version of weibo. (while having less than half the staff they had before and having to face threads).
How could he sell that for 15 billions today ? No one sane would buy twitter today.
Maybe he will turn the ship aroud and everything will work out for him. but I think , best case scenario, it will at least take 2 to 3 years, by then twiitter will have lost 6 to 8 billions more of real money and half of it's market value (around 7 billions).
And again, that's the best case scenario, a more realistic one would be the death of twitter in 3 years after burning around 12 billions of cash...
And Elon rebranding Twitter to X most likely reduces the sale value as well. It won't be worth 15 billions for a disfigured brand filled with a swampy user base.
ICYMI the reason Twitter added that purchase requirement is because Musk has a history of proposing to buy companies and then backing out to affect the stock markets and stay in the spotlight.
the real crazy shit is that it was at the 18 minute mark where i'm at right when hasan said 18 minutes after 4

"War Is a Racket" is a speech and a 1935 short book by Smedley D. Butler, a retired United States Marine Corps Major General and two-time Medal of Honor recipient. Based on his career military experience, Butler discusses how business interests commercially benefit from warfare. He had been appointed commanding officer of the Gendarmerie during the 1915-1934 United States occupation of Haiti.
Here're some excerpts:
"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes...."
Butler confesses that during his decades of service in the United States Marine Corps:
"I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested..."
That's capitalism ladies and gentleman
When Hassan realized that Elon’s best argument is that Elon is an idiot, I came so hard.
i.e the lawyers charged Elon Musk so much money because of this reasoning: we’re playing with a lot of money, the more money in the air the more we charge. It could be humiliating if we lose a high profile case with a dollar amount larger than some countries entire GDP.
So Musk is kinda doing the billionaire version of trying to get a refund on his tuxedo despite having already worn it to the wedding*. He can give it a shot, but the clerk at the returns counter can still say fk off. I hope the clerk does.

34:00 I think that private enterprise and the public sector can coexist side by side even in the aerospace industry. But situations like this make it clear that rules must be in place to make sure things like this don't happen and that the costs are paid for when they do.
Twitter is now worth $15B with half owed to advertisers.
While it certainly was not in the company's best interest I can't blame the previous board for holding Musk to his commitment to buy the company at the stated price. Twitter was starting to make money but the buyout allowed all the investors to profit handsomely from their investment.

Serious Trouble on substack has a pretty good break down of this as well. Great freaking pod if you are looking of legal stuff in the sort of zeitgeist.
Ok so since no one ever gets this right. The Saturn 5 the rocket that got America to the moon was build by military contractors such as Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, aerojet rocketdyne etc. It was not built by NASA, NASA basically just regulated the build and coordinated it. Literally from day one NASA has given contracts to private companies to build things. Also would like to point out the difference between a subsidy and a contract. SpaceX gets contracts which means they have to provide a service to get the money. A subsidy is what the oil and gas companies get which is just free money
If they get the money either way and land future prospects to get subsidized on a bunch of other things, which, most of those companies definitely did. If the taxpayer ends up footing the bill, the difference between a contract and a subsidy matters... why?
@@raven_g6667 well the difference is actually getting something for the money like I already stated
