Thank you for this video, Mimi! Love finding new books and these are all right up my alley!! Those books like The Power of now are real gems, crazy how You Can randomly flip to a page and apply to your life...I've tried this with my mom and a few friends and it's astonished them all. Magic! Haha 😊 Thank you.

It is so refreshing to see someone as positive and kind as you. Lately, i have been surrounded by really negative people who put others down and constantly criticize everyone/everything and its really been getting to me. I almost lost faith that nice people exist. But its really great seeing someone that smiles and doesn't have all this crazy sassy attitude. Please always stay this sweet! Its one of your greatest traits :) Helpful video btw. Thank you!

The books, poems, and short stories that change me the most, are those I've read in my lit classes (I'm a lit major). One of my all time favorite authors in Nathaniel Hawthorne. His writing, allusions, irony, etc. is just amazing. I've also recently gotten into Ray Bradbury. Literature has a lot of amazing stories that people just write off as "old", and don't take the time to appreciate it!

I loved your recommendations and am going to try to read them all. The book series I have to recommend is Harry Potter. People who Aren't familiar (the movies don't count!) brush it off as a silly children's book, but honestly it has taught me so much about life, the people we meet, and the decisions we make. No other book has had such a lasting impact. I promise if you give it a try you will love it!

The Starting Point of Happiness - Ryuho Okawa. I would say some of the concepts in the book were over my head, because it is a buddhist perspective. Some I agree with and some I am not sure. However, I received this from a friend when I was going through a rough time myself. I keep going back to it when I'm at some real lows. It opened my eyes with regards to feeling happy and appreciative for the things I do have. It is a short book, and it is a nice to read a chapter a night or something like that, or even a chapter a week to let things settle in your mind.

+everything luxy I am on a Mimi marathon tonight and I gotta say this...as much as I love all of them GOSH have you ever improved over time! It's amazing to see the "evolution" of your channel...but speaking about books, those you mentioned are all of my favourite except for the Meditation book as I've never read it.Mimi,I remember in one of the vlogs you mentioned books you loved as a child like the Dr Dolittle (loved it as well) so I am curious if you've ever read Children of the Noisy Village by Astrid Lindgren? This is the English title,I've read it in Polish which sounded a bit different but anyways together with Hans Christian Andersen tales , one of my best memories of growing up!

I've also read "Twenties Girl". Thank you for your recommendations, they all sound transformational.
