I love how Falcom's response to criticism about main characters not dying, is to have them all be absolutely slaughtered 20 something times. Lol

@@jackjohnson8305 Actually this game caused more complaints than ever, because all the deaths get reset the game actually has no stakes at all. You know any time something bad happens to anyone you're just gonna go back to the timeline screen to fix it.

Falcom is trolling at this point. With the deadends. It makes you wonder in the future. Who favorite character will die, if they decide to do permanent deaths in the future.

Rean would most definitely break, because Towa was his colleague, and a close friend of his. And the flashback of the Vermillion Apocalypse stabbing Crow would most definitely play in his mind.

Well just show how dangerous a poison specialist is, they were basically dead the moment they came to him.
Imagine in the towa dead end post credit scene you hear a rean and crow speak with calm but hidden fury just saying to each other crow: "you heard what happened rean?"
Rean: "yes i did to calvard then?"
Crow: "we'll tear the one who did that to her apart agreed"

man when they release Hajimari i thought its kinda funny they introduce a pararel dimension to make sense of what happen in cold steel 4 true end, but damn to think they will use it like this too like Zero Escape game

This is the most disturbing content in the series since Trails the 3rd! After Cold Steel 4 & Reverie chose not to show any graphic violence despite their plots, I'm both glad and confused Falcom went hard in the opposite direction!

So I’m assuming these are not “cannon” deaths like these are possible deaths that can happen in the game based on your choices much like a telltale game?
Basically these death happpened and then the Genesis bring them back in time.
No, they are canon deaths. Why it is so would be explained by Kuro 2's bonus ending.

@@phantomslay5612 Only the ones that are related to losing specific battles. A lot of criticism towards Kuro 2 is specifically about dead ends that can't be avoided, especially when it forces the characters to be dumb for the sake of a total wipeout.
@@SpecialSupportSection Well what does it really matter anyway? Those ends aren't technically canon. Also, I found out there are several dead ends that you can avoid simply by not immediately going to the destination and finding other characters to talk to, or just simply choosing a different option.
So this one has different endings. Cold steel iv had it kind, but you got the real ending right after.
Dont worry all of this are not cannon 😂 so towa still alive well if that happens all og class 7 will attack calvard and burn it to the ground and we will see valimar or dark valimar
Summary of Dead Ends and How The Party Avoids Them (BIG SPOILERS BELOW!!!):
1. Elaine and Van fail to stop Grendel-Zolga and get killed as a result
How to avoid: They let Agnes and others know in advance; they face Grendel-Zolga together and fight it to stand-still
2 and 3. Elaine, Swin, Nadia, and Zin get overwhelmed by the regenerating demi-grendels. Zin makes a fatal mistake of underestimating their healing factor and only stuns them
How to avoid: They bring Walter, who has no problem beating the daylights out of these mooks and outspacing the healing factor.
4. The terrorists' bomb explodes and Agnes's friends get caught in the explosion
How to avoid: The party prevents Agnes' friends from coming to the place where the bomb is planted and catches Ronar (remember that a**hole whom Renne took care of twice in Hajimari and Kuro 1?) as he is about to press the switch
5. The terrorists sneak into Aramis and kill Towa and other students
How to avoid: The party goes back to a day before, tails the terrorists as they sneak into Aramis, and stop them before they bring any harm to students
6. Rosaly kills everyone as her soldiers recklessly step on the wire that releases Ellroy's deadly toxin across the whole island
How to avoid: The party approaches Ellroy via another route while avoiding the trigger wire and makes a deal with him
7. The party falls into a trap by Heiyue and Zecht-Arms
How to avoid: The party meets Zin and Elaine who managed to spot all the spots where Ellroy set up his poison. With their advice, the party evades the trap and prevails against Heiyue's forces
8. The party loses to Kasim and Marduk's security forces
How to avoid: The party receives a key to the observatory where Ixs and Jolda hide from Naje and Sherid. The party "persuades" (read: threatens) the duo to aid them against Marduk's soldiers.
9. The party is exposed to the deadly toxin in the DG cult's laboratory. Renne merely puts them out of their misery.
How to avoid: The party receives the divine protection from the church people (Celis, Leon, and Ashlad), which shields them from the toxin
10. Quatre is possessed by an angel (the being from the Outside) and nukes the whole island
How to avoid: The party first weakens the angel by destroying the area in the island which has a special spiritual connection to the outside and then brings Quatre back to his sense with some good old physical therapy (read: boss battle)
11 and 12. Yorda or IX blows up the whole island with the holy demonic sword (this happens if you beat one of the duo and the remaining one gets a turn in the boss battle; to avoid this dead end, you have to either defeat them at the same time or beat the remaining one before he/she gets a turn)
How to avoid: See above.
13. Ashen Lou and Kurogane's memories get overwritten by the Oct-Genesis; the former thinks Aaron and Van murdered Chao and the latter thinks his order is to murder Aaron and Van. Ikaruga's ninjas murder the two.
How to avoid: With Shizuna's help, the party defeats Ikaruga's ninjas before any harm comes to Van and Aaron. They also bring Chao in order to get Ashen back to her sense.
14. Maxim and Asuran get killed by the bomb planted by the anti-immigrants faction
How to avoid: They manage to catch Jacobin (remember this a**hat from Kuro 1?) before he plants the bomb, only to see another bomb's going off.
15. Maxim plants a bomb to commit murder-suicide after he is brainwashed by the Oct-Genesis into believing Asuran is domestically abusing Paulette and Yume.
How to avoid: The party prevents the bomb from going off and chases Maxim who still tries to murder Asuran. With Mare and Yume's help, they manage to bring him back to his sense.
16, 19~21. The party gets killed by various factions as they are brainwashed into believing the Arkride Solutions Office is collaborating with Almata.
17 and 18. Celis murders Van after she is brainwashed by the Oct-Genesis into believing Van is responsible for Bergard's death
How to avoid: The party gets Leon's help in bringing Celis back to her sense.
22. The military coup occurs in Calvard due to many people's getting brainwashed by the Oct-Genesis into thinking Roy murdered the previous president and is trying to mass-produce the same WMDs that destroyed Creil Village. During the coup, the airship gets destroyed and crashes into the place where the party is.
How to avoid: The party receives help from others.
23. The party stops the coup but not before Garden Master manages to harness the full power of the Oct Genesis to rewrite the reality
How to avoid: Going back to the beginning of Chapter 3, the party finds the place where they can reach Garden Master and Grendel-Zolga (the statue of Sheena Dirke at the Dirke Memorial Park) and defeats them.
