Nice work, what is the varnish you are using? Go Stamps!🐐😉
Nice work! I have a tip for the hanger installation - Hold the nail with long nose pliers for the first hammer strike.
Thanks Tony! Great tip...that would be much easier!
Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Javier Ariel Instablaster =)
@Joe Walter thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Joe Walter it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
Sweet! Is it very obvious visually when the first coating has dried out? or do you recommend 1h+ just to be safe?
In general I would recommend leaving it about an hour between coats, sometimes less if there is a breeze when finishing outside. Visually it is a bit tough to tell. One way to test if it is dry is to touch an area that is on the side or bottom and if it feels sticky then it needs more time to dry. Thanks for watching!!
Nice video Kyle, couple of questions. What type of varnish are you using, water-base polyurethane? and is that cottonwood bark you used for the two wood sprits?
Thanks @DGLS 2, I used a water based semi-gloss varathane in the video. Over the years I have found pretty much any semi-gloss varnish to work quite well. I am personally not a fan of finishes that get to shiny. Yes, the wood spirits were both in cottonwood bark. Cheers
@@countrycarving9744 what is the brand exactly
Use water based polycryli on your bark carvings and your carvings will not be so dark which makes it easer to see the details
Thanks Jack! I will give that a try. I agree you can definitely get a different look depending on what you use. I knew a few people quite a few years ago that liked a really high gloss finish...I think they even used some sort of boat finish but I was not a big fan of this look.
