Yes, Nova changes it all. but that goes for every phone. Every phone can look better than stock android with the nova launcher. The phone was the best you could get aside the expensive flagships. The IPS isnt on par with OLED, but was the best IPS Ive seen on phones up 300$.
I use the 48MP camera mode for zooming into very small text, e.g. fine print on medicine bottles, and other tiny labels. Works great for those. Been using this phone for a year and it is very stable and fluid on MIUI 11.0.6

I've been flashing roms since the original MIUI. Miui v5 may have been the best but this MIUI V10 been great IMO. I have the redmi note 7(128gb/4gb ram). I've had it for a few months and it's amazing. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and removed the ads. It never lags, and I get a few days per charge. Awesome phone, built in call recording, and many other bells and whistles.
I was looking to buy my son a smart phone that was decent yet not requiring to take out a mortgage just to afford one, and I didn't want my son walking round with a £700+ phone either. So I was a little excited when I found a like new condition Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 on eBay from a trusted seller with 1 small problem, the sim card was stuck & wouldn't eject. Now, I've carried out repairs on these types of problems & wasn't that dissuade. I've seen used starting from £70 & they were rather scruffy to say the least. All the way to New or Opened never used as high as £150. So when this phone was listed for just £30 I was a little bit excited, but cautious to why it's that cheap. Surely a stuck sim tray shouldn't merit such a price drop on a phone that looks like it was in pristine condition apart from this fault. So, when the phone arrived, you could clearly see on the sim tray eject hole they've tried to use something that was a little too big, but when I used a proper pin, the tray ejected normally, it just required a little bit more pressure than other phones that have the sim tray ejection in this format. So, for a phone that cost only £30 & it didn't even cost me the full £30, as I had £12.50 nectar points voucher so it really just cost me £17.50. I didn't need the phone because I have the Galaxy S10e, but I wanted something to use as a second device to use for taking those photo's & making those video's without risk dropping my main phone & breaking it. I can't find a camera with better features for anything less than £160, so I am more than impressed. It really amazes me as you can spend a lot of money on a digital camera, but you get almost just as good quality specs embedded into phone's for a lot less. Also, Not saying it suck's harder than your mom on a Saturday night... oh that had me in stitches...
It's been my only phone for 2 years now. The 48 MP camera is fun when you need to zoom in to really small text. I also sideloaded Google Camera for the "night sight" mode which is awesome, and 4K video (not supported by the native camera app). Still very fast on MIUI 12 / Android 10. I hope your son enjoys it as much as I do.
After almost 3 years of this phone, camera is good, but performance started lacking, lagging, maybe the reason bc i smashed when got mad while playing, the front screen eazily scratches, back screen ez break, also, theres a chance that power button fells out, but its still runs pretty smoothly, not reccomended for heavy phone users or i mean like, those guys who go to dirty places, and dust full places
I still use this phone and love it. Unfortunately I bought the 64gb ad now its always full and for some strange reason i wish the phone was capable on the Xiaomi pc suite. Yes I still love pc suites.....

@@calvin9530 I used it for 48 Hrs then gave it to my niece for her birthday, excellent phone. Aliexpress are now selling that version of the phone for £131.00 and the pro version for £160.
I don't f(king care which stupid unnecessary smartphone you're reviewing (unless you're reviewing something good like those old beautiful lumia models, or something else than the stupid copy paste designs) But man your wallpaper choices are top notch. I hope you would use more Miyazaki stuff in the future.
