A MORE RELIABLE COUNTERPART TO THE THE ORIGINAL HAMMER M117 6.0. WATCH AS I PICK UP THE SL FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND GET INFO ON IT FROM HIM AS WELL AS CRUISE IT BACK TO YTG IN ITS BROKEN SOMEWHAT BROKEN STATUS. ILL TACKLE A FEW REPAIRS IN THIS VIDEO AS WELL.

I see the c36 around its gotten an engine out refresh I might eventually try and get it back . It was sold locally

So cool! I’m glad you got one of these. Lots of the standard R129 issues, it looks like. Looking forward to following what you do with it next. I’m surprised there’s no cutout for the third brake light. Is it just covered up, or is it not there at all?

@@youngtimersgarage How interesting. It definitely looks cleaner. I’m just surprised they could get away with not having one. Has the car been lowered, or is that actually the stock AMG height? Curious to hear how much faster you find it than your others.

@@caddyzig the car is lower I believe it has the amg springs and struts I will have to clean them up to check but it def has the amg springs. It has much more torque and is much faster than my other m119 cars.

you lucky bastard!! what an outstanding car. you might have seen a video a couple years ago, a dude's friends dad had a r129 and didnt realize the difference modelsand sold the dude a metallic red sl60 with full everything.a real sl 60 for the price of a used sl320. its was mind blowing. now a question. this car is what turned into the sl60 the years they started using the sl60 nomanclature correct? they are both m119's with 6 liters of displacement but are they mostly the same cars? you are my hero for being a premerger rescuer .i love these f-ing cars!

Thank you ! That is crazy about the sl sale haha. In the later years when AMG merged with Mercedes and the launched the sl60 I believe the displacement may have changed slightly. The bodystyles were the facelift models for the most part.
