When did they ruin faceoffs in this game ? I haven’t owned this game in a few years . And now I can’t win a single face off . It’s ruining the fun .
I second the hell outa this I just played hit champs not only do I always match up against the absolute best deck in the world but the faceoffs is a big part of the loss just 20 faceoffs lost is a big factor

I never had a problem taking face offs in NHL 22 0r 23. Now with NHL 24, I can't win any... (Except by accident) Can you please show the controls (In my case X-Box) so we can see the exact buttons used to take face-offs. I understand the concept of what you are talking about, but would like to see a tutorial showing the buttons and how they are used. Thanks!
Same here. Started out as rookie and started to get the hang of the game. Got it on Rookie where I won every faceoff.
Recently switched to semi-pro and now even though the game says my timing was perfect I can't win a single faceoff. Played San Jose and they were 20-0 on faceoffs.

like every other slider this year, they completely jacked up the computer's abilities on faceoffs this year. using J Toews in my expansion franchise (with a 92 faceoff rating!) i was in the 30-40% range! he should be dominating!
Maybe doing a video with using the sticks showing how to do the face offs

You actually break it down better then anyone else I mastered it with a mix of you and sleeves chart that I literally spent roughly 3 hrs always using back hand and then always forehand snd me erizo h counter for back then forehand and now I stick with backhand righty or lefty because most ppl think it matters righty or left facing off regardless the counters the same it’s about knowing if your op gonna lift or straight back and or backhand stick lift
Question is this for ps5, plz tell me how to win a face-off, using the hybrid setting.
I use hybrid too and I don't even know what button I'm supposed to push for faceoffs. I couldn't find anything explaining it
@@cchron1063 I finally got it down some but it’s timing & also who is doing the face-off. Certainly players have a better face-off ability than others.
Faceoffs are pretty much rock paper scissors
Not to me, I would win a lot in NHL 23 and now after 15 games on NHL 24, I didn't even win one (difficulty 5/5). So it gotta be more than rock paper scissors 😂
Yeah. I’ve lost far more than 50% of toss ups. I’ve also lost far too many times when I’ve countered the opponent.

Awesome video, will be sooooo helpful. Would you mind explaining how to do a backhand tie up and forehand tie up? Can you confirm for stick liflig you push the right joystick up left or up right ? Thanks 👍
BH and FH tie-up: Take your position (FH or BH) with the right stick left or right. Let loose your left stick then when the puck drop, push up on the left stick.
For the stick lift: Take your position (FH or BH) with the right stick left or right. Use and hold your left stick down toward the teammates you want to aim at. When the puck drop, push up on the right stick.
Some arrows pointing to things our attention should be drawn to and some joystick icons with some arrows would be really helpful as well.

Im convinced that the people that make these tutorial videos don’t even know how to do it.
What control scheme is he using because what hes saying isnt relavent to my controls i dont think.
The only one I never seem to be able to pull is the backhand tie-up agaisnt the backhand straight back. I even thought for so long that it wasnt possible to do it until some guys did it against me. I just can't for the sake of me do it...but I can do any of the other tie-up just ''fine''. Am I missing something about the backhand tie-up vs backhand straight back? Is the timing any different?
My only way to beat it so far is the forehand straight back and forehand tie-up but they are kinda predictable so you have to trick them by doing a forehand sticklift.
