As far as 2 stroke riders, Jeremy McGrath was my idol as a 90's kid. Wish I could see him in his prime vs. Carson race today on 500cc bikes. That would be a PPV worthy event, IMO 🤘
I have never seen someone get the Red Bull helmet (and the associated support that comes with it) and then proceed to step up like Carson has. This series is on another level.
Carson Brown is the worlds current everyman MX Hero. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. I dont need a Goat, I need someone humble who loves dirtbikes with all their heart and thats Carson
Carson has more FUN on a dirtbike than most all riders and it just shows in his style! And RV isn’t at all stuck up on himself about who he is or more importantly “Who he was!” And now we gotta get Brad Lackey off the couch and get him on Carson’s RM500!!! Now there’s some content! Lol
Anybody that doesnt ride should pay attention to how important Fitness is when riding. Riding is much more physically demanding then most people realize.
Nobody will understand until they get on a bike. Everyone I've gotten into it is stunned at how much just normal riding takes it out of you, let alone high level riding on track.
I'm the only one of my riding buddies that maintained my fitness levels into my late 30s. I usually take a fully-dressed KTM690 with panniers, luggage, and all out on 18psi and still outride my friends on their enduro 250 and 300 2-strokes. I also go the other way with a yz125x. Haven't ridden moto in years, but I can run a 20min 5k so I wouldn't be worried about it. Skill and fitness but both matter.
A guy out of Australia recently did a study of professional athletes and his study determined pro motocross and supercross is the #1 most physically demanding sport in the world. Highest heart rates over the longest period of time over every single other sport. Some heart rates measured up to 210 bpm. So its literally the hardest sport in the world
DB is a legend, Such a great personality, hope the sport gets more use out of him in the future. Such a commanding presentation! Thank you RV and Carson!
RC or JS7 aren’t doing anything like this anymore I promise you that.. an not that they can’t obviously but they don’t want too they have both said that they’re not doing any racing of any kind on a dirt bike anymore.
94 was quite a bit faster than the 93. A competitor of mine raced a 93 and besides a full pro circuit motor, he had to retro fit a motoplat ignition. To fully wake it up.
@@OGLizardKing we all should just push the 95 yz250 out of our minds tho. First ever bike i bought new. Took that bike apart and sold it for parts because no should have to ride that thing. It had such inconsistent head shake. Wanted to kill you the whole time and not in the fun cr500 way. Just straight up a first class ticket to having to sit up in bed because you broke all your ribs. Should have waited a year and got one of the best generations of yz's ever.
I had this bike! I bought it from a local NESC expert named Todd Richotte back in the day. Fun fact - In 1986, Todd beat another local amateur named Doug Henry for the 1986 NESC 125cc amateur championship. Todd still rips to this day, and the bike I was able to procure from him was built to the hilt. Although the motor was tweaked to the max, it still wasn't as fast as a bone stock 1993 Honda CR 125. I remember this bike as being ultra stable as the frame was reinforced at every weld. I've never ridden another bike that instilled so much confidence going through the rough stuff. I could ball through the nastiest natural terrain that was roughed up by thousands of laps of every bike known to man, and that bike would stay straight as an arrow. I'm sure it had something to do with the suspension being professionally tuned along with that reinforced frame. I really miss that bike.
These are so great, I feel like I'm back in early 00s watching the extreme sports channel. Blair makes this thing 10 times better, great work Carson and everyone involved. 👍
This is awesome! I cant wait to see the WR500 in action with CB vs RV! The old air cooled bikes can be more reliable if set up correctly. I own some cool yamahas myself. 82 yz490j 80 yz250 and 81 it175.
I loved the video, RV and Carson both are ELITE level two stroke guys… They were wringing that YZ out….More of these comparison videos will surely be a hit…
I had a 1993 YZ 125 back in the early 2000s and it was, hands down, the best handling bike I've ridden before or since. It was pretty quick, too if you kept it on the pipe. Excellent motorcycle.
This is the Greatest thing in MX today. . . . Now we just need to improve on what the ama is doin . The AMA has futures class in SX. . What the Nationals need is a 125 class, Combined 250 2t&4t class, & Open (unrestricted).
I had an ex Shayne King '93 YZ125 with a super trick YZM cylinder and a bunch of other hot parts and it was still slow. Switched to a '95 CR that was way way quicker
Secretively is a real world in space. Did y'all say RV tackled ...........TACKLED Alden? Would love to hear more about that!! Thx Carson awesome idea!!
Please get Pastrana to do one of these. On a '97 rm125. The one with wrong side up forks and the ugliest front plate known to man. My buddy james had one back in the day and it was probably one of the fastest 125s ive ever ridden.
That is the sound of Moto!! bring back the 2 stroke... Don't get me wrong, I love my 4 stroke, easy as he!! to ride, nothing compares to the joy of riding and listening and smelling a 2 stroke.
Even after that they're slower than a stock 93 cr125. My friend that raced a 93 yz (against me) did all that plus had to go to a motoplat ignition. The ignition was what really woke it up. According to him. It was fast.
@@OGLizardKingwell you've got to sent the bike to a decent tuner that ports and tunes for the parts on the rolling Road or its a guessing game, at least when done properly they are quick for the era, I've always been a honda guy and still own them and have also owned 2 93 cr125 great bikes but the handling of the 93-95 yz was briliant regardless and having it properly tuned which I assume your mate didn't makes a big difference 👍
Back in the day RV showed up to my home track Tulare Mx/ DT1(now) there was a big 4th gear step up that floated down and then had a little lip about 125 ft away just to slow you down into the turn and He catapulted the dam jump and landed on the face of the 6ft lip and soaked it up like nothing.... normal man would have been dead with stock suspension but that Kawi was amazing..... we never saw it as a step over till him snd and no one tried it ever again lol
no one rides a two-stroke quite like Carson 🔥
🤙 Great rep!
Carson qualsiasi moto prende la porta sempre oltre il limite ❤❤
REDBULL IM YOUR 3RD REPLY

These are literally the best videos ever
Golden!🚀
I agree. This has my eyes glued the entire time 🤘2💭
Definitely agree!

fr some of the best videos i’ve watched in a while

Can't wait for the WR500 rematch!!!
The best moto program ever!! Keep on digging them Carson!!!

By far one of the best moto series on UA-cam
My first 'motocross' bike was a 1993 yz80, in year 2001. Love this era.
Really loving this series of racing the legends in the sport. RV still has that dog in him 🤙
Be sick if you could get RC and Bubba on here on a 125 or 250. All 3 go against eachother, maybe even throw reed in there also
That would be epic!
@@marvinfrenchy8754 While he surely can still rip, I believe Stew rarely touches a dietbike these days.
@scottpeters8640 I think you're right. Still it would be cool. How about Dungey verses Villopoto? Or Stanten vs Bradshaw?

Thanks and keep em coming Carson! Great content. Hope you’re racing the 2-Stroke World Championship in a few weeks. 🤙
I had a ‘94 fully restored it years ago it was pretty slow but so light and so much fun I had more interest at the local than my modern bikes

RV needed a beer between motos to help catch his breath 😂… Rv is a straight legend!
"Get your ass in gear! Lets go!" 😂 Brings back memories of my Dad "encouraging" us at the races lol
Best dirtbike videos going. I'd love to see all the greats come race Carson on old 2 strokes. Love to see RC on a CR250
Be looking forward to the next one 👌
Awesome race !!! Left us hangin for the 5hunny race though… you dogs!!!! Can’t wait for that race for sure! Keepem coming!
Carson is such a humble man. RV2 is my person favorite. ERA, is awesome , Daniel Blair is a good dude.
Keep em comin
RV would have been my very favorite had he been half as candid as he is now. I enjoy him more now than when he was champ
Man that YZ 125 is 2 Rad ! Carson and Ryan. Both did a great job down Pure Moto on a very low HP Moto !! C ya man !
Let’s see you do one of these with McGrath.
Mcs alittle to old ide say

BIG fan of these video's, especially getting guys like RV and Kenny involved. Good for the soul!
