Our new building is done! And we have moved in. But this was a long journey that started even before we owned the building.
Let me explain…
When I started All About Hennessey in 2017 it was just me. Over the years the little Facebook page has grown to a regional news and information company under the umbrella called The All About Network. With this growth, we now have 11 full and part-time employees. Making our little office a little crowded.
About a year ago I started looking around for a building. I wanted it to be in Hennessey and I wanted it to be a free-standing building with parking. One day just for fun I texted Sheila Duel asking if she would be interested in selling The Hive building on Oklahoma St. She responded with no, but I may sell the Honey & Co building.
We struck a deal and closed on February 14th, 2024.
This building is about 100 years old and has seen a lot of stuff. It was a home, a rental property, and a business.
After assessing the building we came up with the BIG LIST.
It needed a roof, heat & air, a lot of structural work, electrical, plumbing, and more, a lot more…
Over the next few days, I will take you along on this long journey as we turn this old house into a modern office building.
