I will never forget my first Nomeansno show I've ever attended. Complete musical orgasm! That was something incredible above my any expectations. The power they gave me at that moment of the show was so overwhelming that I shared it throughout my friends.
Standard issue banging-the-leftist-drum Punk Rock is pretty boring though, I always felt NMN transcended that, they operated at a deeper existential level, while still managing to be very funny at times!
I went to a NoMeansNo concert in Poland once. 1990 or 1991, at Dziekanka, Warsaw. One of the musicians told a joke (in English) and only three people laughed.
Wrong, by these fine gentlemen, is my favourite Canadian album. A blistering, ferocious live act responsible for some of the finest nights I ever had back when I was young.
It was my favourite Canadian-made record for a really long time, too. First heard NMN when I was 12 or 13 and they instantly found their way into my Discman rotation. Wrong, in particular, stood out as a perfect blend of skilled instrumentation, punk intensity, and off-kilter songwriting. Nowadays I think the first Subhumans LP and the Creatures for Awhile album by Personality Crisis give it a run for its money - but it'd be near impossible for me to pick the best one from those three. They're just all so brilliant.
Still loving this band, never stopped loving this band, missing them so much. Please come back to Europe someday, or anywhere elseLet me know where and when, I`ll be there
You’ve gotta be kidding me, had no idea this happened or this footage existed. These guys are SOOOOOOOO f-ing good! Catchy tunes, great lyrics, hilarious, poignant, heartfelt. NMN, unplugged, still melting faces!
Fantastic, never seen Rob look so smart! In fact, the last time I saw them was at The Lexington in London. I was drinking outside by the side door and I could see some tramp coming my way. Said tramp stopped by the side door and, you guessed it, went in! His face close up confirmed what suspected. Awesome show as always, no one betters this band live.
they probably only have like 5% of their hearing left and the energy to play 3 hour shows 4 times a week is a bit much with all the high energy and fast pace music at that age. Seen them twice. They were unreal. Deserves Hall of fame status.
There were too many idiots clamouring for them to play Wrong in its entirely live, as is the stoopid current retro trend. I would've gotten pissed off too.
Harder than granite! Totally wild live! Ear bleeding loud in small University clubs in the 80s! Saw them in Waterloo a couple times. A place aptly called the Bombshelter! Getting blasted with NMN at the Bomber. Good times.
As I'm from Vancouver Island, I'm witnessed NMN several times. Beban Hall, Nanaimo. Upper Natives Sons Hall, Courtenay. And Waverly Hotel, Cumberland many times, including w/ my son in a snowy December. For the Ramones covers. Epic.
Merci Nomeansno, pour toutes ces vos musique,s vos paroles et votre étéa d'esprit... vous placez la barre bien haute !! Merci encore etttttttt j'espère vous revoir encore, dans un concert endiablé !
Dad is so hard to listen to. I can't not feel that shit. I was never on the receiving end of anything remotely close, but I know people who were. 30 years after that song came out, and they can still make me cry. I can't believe I'd never seen this performance before.
Sometimes the best bands that ever existed, don't get their fair share. I'm glad they got this honour. Even though they are clearly performing in front of a bunch of fucks whom don't know what they're watching.
I’m surprised they did Dad in this. It was more of a Kerr song, and damn it gets more terrifying the older it gets. Nothing is quite like hearing Kerr sing it though. The way he growled out the lyrics to his sister is, hard.
These are the ONLY canadians I like. Other then Captain Kirk. Saw NONMEANSNO TWICE in concert. Got to hand out with em and talk to them quite a bit. SUPER NICE GUYS WHO ROCK!
naw, wish Rob had played a stand up bass or acoustic bass and is bros the drums still. didnt feel like good old nomeansno unplugged the way i imagined.
i keep reading here " Punkrock band " ...hello ? finest " Hardcore Punk " with a unique rhytm section ... NMN into a genre for bands like " GreenDay " or " The Ramones " or similar bands that claim to make " Punk Rock " is an Insult .....

Ja man du hast recht…. Greetings from Germany❤
It's criminal the lack of respect Nomeansno get.
One of the great live rock and roll bands of the modern age. The old bastards. I hope they tour again soon.

NMN ages like quality wine. It grows more precious over time.
I will never forget my first Nomeansno show I've ever attended. Complete musical orgasm! That was something incredible above my any expectations. The power they gave me at that moment of the show was so overwhelming that I shared it throughout my friends.
Undoubtedly one of the best punk rock bands of all time! Salute!
I can't believe you guys don't get back together in light of the current darkly comical political atmosphere. We need you now Rob.
The need grows and grows. Nobody makes them like NMN.
Standard issue banging-the-leftist-drum Punk Rock is pretty boring though, I always felt NMN transcended that, they operated at a deeper existential level, while still managing to be very funny at times!
One of the best bands in the whole rotten world. I love you so much especially for this euphoric rage you bring me amongst a variety of feelings.
Damn man. Even as old as they are, this performance still lights a fire in me. These guys are inspiring to me.
THEY are not old, itz the wine thing!
In any way, shape or form, this band is awesome. Tons of love, thank you so very much for countless wonderful times!!!
I love the rearrangement with the piano in Two Lips Two Lungs and One Tongue so much.
I swear i was about to comment about that till i saw this comment lol. Great taste in music!
I went to a NoMeansNo concert in Poland once. 1990 or 1991, at Dziekanka, Warsaw. One of the musicians told a joke (in English) and only three people laughed.
one of the best most creative bands ever. I love these guys.
Always a good idea. Any day. Any time. Any place.
Well, I am ultra fan since I was 15. The best rock band ever, thanks you NMN for you and youre music.
Joyful reunion.

I saw John on kb and thought "bummer". After listening ... I was stupid. Gold.
This band should'nt have stopped

You haven't met enough Canadians, my friend.
I'm back.
You've not let me know.
I await.
Tom Holliston is my neighbour
Should get an album produced by Andy Workaholic.
Wow, Rob cleans up pretty nice. Every time I've seen these guys, he looks like someone just dragged his ass out of bed.
touring with them, I can tell you that's exactly what happened before every show
Mr. Wrong vs. Mr. Right -- what an epic battle!
MNM#1
naw, wish Rob had played a stand up bass or acoustic bass and is bros the drums still. didnt feel like good old nomeansno unplugged the way i imagined.
could this be the last live performance ever of NMN?
Yes, it was. :/ Or no, wait...I think they performed once more either in the very end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016, if I am correct.
Did they play only acoustically ? I see a drum behind, is there any other parts of the show somewhere?,.. Thanks !
Nope, that was it, all acoustic and it is fantastic!
:)
ahhh no way
i keep reading here " Punkrock band " ...hello ? finest " Hardcore Punk " with a unique rhytm section ...

Hip Priest.
be strong, be wrong.
i never want to see another video of these songs acoustic versions ever again. what an awful idea
it's actually bad. But I don't think it should be taken seriously, I guess NMN themselves did not.
motörhead für sehr fortgeschrittene
This is odd
