It’s probably more than that; your head size will also decide whether you look taller - smaller head means you will look taller than someone with a bigger head at the same height.

Crop tops make me look thinner and give me more definition in my waist. I am definitely not built like a model though so it makes sense I can’t use model fashion tips 😂
Looking thinner is different from looking taller. The models are already thin so they don't really need the illusion of a smaller waist/ hourglass figure. It's all about lengthening the body. It's different when you have excess weight.

I got into body typing/fashion systems awhile ago (Kibbe, Kitchener, Ellie-Jean Royden, etc.) and if I’ve learned anything, it’s that there’s no “one size fits all” rule for fashion - everyone has completely unique features and should consider finding clothes that highlight their body shape, size, and essence, as well as their personality and personal style. Our clothes are meant to fit us, not the other way around - it’s fun to see which “fashion secrets” these influencers have and to take what I can whilst tossing the rest that doesn’t work for me.
We all come in wonderfully unique shapes and sizes my dear . I’m 5 foot , hourglass figure with short legs 😂. Trying to buy clothes of the shelf is a nightmare. Embrace you and dress to make you feel good ❤
As someone who studied fashion at the university I recommend you to wear whatever you want. Be who you want to be and express yourself and be unique without any worries. Life is too short to waste your time on looking 2 cm taller or shorter.

Actually I'm a 5 foot 3 modle for the commercial print division, typically we try and mix up the color blend? Dark to light. But it must be different for what ever division you work in or where you work or heck if you a even a modle witch you could totally do it you've got all the makes for a great one :)

If you are short and do a full monochrome thing, it will look a bit stuffy or limited on you. So always dress according to your own lines. Try out the Kibbe body type. It'll give you a good look into what will work for your lenght and bone structure.
Hey so this is true for you because of your body type but its not for a lot of people. Have a look at the kibbe body types and you’ll see that different things are flattering on different bodies. Broken lines (aka crop tops, short skirts, wearing a totally different top to the bottoms) are actually way more flattering on me than wearing anything that doesn’t have a break (eg. Bodysuit)
She so right. But here’s a tip from a much shorter model than her. I may only weigh 112lbs but I have a very hour glass figure. I say depending on your look goals what she said will actually typically make you look taller, but if you have a body type like mine you will look stubby in these looks. You may need to choose between looking slimmer or looking taller. My go to style is croptop [typically ones that stop right below my chest or a little above my waist so you can see the waist line with low rise jeans that are right at my hips to show my Vline. Now if your a lover of high waisted it’s imperative you have croptops that are right below the chest. If your croptop stops at the waist and your pants are high waisted as well, you will look very short and stubby. Not sure if this helped but thought I’d add my 2 cents. Ps: whatever makes you comfortable is good and you can wear whatever you’d like 👍.

Models use most of these tips to accommodate for their long limbs so it will elevate them as if you cut the vertical of someone tall this often overwhelms their figure (Think of it this way length matches length). You are built like a model so this really works for you (you rock it girl!) but I can see these tips actually very overwhelming on some petites if not most. I don’t mean this in any mean way it’s just I don’t want someone trying this and being confused why it doesn’t work for them personally.

People always think I'm much taller than I am. My mom taught me this trick when I was little. Silhouettes also make a difference.

To look short: big dark hoodie with scrunched up knee length white socks or big light hoodie with scrunched up knee length black socks
