We were in cebu at dinner with 12 others and were all talking but 5 girls were constantly on there phones during dinner, my hubby stood up said is everyone enjoying themselves all said yes, he said it's rude if your on your phone while we're talking with you, please let's have fun put your phones down

Watching this video reminded me of another youtuber who compared Filipinas to Thai women. He mentioned Filipinas are beautiful but have a tendency to always try to find something to fight about. I can see why.
I hope Filipinas watch this and come to the realization that western men may not want to deal with these insecurities (disguised as jealous behavior justified by saying "she must really love you"). Why not just find a good, trusting man and treat him well unless he ACTUALLY does something wrong.

When your Filipina says she can’t turn her phone off in case of emergency. Have her set it to deny all texts and calls except for just those that are most important. This way she can receive emergency calls from certain people but no one else.

If we are on a date my phone stays away and silent. But if we are in a relationship, I will not choose to ignore my friends, they are part of my family also. I will not ignore her, but I will keep in contact with my friends, These are the people that have been there through all my problems and accomplishments. I don't take a true friend lightly. I will devote time to her without a doubt, and while she may be the center of my world, there are others I care for and are a part of my world, they are not to be discarded lightly.

'woman' is singular as in just one. Ismi is a woman, does she represent all women?
women is plural, any amount more than one.
this is the same as man and men. just for females. Please say 'some women, not all women.....

BTW, I surely appreciate that English is a PITA to learn, just hang in there. I hear many of the same errors in other Filipinos, almost as if the people there that teach English do not know it very well either?

This is a big topic in many bloggers posts. Most suggest that you should move very slowly while testing the girl's jealousy levels. Since you brought up the topic of nice clothing. I have a question regarding men's clothing in the Philippines. I see very few fine men's clothing being worn in the Philippines (Suits/sport coats etc...). Do you know the reason for this? Are they simply too expensive for most filipinos to purchase or is it that the weather is simply too hot to wear a jacket? Also if a man were to wear a suit would this put him in danger of becoming a target for criminal attack. Even while in better than average Filipino neighborhoods. In other words, is maintaining a low profil an important thing to do in the Philippines in order to avoid becoming the target of crime.
Hi guys. I think it is only fair that if you are spending time together, neither one of you are on the phone. The phones need to be put away. I have discussed this with my Filipina and she agrees. It shows respect to each other. And if you are married, your spouse should get the most amount of your time. That means your husband or wife, not your family. I'm not saying to ignore family, of course, because family is important. I'm just saying that each other should be the most important one. If I want to spend time with my friends, I'll generally talk to her about it out of respect to be sure she doesn't have something else that we need to do during that time. She's pretty good about allowing me time alone or with friends if I want it. And when we are going to go out somewhere together, I always ask her if the dress code is casual, informal, or if she wants me to dress up a little bit and look nice. That way, she always has me dressed as she likes. I don't really care what I wear. I'm comfortable wearing a suit or shorts and sneakers. I may be wrong, but I think most guys don't really care that much about fashion and branded labels. As long as the clothes are clean and comfortable, who cares what label they have? If someone wants to put their nose in the air at me for what I'm wearing, who cares. I don't need those kind of people in my life anyway. I want a peaceful life, not a stressful life. My Filipina is all about a simple, peaceful life. She doesn't like me or herself to spend extra money on fancy labeled clothes. She would rather we invest our money than waste it on frivolity. That doesn't mean she doesn't like a vacation from time to time or going out to eat or on adventures. But we plan for those things. Anyway, I'll get off my too big soap box and shut up now. Most of the topics you discussed are not jealously but anger/hurt. You forget a date - she gets hurt and angry. You don't dress well enough - she gets hurt and angry. You spend more time with your friends or time alone - she gets angry you are not spending time with her. Although she may get jealous of your friends that you spend time with (if you continue to do it) anger and hurt are the more prevelant emotions. I now understand why many vloggers say that Filipinos are very jealous if anger/hurt is labelled as jealously as anger/hurt are very normal female emotions.
I don't want a CRAZY jealous woman but a "healthy" amount of jealousy is actually attractive. It shows she's genuinely invested in you. In other words, I'd much rather have a girl that gets jealous from time to time than a woman who never does.
I'm not attached to my phone, there's absolutely nothing in electronic world that is more important than the REAL world going on around me, and I would hope the lady I'm with knows that as well, and puts hers away. The only time my phone would be important is if my lady wasn't right there with me, then it would be chatting with her on the phone until we're together. Being retired, I have nothing but time and would want to spend all day, everyday with the special lady in my life, and would expect her to as well, in which the phones can be turned off and put away. Nothing worse than being with someone that isn't there, they may be there physically, but mentally their face is buried in their phone and they're not really there. If I remember right, the Philippines was #1 in the WORLD for phone usage. Note to self: DON'T make any friends, then you won't have to worry about forgetting a date with your lady because of friends LOL. If she's expecting you to tell her about your ex's, then she needs to be willing to do the same. I dress in comfortable clothes that are clean, dressed up for me is a t-shirt and jeans LOL.

I think the 4 things you mention would be a causes to arouse jealosy in gf sor wives of any ethnicity! Most of us PEOPLE share all the same insecurities. The facts of life I guess. BTW you mentioned 'branded clothes'. I have to laugh at that, paying extra for a brand name for example on the back of my jeans seems so silly. are the jeans clean, fit properly and in good condition? who should care the brand name, hahaha. I also laugh at all the 'holy jeans ' people pay extra for! are they for going to church? haha! Will branded sneakers make you jump higher or run faster and become an athlete---- not bloody likely!
In the US, shabby clothes would mean worn out, holy, patched, torn,dirty or maybe maybe ill fitting. From what we can see of Roger his clothes are casual but never shabby. BTW, holes in the socks do not count, haha

Girlfriend/wife comes before my friends. Why would you hold a cell phone when you could hold your girlfriend/wife instead? Is she willing to try weight training with me? Maybe try mma lessons with me? The only time I would have to keep something private would be a business meeting that you would have involve a patent process. Otherwise a woman feels way better in your hands then a cell phone.
