As all your doing is basing your opinion on your perception. Instead of your experience of watching it!
Simon, I've watched 5 episodes on the internet, it was SO hard. You may find it interesting because you've never baked. But one day, when you do bake, you see after so many times baking, it just gets boring and you see it as a job instead of a hobby.
Everything about this show is a delight. Don't get me wrong, I love me some of the highly competitive cutthroat, cussing and swearing drama fueled American reality cooking competitions too but GBBO is on another level. It's is just so *soothing* and the camaraderie and sportsmanship that all the contestants show is awe-inspiring. Plus, I get the giggles every time Paul says "soggy bottom".
This is, hands down, my favorite culinary competition program!!! I love seeing the British sense of humor in play, and the utter skill and determination of the contestants!!! I'm so sad that it has already finished for this year!!!
You missed Ruby breaking that thick glass bowl and saying "it's like the incredible hulk" really mournfully and the legendary turn-around key lime pie :)
I remember no. 1. She never once apologized to the guy or explained to the judges that she messed up his cream, just kept her mouth shut during the elimination to save her own skin.
Our whole family loves this show. Such a pleasant combination of polar attributes: polite yet competitive, low-key yet dramatic, simple yet elegant, understated yet powerful. We could learn a thing or two from the Brits.
I watched Bake off for Comic relief and I realized now why so many people watch it. It's amazing. I love the sweet nature of it and how it is about the baking and the contestants rather then the drama. And the hosts can be encouraging at times instead of constantly demeaning. We will never have something like this in the States.
I'm from the USA and I love this show. It has inspired me to do more baking. The baked Alaska episode was really heartbreaking if that had happened over here the lady would have probably worn the melted ice cream for a hat.
That was simply outstanding! I remember watching the episode and my jaw just dropped when he carried it up for judging. And he STILL didn't get'Star Baker' that week!!!! Tragedy.
Just finished watching the 8 seasons that are available in the US. This cut out the best part of Cathrine's dough throwing. "I can't serve Mary Berry green Carpet". Just the way she says it with her accent it funny and awesome.
I'm American and I love this show! So calm and soothing! I also very much enjoy our shows!! I dont see why you have to hate on the other like some people in the comments are doing.
felt sorry about him going, but I think he desserved to go for the reaction, he could have presented that mess, the judges could have taste id and judge its flavor, and if it was good its possible that he would have stayed, and the old guy that played safe all the time would have been the one going
9 months later, but as someone that can relate to the "if it doesn't look perfect, it's TERRIBLE" mentality that artists of both the culinary and drawing/sculpting variety are sometimes cursed with, his reaction is normal. He's probably done the same before with smaller things and it's just something out of his immediate control.
@@destroya21 I understand and sympathize with that, but really, this is a cooking show. Presentation is only part of it. There have been countless incidents over the different series where a baker has been saved from being kicked off because their bakes tasted good, even if they didn't look good. He should have controlled that reaction and presented them with something. It's always better to present something than nothing. What's the worst that could have happened if he had shown them what he had? They'd have said "It's a shame your ice cream melted", but maybe he would have survived to the next episode. It is unfortunate what happened, he didn't have any control over someone removing his ice cream from the freezer, but in the end what he had control over was his response, and I'd bet he is kicking himself now over how he reacted.
ThatAussieGirl Then why was Iain’s the only ice cream that was reduced to liquid? There were other ice creams in that freezer. And why would Diana take it out in the first place? “Less than a minute” or not...
I love GBBO for the casual friendly attitude to competition. Where else will you see competitors help each other? I guess the ultimate compliment I can give GBBO is that it inspired me to start baking.
During tonight's episode, on Twitter people were saying Liam's jelly not setting was because Diane was still lurking around the tent all these years later and removed it from the fridge.
That whole baked alaska thing is so bizarre to me....when you come upon a fellow contestants food in a freezer, the correct course of action is NOT to leave it out on a counter, even if it was for less than a minute. What sort of madness took hold of her to tell her that was alright?
We love this show for so many reasons. Here in the states, scenarios are set up to create unnecessary tensions between participants and the creativity and humanity is lost in the process of manipulation. This show always leaves us feeling inspired and happy. We love how the contestants really become a caring sort of family. We love seeing classic creations that are not common in the states. I love that they just come right in and start creating, none of that " Big Brother/Survivor" crap that pits people against each other. These folks have their moments but they are descent and genuine and we end up really caring about these folks. I just hope that as it becomes more popular here in the states they don't allow it to be mucked up. It's just perfect the way it is.....just real people....being sincere and creative.
I am not sure what it is that this show has. I do not like cooking shows, I do not like reality shows, but for some bizarre reason the bake off has me addicted.
When Diane didn't come back the week after leaving the other contestant's ice cream out of the freezer, I figured she was booted off or was too ashamed to come back.
i love this show. cant get enough of it. i found it on netflix i just wish there were more seasons. i am from america but i love so many British shows much better than shows from america
Ok but like even if Nancy accidentally left Ian's cream out for a bit he was still an idiot for throwing away the rest of his bake. You always bring at least something to the table, you don't just throw a hissy fit and quit because one aspect was bad.
The dude who knocked his cake on the floor managed to rescue one tier and put it up. Since he'd done genoise, which is super difficult, they were impressed and he made it through. Dude should have brought up what he could.
These top 10 unforgettable moments from the Great British Bake Off are all ones that I remember from watching all of the episodes that are shown here. Even though I am not usually that into cooking shows, the Great British Bake Off is both so entertaining, and also informative. This is definitely one of the best videos about the show, as it is funny, and also has all of the best moments. Almost all of the best moments from the different episodes were all really in this post, and it is so funny that these were the things included in this post. Probably the best moments out the ten listed here would definitely have to be numbers five and three.
Nadiya's speech should have been way higher. Also YES Iain deserved to leave that week. He should have served the sloppy mess, not thrown it in the bin the big baby 😂
I felt so sorry for Iain, and it's bullshit that the ice cream was left out for less than a minute because it takes more than a minute for ice cream to turn into as much of a liquid as it did, even on a hot day. Dianna was a fucking snake.
Agree! No way was it left out for less than a minute. Regardless of how long it took (it was a hot day so it may not have been long, but certainly longer than a minute), it was long enough to turn it to slush. That said, I believe it was a complete accident. She did leave the show due to it.
She left the show for medical issues. And EVERYONE had issues with melty cream. It was literally the hottest day of the year the day they filmed that episode and the equipment wasn't sufficient to counter it (contestants have complained about that before. Had the show had a blast chiller, it'd been a non-issue).
Even if it WAS only left out for a minute at that point, how long was she going to keep it out?! She only said it was out the freezer when he went looking for it
I love the show... it's a treasure! And I love that it is what I turn to (on Netflix) when I have a little time in my busy schedule to reward myself with a break (sometimes I watch a full show..sometimes only one bit - signature, technical, or showstopper). I enjoy seeing these scenes.. but HATE that you gave away spoilers about season winners and what show some folks left on from seasons I have yet to see. Boo!
I LOOVE this show. I agree that US cooking shows are far too stressful. I love the music, the pace of it... the fact that they get to practice during the week.... It is my favorite cooking contest show.

You missed Ruby breaking that thick glass bowl and saying "it's like the incredible hulk" really mournfully and the legendary turn-around key lime pie :)
'That's my elbow on your muffin!' lol
I remember no. 1. She never once apologized to the guy or explained to the judges that she messed up his cream, just kept her mouth shut during the elimination to save her own skin.
Our whole family loves this show. Such a pleasant combination of polar attributes: polite yet competitive, low-key yet dramatic, simple yet elegant, understated yet powerful. We could learn a thing or two from the Brits.

so you talk about things you never show??? talk about the man greasing up his arms to do the dough but then don't show it???
Hello Tracy
Hope you don’t mind me chatting
The best thing is that Ian's girlfriend told him to not have a meltdown before he went on the show😂
Hello Lzzy
bakeoff is literally one of my favorite shows ever. it’s amazing, and it actually teaches me things to boot. i love it 🥺
Disappointed by the total lack of Val or Selasi, they really made last series!
NoName Val’s the crazy old lady who ‘listens’ to her cakes to hear if they’re done Xd
Selasi doing mel and sues job was the best thing ever. I laughed for days
Selasi was the bessssstttt
@@kuyaleinad4195 And she wears running shoes and does zumba while rolling her dough and prepping for baking. What a lady, lol!
It was shown that she wasn't actually responsible for it. Another contestant had left the freezer door open, while piping his own dessert.
Nadia winning in the final was the 1st and only time I’ve ever cried from watching a show about baking
Hello Zarah
Bread Lion will never be topped.
That was simply outstanding! I remember watching the episode and my jaw just dropped when he carried it up for judging. And he STILL didn't get'Star Baker' that week!!!! Tragedy.
i seriously love Bake Off so much. so stoked we finally have a British Watch Mojo Channel.
Little Miss Sunshine I
Hello Lucy
Just finished watching the 8 seasons that are available in the US. This cut out the best part of Cathrine's dough throwing. "I can't serve Mary Berry green Carpet". Just the way she says it with her accent it funny and awesome.
This is by far the best baking show!! I’m in the US and I’m hooked. Amazing talent and hilarious.
Hello Giselle
On Paul's Lion Bread...Even Hollywood seemed stunned.
if the baked alaska incident isnt included in this im suing
thank god it's number one
I love this show and how everybody shows a friendly manner and support to each other.
I'm American and I love this show! So calm and soothing! I also very much enjoy our shows!! I dont see why you have to hate on the other like some people in the comments are doing.
In Mel's defense, if it only took that little bit of movement to topple it, then that biscuit tower never had a chance to begin with.
I feel so sorry for Iain and I think he shouldn't have gone
ellie9311 they should have brought him back when Dianna went because of her injury
felt sorry about him going, but I think he desserved to go for the reaction, he could have presented that mess, the judges could have taste id and judge its flavor, and if it was good its possible that he would have stayed, and the old guy that played safe all the time would have been the one going
@@dheu Agrred! If John was able to stay on with his salt dessert then Iain had a very good chance to stay on if they'd had something to taste
I loved the Dalek made of biscuits if anyone remembers.💜 Very creative.
Bingate and Custardgate: Sabotage at it's finest
TheBooshBabe custardgate wasn't on purpose though and she admitted it
ThatAussieGirl Then why was Iain’s the only ice cream that was reduced to liquid? There were other ice creams in that freezer. And why would Diana take it out in the first place? “Less than a minute” or not...
I love GBBO for the casual friendly attitude to competition. Where else will you see competitors help each other? I guess the ultimate compliment I can give GBBO is that it inspired me to start baking.
Iain doesn’t deserve the loss my mum and I knew that it was Diana and Diana was struggling too . When Iain had to say goodbye Diana was SMILING!!!!!!
Years from now, with my dying breath, I will call out, "justice for Iain."
Hello Sharna
I love this show, because all the contestants love each other, support each other and help each other.
Hello Donna
During tonight's episode, on Twitter people were saying Liam's jelly not setting was because Diane was still lurking around the tent all these years later and removed it from the fridge.
I really like the builder who made the "eclair stairs"
Was this the guy who always had a pencil behind his ears? If that's who you mean, yes, he was really good.
Richard!!!
Nadiyah inspired me to keep pushing myself in what I want to do! Her win, her tears, her husband, and Mary crying still make me tear up
My friend and I saw the baked Alaska incident and we were furious
@Salini Teri Apodaca True
Umm where is val the cake whisperer
My goodness that Paul gentleman is a work of art himself.
Nadiya is such a lovely person and I've thoroughly loved all the shows she has made and been on since the Bakeoff, she deserves her success. :)
This show is my happy place.
That whole baked alaska thing is so bizarre to me....when you come upon a fellow contestants food in a freezer, the correct course of action is NOT to leave it out on a counter, even if it was for less than a minute. What sort of madness took hold of her to tell her that was alright?
0:58 That's what American Bake off shows are missing a squirrel with a big knob.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love to see those big hugs with excitement and happiness
As an American this is one of my favorite shows. Netflix needs to give me more to watch.
Hello Chaotic
Literally the only baking show that isn’t toxic
Bingate was fkn emotional #justiceforIan
Nadia got her own Netflix original about cooking
As a yank I really enjoy this show! I must admit our cooking shows are more about hilarity and panic than true British charm and grace...thank you UK!
I am not sure what it is that this show has.
I do not like cooking shows, I do not like reality shows, but for some bizarre reason the bake off has me addicted.
I love this show its been a family adiction for ever i hope ot goes on for ever too! Master class too
I'm waiting for the time when Deborah stole Howard's custard
ive watched each season at least three times...but earlier in the series for sure is where the gold is. LOVE from Georgia, USA
I love this show and everybody who has been a judge or participant💕💕💕 please bring this show back.
Hello Diana
When Diane didn't come back the week after leaving the other contestant's ice cream out of the freezer, I figured she was booted off or was too ashamed to come back.
Hello Susan
i love this show. cant get enough of it. i found it on netflix i just wish there were more seasons. i am from america but i love so many British shows much better than shows from america
PBS introduced most Americans to this Awesome show.. we don't get to see it often enough!! 💐💐♥️♥️
Anyone else watching this at midnight in lockdown and can’t get to sleep or just me?🤣
yassss
So Ive only seen two or three series of this show and evidently they were all the best, because I recognize the majority of these clips.
Ok but like even if Nancy accidentally left Ian's cream out for a bit he was still an idiot for throwing away the rest of his bake. You always bring at least something to the table, you don't just throw a hissy fit and quit because one aspect was bad.
but still tho
The dude who knocked his cake on the floor managed to rescue one tier and put it up. Since he'd done genoise, which is super difficult, they were impressed and he made it through. Dude should have brought up what he could.
Dude, I love thid show. American cooking/baking shows are just. . . Cruel. This show is beautiful.
Probably the best moments out the ten listed here would definitely have to be numbers five and three.
i miss mel and sue. i miss someone bringing out the dancing girls and the orange segments but not being able to due to budget cuts😭😭😭
I saw the squirrel 🐿 one live lmao 😂
What about Dorret's Black Forrest Gateau that looked more like a sneeze? Surely that deserves some recognition?
Nadiya's speech should have been way higher. Also YES Iain deserved to leave that week. He should have served the sloppy mess, not thrown it in the bin the big baby 😂
I'm from the UK and I love the bake off so much! Interesting to see how many american's like this show though.
The baked alaska incident pissed me off so much!
i knew what number one was going to be as soon as i clicked
Carrie Mansfield doesn't mean she gets off scott free after sabotaging someone else's bake tho
That old lady pissed me off
Even if it WAS only left out for a minute at that point, how long was she going to keep it out?! She only said it was out the freezer when he went looking for it
Come onnnnn. Chetna accidentally doing the technical for a signature and then Louis’ alcohol filled donuts was a classic episode.
1. ALL OF RAHUL
I'm not mad at Diane, it may well have been an accident. But I was very surprised she didn't insist on taking Ian's place. I would have.
IT'S ON NETFLIX!!!!!! As a brit I am extremely excited 😁😁😁
Hello Kim
I love that this was even a video idea
Hello Chelsea
I miss this show so much! That was the best!
