Let people build houses and there will no longer be a housing crisis. If I bought a site just outside my city and tried to build a house I wouldn't get a planning permission because of existing legislation. Even if I could get it it would take years of negotiation and submissions. It's just impossible and that's what's causing the crisis. Don't blame immigrants.

The Irish government does not do religion when it comes to implementing the teachings of the Catholic church but it clearly believes in the miracle of the loaves and the fishes when it comes to accommodating unlimited immigrants in a country with an existing shortage of housing, health services, and financial resources.

Somewhat over 30 years ago I lived in Bray, and worked in the centre of Dublin. I would enjoy watching the scenery from the Dart, on my commute. Often on Sunday I would wait outside the Cinema by the Liffey to go hiking for the day with An Óige. The Ireland I knew then was very safe, welcoming, and most people were happy. I wouldn't recognise today's Ireland, and my late Irish mother, uncle and grandparents would cry if they could see how Irish politicians have sold the Irish people down the river.

Ireland is small, and we don't have a guilt complex like the average Englishman would have because of all this colonial racist headbashing that's going on, it's impossible for that to work on Irish people imo, we have a culture that is high trust in nature, and we just know our children are almost 100% safe when they go out, that's gone and everyone has an ominous sense of something isn't right. In the cities it's common to see other races of people, in rural Ireland it's unheard of, it's just native Irish who have been there for generations, so any change is hugely noticeable it's actually sad to witness.
People will have to become low trust and stop being afraid to be vigilant and question everything from now on. This is the problem I have with globalisation and diversity. Most countries are high crime and more violent than Ireland in the recent past. Too rapid immigration has resulted in many native Irish being caught out and becoming victims of crime, some fatally.
There needs to be a large increase in police, health and services to cop with this new reality, but cosy middle-class politicians want to do diversity on the cheap and make ordinary people suffer the consequences.
