This is literally how REMASTERS are SUPPOSED to be done. Keep the essence of the original while refining and drawing out the fine details the original intended. Masterful Work!!!!

I assume this was made from scratch - it's incredible! This is something I wish EA themselves would do (if they weren't busy making crap in the name of NFS today). Iconic track and iconic music from a great game! Apart from a few key elements missing like the seaweed and submarine in the underwater tunnel, the cruise ship near the docks, the "Rapa Nui Park" overhead banners on some roads etc. this is spot on, because this updates the graphics and details without losing the original track's vibe! Great job!

please make Dolphin Cove and Kindiak park or the Snowy road of HIgh stakes totlly loved those tracks and with upgraded graphics would look savage!!!!!! cheers very sweet job!!!

I’m PortalCat and I’m an author c: Well I spent 4-5 days on it and ... uhm ... about 8-9 hours each day (don’t worry I’m fine xd) Yeah I had to redo some uv maps (road was the hardest thing to redo) and assign TM textures instead of original NFS ones. Yea I’ve also “covered” the whole map with polygons from the other side so shadows work how they’re supposed to. And some more minor changes like double sided polygons and other stuff I‘ve also placed all the palm trees near the road exactly like they were in original xd

I still play it sometimes. (Yes. Once you have the CD, it's yours forever.) With that additional 3dfx emu driver it still feels amazing.
