Heck yeah you do! They nailed this design 100%. Plus it’s pretty affordable.
Huge fan of Seiko, but not a collector, but for the past couple years my daily watch is an SRPD77 'Avocado'. When these came out, as an avid motorcyclist I coudnt resist, I purchased this Green model from Exquisite Timepieces and absolutely adore it.
I expect I will be adding the Blue shortly. Eventually, I will snag the Black as well and do a laymans comparison.
I'm not a fan of this style but the amount of details they did for this limited run is fantastic for $400.
We had a Honda Spree gang in my subdivision growing up... Yeah, I'm admitting that! 😅 Never got a Super Cub, but I've always been a fan of anything Honda Motorcycles! Very cool watch!
Scooters are the most fun you can have going slow. I have owned Ruckus and they are a blast. Also had tons of fun on spree as a kid.
@@RandomRobReviews We heard a rumor that if you took the muffler off, it would make them go faster. With a good tail wind, we hit a whopping 25 mph! You could also hear us coming a mile away! lol Lots of good memories!
As a Honda rider and seiko fan. Got mine today.
I went into my watch dealer with a Presage purchase in mind and then I saw this beauty and said screw the Presage and purchased this beauty instead😂

Seiko and Honda equal quality...👍👍👍 I used to have a Honda bullet bike.
I think the screw-head at the 12 o'clock is a throttle adjustment screw homage, and that this is a great idea. I need a blue 1978 Honda Goldwing version. Red back place is awesome. Band is perfect. If it had a 4-stroke mechanical movement it would be priceless. Just saw the 1 and 11 o'clock markers. Turn signals.
I put my green and cream Super Cub on a black tropic strap; mimicking the tires.

Great review Rob i totally share your enthusiasm for this LE Seiko. I liked it so much that i had to have one also, 585 of 6000. Thinking of ordering a Strapco RollerBall bracelet for it. The stock nato is so well styled and paired to the dial. Seiko hit it out of the park with this Super Cub all the way down to special packaging.

mine doesn't have the "made in japan" between 6&7. Is it different depending on where you buy it?
Really cool LE. There's even a black and red version but I like the green better. I'm a fan of the Cub/Trail, but unfortunately they're not available in my country officially so if I wanted one (thru importers) I'll have to pay roughly the same price as a Rebel 500 😅
Not a Honda guy and have no connection to the theme, but it is well done. I would use a really nice green rubber strap with the molded curved ends on it.
Lots of cub owner buying this as accessories.

I thought it was going to be for the Airplane: Piper PA-18 Super Cub🙂.
I get it. A hook for Seiko to sell more watches. I am a motorcycle guy and understand Honda lineage including the Super Cub.
But...but...I don't like the aesthetic of that watch. To me a graphics fail.
And, to me the SKX007, the rudiment of the Seiko 5 is the greatest and most icon dive watch in history.
This nexus doesn't work for me.
Two final thoughts. Since the SKX007 was discontinued, there have been many imitators. No watch IMO captures the SKX007 short of a mod of the exact watch with upgraded movement and crystal. Seiko would make a 'killing' if they reintroduced the SKX007 with updates...maybe a titanium version to lower the considerable mass of the watch.
A last note speaking of a marketing opportunity. If Honda released tomorrow a 200cc version of the Super Cub they couldn't keep them in stock. The biggest detractor of the Super Cub which can do 60mph with a 10mph tailwind is..lack of power. The Super Cub needs more power and Honda could do this simply. Same for the Grom and Monkey which are fantastic, just underpowered.
The Honda super cup is awesome. A watch has nothing to do with it.
Seiko is really good at cheapening their brand.
There is so many beautiful Hondas they could of pulled inspiration from but nooo they went with this turd. Kills me so much since I'm a major honda boy 😡 why not the NSX
