    Hi from Australia, just wanted to say it's really nice to have some warm weather content. Luckily for me I'm new to knitting so I've been watching a lot of podcasts from 6 months ago for the correct season 😂

    Whenever I watch your videos, I feel more motivated to work on my project because we have similar taste in color palette. I loveeeee pastels (esp. Blue, purple, and pink) and colorworks project. *high five*😂🎉

    The other thing that might help the way the armpit fits is making the armscye (arm hole) a little shorter. With the amount of ease patterns like the Ranunculus typically have, the instructions generally have a larger armscye diameter, which adds bulk and causes those wrinkles. To fix this, I would reconnect the split for the armscye just a few rows earlier, and maybe cast on a few less stitches for the armpit area. Then increase as needed for the sleeve to fit with the ease you want. Your Ranunculus is beautiful! Between this video and the Chloe Knits video, and some lace weight yarn burning a hole in my stash , I think I’m going to make one too!

    Try the colorwork inside out and see if tjat helps tension. KnittyMelissa on youtube was one of few videos i liked on watching on inside colorwork. That way float travel a bit more. Very cute sunflowers either way. I also really like the vest.

      Yes! I do all my colorwork socks inside out and it helps so much.

    As a fellow author and crafter I feel all of this. I love my Ranunculus but haven't made a second yet. Edit to add: I've making a lot of colorwork socks lately as well. I just spread out the stitches as far as they will go and I never have an issue with my floats being to tight. I know some people go up a needle size for the colorwork or turn it inside out to knit the colorwork (maybe the floats being on the outside helps?). I've never tried either of those methods but those are the ones I've heard of people doing.

      Maybe I should try making longer floats for my socks, thank you for the tip!!

    👀 as someone with a project in mind to hold mohair (or rather an alpaka alternative) together with a cotton yarn.. why was it a bad idea when you helt the kids mohair together with a cotton? 😱 😅 what happened? 🫣

    I'm from the Philippines, all my crochet and knit works are made in cotton. I use Ashley's Crochet yarn, they are a local yarn seller from Baguio.

      I love working with cotton so I’m always on the lookout! Maybe I should check that out when I’m in the Philippines 🤍

    Hi, do you remember the gauge of your Ranunculus with the 5,0 mm needles?

    • @TheHarryKnit
      @TheHarryKnit  9 днів тому

      Not off the top of my head but I’m pretty sure it’s close to the original! Cause I did a swatch with 6mm and it was bigger than reccomended!
