- 🎉 This is a historic first live performance of Motty Steinmetz and Ishay Ribo of their hit song "Nafshi".
And this is the first time such good quality footage from that event (shot so close to the singers) is here on UA-cam.

The followers of your channel must have noticed already, that there are formed improvised fluent lyrical novels, when we all are waiting for the continuation, sometimes unconsciously. The beginning of “Nafshi” was described on your channel exactly last summer (2023), when singers were working in the studio, it was in 2018. Motty and Ishay, “two historically different worlds of the Jewish music”, as Shmuel Yefet marked, created this magic reality, but since that returning to it in their concerts in solo and duets, reviving its initial breath, whoever would be their partners ─ “expression of the inner will that sustains the Universe, Ketter ─ the infinite one of the 11 sefirot” (From Chabad).

מה פתאום! זה היה בהפרדה. זו הייתה אחת ההופעות הנפרדות שישי עשה אז ומוטי ניצל הזדמנות לבוא לשיר איתו ביחד את השיר הזה.
אילו היה שם קהל מעורב, מוטי לא היה מגיע. זה ידוע.
Why is it historic? It was really good but I don't understand calling it historic. Also this is the encore, they sang the song twice
This song has gained immense popularity since its release. It had and still has a huge influence on different segments of the population in Israel. It managed to combine some almost incompatible things (completely different singing styles of Motty and Ishay, different pronunciations of Hebrew, different timbres of voices).
According to many comments, this song managed to unite different sectors of the Israeli public.
On radio (in Israel) it was voted *song of the decade.*
So, based on everything said above, the first live performance of this song, in our opinion, can be called *historic.*
On top of that, Motty and Ishay have only performed this song together a few times since then. The two of them almost never intersect on the same stage. And this adds to the “historicity” of the event.
They performed this song 1.5 times, to be more precise 🙂. Motty suddenly appeared on stage in the middle of the song - and the two of them sang it to the end. And then they sang it in full again for an encore.
You can find some other full videos from that day on UA-cam (but all of them were filmed from a distance and their video-quality is lower).
In our video, we decided to include only the part in which they sing as an encore (after Motty and Ishay coordinated with each other on how they could best perform this song (speaking into each other's ears)).
