Thanks for this explanation! I tried raptor farming for the first time for the anniversary drops and even got survivor on my warrior and necro thanks to this. Necro is a lot more strict with timing on 2MoP method but once I figured it out it was about the same as warrior. EBSoH is probably much better for necro though.
@ ok so after over 2 hours of learning it's still quite difficult to me. 1. Most of the time Boss stays alive - i realised reason for that is having STANDARD OF HONOR disrupted. Also I found out casting MOP on another mob guarantees whole cave to die but again it often gets DISRUPTED when casting. 2. Sometimes my manoveurs are bad and I get hit too much before stopping Using hero is easy but i have no idea how to put correct combo of all skills ... Without standard Boss stays alive and Im losing items + time + NERVES haha

try to put down the ward before all the raptors are there and ofc have the protector's defense, soldiers stance stuff on you for block. In theory if less raptors are there your chances are smaller to get interrupted, but if you wait for long and try to put down the ebon ward when a full group is at you, chances are bad. Another thing if the ebon battle standard of honur gets interrupted try to put mark of pain on another raptor instead, this way you can kill them too, necro can choose from 1mop+ward or 2mops

After all these years, still not sure... is there a difference in drop quantity and quality between normal and hard mode? Tomes aside.

if you mean only the event items, there may be no difference since same amount of raptors, but weapons drop better in HM and their value is closer to max, are more valuable in general
I don’t have access to hard mode and am trying to farm anniversary drops. The boss never dies and make haste feels like it makes me way too fast. They don’t follow me when I have it on. And I can’t get to mops off every time

in Normal Mode dont use speedboosts if u want to beat Rekoff too, use mark of pain on 2 raptors(so use mop when u start and use it again on another raptor when you balled them)
What is causing them to interrupt my second mop? It feels random at this point if the boss dies or not. More often than not she lives. I’m playing as dervish

can anyone give me a hint to kill the boss too? I tried diffrent builds and tactics, but on 90% of times the Broodmother keep on live with less health

click to 6:39 the most common mistakes, possible failures are shown, if boss stays alive you either didnt use mark of pain twice, or one of the mops didnt reach Rekoff
@ For me personally, the biggest thing that causes me to not succeed in a run is groups randomly losing aggro, mainly the large one on the far left if I run too fast. If that happens I need to go back and get their attention again which causes the first mark of pain to wear off by the time I have them all clustered together. I know I did have this down fairly reliably a longgg time ago but I'm rusty now so figuring out ways to minimise that risk :)

@@FalcusSTG if u have only one 33% increased movement speed, they wont break agro only the furthest group on the left side if u go too far, thats at the other end of the cave, beyond where Rekoff is
@ Yeah I was only using 33% when running through but the group breaks aggro. I've got it down consistently now though, I just need to slow down slightly when running past the group that is in the left corner, next to the rock :) I don't slow down much, just enough to make sure they re-aggro if they lost aggro (they lose aggro whilst I'm still in range so it may just be a latency thing where it looks like they aggro, but didn't)
jesus christ, ranger farm is so random.... so you can either sacrifice all your money from run to increase success rate to about 70% - or you can try to keep your money gains, and have your success rate at about 60%. depending on the raptor patrol and angorodon spawn your run is already pre-decided if it's a fail or win. as well as hatchling patrol timing, if you take too much time to gather them, you just get annihilated. maybe im just biased cos im warrior main and i had about +95% success rate with raptor farm
Honestly, i think whenever you say "95%" its bullshit. Same goes for ministerial farm too. The chance of having too many traps and getting killed is so high that 95% just doesn't come close. Drop that to 80% and i might agree with you.

@ Well, i can't even argue with that because i Woc with Rit and Raptor with Derv lol, im not "Pro" but still think 95% is bs. You're saying you only die 5 times out of a 100 ? I'd love to have that scientifically confirmed :P
Peter is a pro when it comes to farming, plus he's an alpha. Anyone that can farm 100 ectos in a day on the plains of chaos needs and deserves to be respected.

Pro tip, if you want dust, put Highly Salvageable mod on gold Conch shields. It gives a lot of dust. It’s my go to dust farming method.

sure, even at 0 scythe mastery, dmg comes from mop and vos not from scythe attack skills

Peter meanwhile changed the warrior build a bit. Instead of "Finish him!" he skilled "You are all Weaklings!" nowadays.

@ Ahh i get it. With using Wary Stance direct before casting Mark of Pain it works :)

Yes but it does not have to be. Also make sure to display your Asura title so you get more energy (+15)
