The best robot mop I found is the Narwal Freo with the auto water exchanger has changed my life. It never over mops or leaves the edge build ups as other mops I have tried. Just remember to run it in freo mode so it vacuums and will detect of dirty the floor is and go back if needed.
That's why she's loved having a robot vacuum... because of the dog fur that builds up so quickly on the floors. We currently only have one dog, and it's a short-haired dog, but the Roborock has been great at getting up that dog fur in our house.
We used to have three-quarter inch hardwood floors in our old home and we never once mopped we would just spot spray with Windex if something spilled, but I would never recommend full on water and mopping on any kind of wood flooring. tile and that’s it

Glad you've had such a positive experience with Roborock vacs. My Roborock S7MaxV is a dead loss, and I'll be replacing it soon. I was so excited to move up from my Roomba - which does a great job vacuuming - to the Roborock with mopping. Right away, I found that it tripped over the edges of the throw rugs that Roomba handled without a problem. Roborock curled up the edge of the rug, then got tangled up and stuck. Even worse, the mop pads folded over and would not stay in place with the Velcro attachment. OK, I gave up on mopping, but it then quit emptying its dust bin. No amount of cleaning the chute to the dust bag was able to fix this problem. The only thing my Roborock excels at is getting stuck, or thinking it is stuck. Arrgh! I've spent so much time untangling it from rugs and emptying its dust bin, I'm looking forward to replacing it with another Roomba (I8, J7, whatever the current model is), because my original Roomba is chugging along on the second floor without constant babysitting.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've found that rugs with little tassels are the enemy of most robot vacuums. I've used a Roomba in the past and I actually found that it got stuck more than my roborocks on certain things. I never had any performance issues with the S7 and the Q Revo has done well so far. I hope you find something that works well for your house.

I had the same exact wood 2 inch wide floor in my house. We had the chipping issues in the cracks between the slats, especially in the high traffic areas and around doors (damper areas). I think the finish of that floor was not good. Forget about walking on this floor with socks. You will get splinters without a doubt. Over a year ago, we replaced wood flooring with a higher grade engineered oak wood and a 3mm thick top. One that you can refinish later. Our robot wet mop runs three times a week and covers the entire house. Note, this mop may only use 1 1/2 cups of water to complete the entire 2500 sq ft of our house, that is not much. So far no issues. Roborock certainly has a more intuitive app than iRobot. My next robot will be Roborock for sure.
Hi Shane, I know Roborock is your sponsor but it would be good to talk about their customer support in your videos. I own S7, it is under warranty and I have issues with lidar sensor. Their support gave me a link to buy a new sensor, when I asked them to fix it for free under warranty they stopped responding. That’s not how good brands should treat their customers!
I bought an S7 in April which was dead on arrival. Got a replacement from Amazon a few days later. The Lidar system went bad this month. Roborock customer service said they would send me a new unit, then wrote back to say they could only repair mine or send me a refurbished unit. I asked them for a complete refund instead and they sent me a pre-paid UPS to send the unit to their warehouse in Missouri. They refunded my money through Amazon. I have to pay to ship the self-emptying dock back this week, but they have promised to refund that money too when they receive it. Went to Best Buy a couple of days ago and bought the Roomba S9+ and Braava Jet M6 mop combo, which is what I should have done in the first place.

I realize it’s a bit beyond the scope of this video but I have the Roborock S8 and it is quite nicely integrated in my apple home app using homebridge and the Homebridge Xiaomi Roborock Vacuum plug-in. This allows me to integrate it in my home automations. For example, clean when the last person leaves. Hope this is useful to someone! - Blaise
I had a much older Roborock and had no issues with it except the battery started needing recharged in the middle of cleans. But by that time it was well towards 5yrs old. I really should have stayed with that brand. I bought another brand that vacuums well, but gets itself stuck under things causing me some real problems. It also keeps going until it doesn't have enough juice left to get to get to the docking station... especially since it goes on detours or honestly just can not figure out where the heck 'home' is. VERY frequent issue and obviously very annoying. I will one day kick it to the curb and replace it but for all I spent on it, I feel like I should use it for at least another year. Of course I often feel like smashing that dang thing!! Oh ... mopping. No, I haven't tried any. I've been avoiding those due to my own fears on doing something stupid with it!

No actually the S7 (or the newer S8) is their top-of-the-line flagship model. It has a few more features or spec bumps than the Q Revo. But the Q Revo has all the features I'd want personally, and is a little cheaper.
Look forward to how well the unit is performing long term. Does it still have “wife approval”? Off topic question… has you or anyone else lost HomeKit video on your cameras in the past few months? I have 4 cameras from 3 different manufacturers that no longer record via HomeKit or send any notifications of any activity. They work fine I the manufacturer apps and record to onboard SD cards that I can review, but not in the Apple app. My Logitech doorbell camera unfortunately relies on HomeKit and now has no recording or notification ability. Anyone else have this problem? This happened after one of the recent updates that Apple sent out. BTW all my hubs, cameras, sensors, phones, etc. are all running latest versions of firmware. Everything worked prior to about 2 months ago… Thanks for any help anyone….
Used T20 for almost a month, it’s almost identical to the Q Revo with the rotating mopping pads. It continued to trigger an error stating the mopping pads were tangled when they clearly were not and I just returned it. I was also worried about water on the hardwoods, I’m honestly not sure how this couldn’t do damage over time? Water is the enemy of hardwood floors and it seems like there should be a drying feature to prevent water damage to hardwoods.
Thanks for the review Shane. Do you know if it needs an Internet or even a network connection to work? Also, I wish we had more information on the sound and speed of these robots in general. How loud is the vacuuming, the mopping, the self-cleaning cycle? It would also help to know how long they take to clean a certain size room. Some times it looks like the videos are sped up when showing them cleaning and they never have the sound on. I'm home pretty much all day so I'll have to live with the sound of them when they are cleaning.
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't perform a technical sound test, but this is the quietest robor vacuum/mop that I've personally used. That's one of the first things I noticed with this one... how quiet it is.

It happened to me a while ago but now it is just not working anymore. The LIDAR error is saying the the “little head” my have some obstruction or the lens are not clean, the lens are clean and I can see it spinning. I saw some videos online and I am scared that I may need to open the Qrevo just to fix it, again just coming to you first, just in case you are familiar with the error and may know a solution. I am not familiar with the issue. I am not using the Q Revo anymore but I gave it to a family member recently who has been using it without any issues. I would recommend contacting the company before doing anything else, if you haven’t already. See what they suggest. Wouldn’t want to do anything that could mess up a potential warranty claim.

You can export shortcuts from the Roborock app. So do that for each action you want. Then create a new shortcut in the Shortcuts app and use the "Choose From Menu" action. Use the "Run Shortcut" action for each option in your menu and pick the appropriate shortcut that was created using the roborock app. Hope that helps.

We have two dogs who shed a lot - curious how well it would handle fur.

Once you go robot vacuum and mop it’s super hard to go back! Just make sure you get it mapped correctly in the beginning & she’ll love it!
