Pleased that you mentioned that you are seeing the 'shiny' side of places and that there is more to each place and of the realities of poverty in places.
We spent several days in Cape Town pre cruise. It’s one of our favorite cities as there is so much to do. We were there in February so the weather was a little different. Very fond memories of our time there.
So glad you enjoyed Cape Town. Yet to visit yet. It was one of my parents favourite cities. So much to see and it is a great place as a Base to explore. They'd definitely recommend Robben Island and a trip along the Garden Route. And thank you for also highlighting the grim side of South Africa. Every time I go and visit my brother in Johannesburg we go past the townships and show him how lucky he is.

That's certainly on our list, but we also have a lot of in-depth travel you would like to do for some of the wonderful places that we have seen. We've also already got our next big adventure booked in January of next year which will be making an announcement on that soon. Thanks a lot for sailing along with us😃
That depends on several things. We probably would not do a nine month again as that’s been a long time to be away from our family. We would be more selective as well on the ports that the cruise would stop at, and those things would help make our decision. But if we found a world cruise that meets our criteria, then absolutely we would do another world cruise.😀

I'm going to Michigan in October (Luna Pier) and am wondering when this cruise is over. September sometime? Glad you enjoyed South Africa! I want to go there now too!
You should go on the garden route when you return - George, Wilderness, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay - it is truly my favourite part of the country as a born and bred Capetonian.

I have been extremely happy with these travel pants. They get washed once a week by the ship, so I’m sure in very hot water and dried in very high heat, and they return back to me perfect. You will love that area in Michigan. Beautiful! It can get a little chilly in October so be sure to dress appropriately. We get home September 11.

Can you take the wine back to your cabin since you are world cruisers?
Yes. There is no limit to us bringing wine back to our cabin being on the full world cruise.
I am wondering if you have gained any weight?
We both did pretty good until the last couple months and we put on a few pounds there probably just enjoying ourselves a little too much. 😁
