I think Kouji's perspective about 'mamak' is not accurate. Mamak actually means Indian muslim. So, mamak restaurant means restaurant that have indian muslim waiters & chefs and serve indian muslim dishes. There're several types of general restaurants in Malaysia : - Kopitiam = chinese coffee house/restaurant - Food Court = Several food stalls in one place (indoor or outdoor); - Mamak = (as mentioned) - Warung = Malay tea/coffee small restaurant also that serve Malay dishes. - Kedai Thai/Tomyam = Thai restaurant - Kedai Nasi Campur = Restaurant that serve a lot choice (in buffet trays) of main dishes and side dishes (to eat with rice); usually own by Malay or Indonesian.
True! But in the end, all Malaysians regardless of race or religion enjoy all of these restaurant!. Mamaks are usually for those who like to 'lepak' at night to have a chat with buddies or most commonly, for sports!
if you see malaysian staring at you, please don’t get offended 🤣we just find foreigners interesting and fascinating to see. Love how people choose malaysia as a place to travel♥️
Dears, that not mamak but chinese food courts😆..but its ok as long as you guys still enjoy the foodie!! Bahasa melayu also showing the improvement!! Waiting your next video guys😃😃
HAHAHA..yes...that funny...they think all restaurant is mamak..🤣....mamak is actually is malaysian Indian muslim style restaurant...and the best place to "lepak" (spent some free time with friends) for all malaysian... especially the teenagers....
Hi guys, that’s not mamak actually, that is Chinese food court , if u want try mamak, I suggest u can go Pelita on Jalan Ampang and try their famous Nasi Kandar! Welcome to Malaysia!
Kopitiam = chinese coffee house/restaurant - Food Court = Several food stalls in one place (indoor or outdoor); - Mamak = indian muslim restaurant that serve indian muslim dishes - Warung = Malay tea/coffee small restaurant also that serve Malay dishes. - Kedai Thai/Tomyam = Thai restaurant - Kedai Nasi Campur = Restaurant that serve a lot choice (in buffet trays) of main dishes and side dishes (to eat with rice); usually own by Malay or Indonesian.
In my opinion when you are travelling, it is good to have local malaysian people tag along in your journey so you can fully experience Malaysia like a true malaysian would do..
if you spend a lot of time in kuala lumpur only, u need to check the mrt route, because there is a few malls that connected directly from the station, you actually can explore most of kl just by using mrt
Mid Valley Mall has around 100 restaurants and 2 huge food courts with so many variety of food including an actual mamak stall. Just ask the information counter or see the shop directory listing online and also physical ones around the mall.
Yeah, i also agree that we should implement using trains and buses more, but we need to educate the people to use them too. KL is considered to be very convenient already with the amount of LRT and MRT it has. Sad fact is that people outside developed town like KL rather use personal cars because of bad experiences with public transport services
Yeah correct..but i believe there are buses available to or pass by Mid valley.. especially the rapid KL, and causeway link (just to mentioned a few)...maybe they just don't know where to wait for it..or if they are a bit adventures instead of waiting there they can take the Kommuter from there and go to kl central station or other stops..and start from there..well that what we (pokai people) usual do..commuting by exchanging stations to stations (ie..bus..MRT..lrt to monorail..or commuter to Lrt..etc) just to get to the destination.. but the most important part is to properly plan your journey so that you might not get lost or taking the wrong 'train'...but of course the easiest method will be calling the Grab.. 😅 and really works if you have 'poket penuh' ..again it's your call..
Agreed. As fellow Malaysian, I hope we can rely less on private transport. We are so behind when it comes to using public transportation. Also I hope the system for public transportation will be improved so that Malaysian will no longer feel 'traumatized' to use the access 😅
Komuter is the most unreliable. i used to take it to commute from my house to uni or places in KL. but the waiting time is sooooooo long. like one train in 20 minutes? belum campur delay lagi. hadoi. dakara i really appreciate the gov's initiative to introduce MRT to areas not covered by LRT. the trains in KL are convenient, except it doesn't cover a wide area and not that frequent nor that punctual. but still OK compared to komuter.
I followed you since u started learning bahasa melayu and until now i'm super proud of you guys! I hope u enjoy ur time in Malaysia as much as you can! マレーシア人と友達になりたいか?
Found your video through Kouji and I'm enjoying your videos, you look like a bunch of happy high school kids haha such cheerful spirit! Hope you will enjoy your stay in Malaysia 🇲🇾
I dont know why but seeing you guys exploring malaysia like this makes me feel extremely happy and i hope you guys didnt have to go through any difficulties while you're here. Id like to suggest you guys to go to aquaria and petrosains in klcc cause its very beautiful and i thought that maybe you guys will enjoy it. HAVE FUN!!
Wow.. You guys are really having fun, that's good.. Where are you guys staying..? I want to invite you guys to my nephew's wedding this weekend in Puchong, Selangor.. So that we can 'lepak' and makan makan..
Welcome to Malaysia! if you have the opportunity, stop on the east coast of malaysia..for example in teluk chempedak KUANTAN pahang, genting highland bentong pahang, pulau perhentian terengganu ..
Since you all are in Msia, make a trip to Penang / Pulau Pinang .Many Japanese stay in Penang, It is a tourist and has historical places, also have many type of food from various community. Try Chinese Dim Sum restaurant, favorite for Japanese .
U should try nasi lemak city garden at kg baru..only 7 pm start ...after take nasi lemak you can go walk to kg baru infront the city garden nasi lemak..you can see lot of variety malay food ..also you can go to saloma bridge for photo shoot at night view..very nice..
You guys are soooo cuuuttteeeee😍😍😍 And independent tooo!! I just wanna add, in Msia, most of our food are really really really spicy especially if you go to restaurant originally cooked by Msian. For restaurant which served non-Msian food such as Dubuyo, the spicy may not be so spicy. so if you have low tolerant for spicy food, you should really be careful and think twice before buying it😆 Bcoz I don’t eat spicy too so I’ll be really cautious when buying spicy food. 😁
Yeayy i hope you all are adapting well in Malaysia💜 And all of you have a great bahasa melayu pronunciation, yabai! Great to see you eating well, please try mcd and give honest review 😉
You guys looks so HAPPY~!!!👍😆I'm glad to know that~!! I hope you and the others enjoy your trips in Malaysia~!!!❤💙💛🤍 And I hope one day we can meet up~!!🤗😁 Your Malay language will be perfect one day. I know you guys can do it~!!💪😘Ganbatte~!!!

actual if you want just to go shopping for AEON Mall you can search location through it website. I see your house is far from Mid Valley because you go through KLCC because there are more nearer AEON or other Mall such as SUNWAY PUTRA, MALL, SOGO, GIANT, MYTOWN public transport such LRT MRT also easy interconnected.
Aeon, the place where local Malaysian everyday buy there...because its cheap Nobu,if you go Klcc mall...there are garden park outside it,very beautiful and so many people. Also have cinema inside it,but little expensive. Enjoy at Malaysia, nobu.
Thats a Chinese Food Court... Dont forget to walk at Jalan Imbi berjaya Times Square, you can using komuter more easier than grab car.. All in one bunch of building, but be carefully that building is very big.. Dont get lost, & make sure do not leave without your legs behind... No need to go out to find food, all in there... The best thing is, cheap.. Have fun.. Waiting for another video...
Enjoy yourself in Malaysia. There are more good food in Malaysia such as Malay burger ramly or Malay stall, Indian banana leaf food and Chinese food. They were varieties. Hope you explore more and enjoy more food. Foods haven
One of the thing that I recommend is you should try to buy "baju melayu".. or try to wear it. It is our traditional clothes for men. You can try to wear "kain pelikat" too but wear "kain pelikat" at home only huhu.
13 minute watch you guys not enough, hahaha i forget to mention, real nasi lemak ....sometimes sell at street, sometimes at restaurant, but local usually buy at street. Dont forget to try Roti canai,Nobu..hahaha,its malaysian famous food.
Hello ! I can see that you are in my neighborhood. Where you went to eat is a food court. For the mamak experience, just go to Awwal Maju or Al Sarifa. I prefer Al Sarifa :) They are all within walking distance from the food court. Enjoy!
Not gonna lie, shun is very fast learner, there's so many malay word he can speak/remember, ganbarou minna ❤️
