I rode one of these, for about 250km, or so, and found that the lack of ground clearance and atrocious break-over angle meant speed- bumps were a real challenge, if you care about the underside of the bike. Apart from that, it's a wonderfully capable bike- I never found a hill it couldn't climb, even in one of the Hilliest suburbs of Australia.

The style is called "Board-track racer", mate-a reference to the wooden race-tracks, like Brooklands, in England.
