You even saying this is giving them publicity. Painting them as the big bad wolf allows trolls and such to gravitate towards it because they know it gets reactions out of people. Any decent person knows the chequered history that newspaper have and the bastard that Rupert Murdoch is. I agree with your sentiment but by simply posting it anywhere is spreading their name. The blood we all saw on her bed (which to me didn't even look like blood) was hers from self harm, and her bf was adamant that she was innocent. The police wanted to make an example of her.

In 2009 when I was 14 social media just starting to become what it's ended up as today but it wasn't yet quite as important as people view it now. Everyone I knew had a Facebook and even back then there was a lot of bullying and abuse between people at my school so I can't even imagine what it's like for kids who are growing up now to have so much pressure to have followers and likes. I have a younger cousin and now and again I see comments that these kids are making to eachother and it honestly worries me.
If I ever have kids I'm not letting them anywhere near social media until I know they're mature enough to handle what having a public profile comes with because I know from experience it can seriously mess with your sense of reality especially when you're a teenager. All of these sites need to come with warnings about comments and abuse you can receive through them and should be age restricted, I know younger kids will still get on but it might stop at least few people from going through the same type of bullshit I did in school.
Honestly the world would be better off without social media, no, the world was better off without it.

Suicide is like a bomb. Ticking, slowly towards an explosion. All cases of suicide that are published widely have similar supposed causes. Humans aren't built to be judged by millions. They're barely even built to be judged by a classroom. There's always a defuser in these situations but sometimes the clock speeds up too fast. We need to be more efficient in defusing instead of being so efficient in pressing the pedal on the timer... Great podcast boys. Good on you guys for speaking up.

This conversation is immense. You're both so brave in your honesty and frankness. But, and the crucial element is how refreshing it is when people are as honest as you both are within this conversation and how many times you hit on the truth. Bravo, seriously. Please keep doing what you're doing you two. Hitting on the truth is like a checkmate. This video is important, as when the truth turns up - the lies to the contrary melt away like piss on snow. This isn't always the case, sure. But people who genuinely want to be objective, but are struggling with that, I think that videos like this can really help then see. Such a rare experience, listening to this one. I can't think of a single element I don't agree with. I extremely rarely comment on anything, but with this one I had to. Please keep unleashing your perspectives, you two, whenever you've done what you've clearly done prior to this video. It's powerful as fuck. Much respect.

Feels like those bad experiences last year turned a corner for these podcasts now you are using more freedom to discuss darker and real issues, the show is growing into something much more important and very thought provoking. You and Laurence are getting it spot on with these types of conversations too. This is the type of unedited real talk the TV and newspapers could learn a valuable lesson from. Great work guys.
