I am 84 years old anve been following news closely since I was in my early teens, first by newspapers, news magazines and radio, then TV, then the Internet opened up new vistas and I was able to see and read news from many other countries (most major news sites in other countries report in English). Thus I am familiar with most what is called "mainstream media," especially in the US, Canada and the UK. Sadly, the "mainstream media" and so-called "journalism" has changed over the years, there is no longer any fact checking or fair, impartial reporting. every "news site" is biased to some extent, and the majority of tje media is "left-leasning," especially in the US.
