I adore powder foundations. I have very oily skin and I enjoyed the original formula of this powder. I also enjoy the reformulation. I did notice a tiny bit more moisture in the reformulation. I’m thankful that the shades didn’t change much as 120 is my perfect shade. However I wish they extended the shades to cover both paler and deeper skin tones.
I have drier skin and i love a good powder foundation. They're so quick, easy and lightweight. When you get a really good one imo they're the best for texture, pores and fine lines.
Oh WOW, your skin looks amazing and no touch ups - that has to be so liberating 👍👍👍!!! I don't use powders (except for the Westman Atelier Vital Powder) on my dry skin, but I have to watch this vid and support you 😉. I'm so glad I did, seeing your skin looking so pretty is wonderful ❤ A Very Happy Thanksgiving to you 💞💞 Love ya, 💗💜💗💜💗
Wow! I am surprised at how great it looked later on! I was ready to write it off! I think I’ll grab this and add it to my worryingly increasing foundation group😅 All eye looks were so pretty❤❤
I wouldn’t have tried a powder foundation if it hadn’t been for your channel. I have dry skin but my hormones are all over the place so I have hot flashes so I really think I’m going to pick this up
Oh wow that’s good to know! I find it hard to recommend powder foundation for dry skin bcs I know some are thinker than others and I just don’t know how it will do. Glad to hear you think this will work. Pls come back and let me know!!
@@SteffsBeautyStash Absolutely! I have the driest skin. I even have eczema on my hands it’s so bad, but I’ve been having to carry powder with me and I never used it before my hysterectomy but now I have hot flashes non stop and it’s the only thing that saves my foundation
Hey Steff, thank you for this one. Came to say I 'm completely used to your new set-up. Loving the sound as well now. Won't be around as much for a while, wishing you a great holiday season. And a cute kitten 😺
Not sure if this works for all powder foundations, but I imagine this works for most. I get rid of that 1 hr wait time to settle by setting w a face mist and then fanning off excess w a hand fan. This helps melt the foundation together while hydrating ur face (I hate feeling like my skin is super dry). My fav mists are Milani's rose one and CP's Fresh AF. I hear Pacifica has some nice ones too but haven't tried them yet.
I just have no luck with powder foundation.. my dry skin just needs hydration. But I keep buying and trying them😂 the makeup revolution one is the only one I haven't hated. Elf is good for setting for me. Great review Steff.. gosh the red look is stunning. After the loss of a pet, it is often hard to get another one, this is my advice, do it when you feel ready ... And just remember it isn't trying to replace, simply trying to make new bonds and memories. I always say, I don't rescue cats, they rescue me.
In case anyone is on the fence on this, If you like the L'Oreal Fresh wear foundation in a powder then you should like this! as it's nearly identical in ingredients! (they are under the same company) haven't seen anyone mention the L'Oreal in comparison yet, anyhoo I'm pretty sure I like this one better though! as it's more finely milled & doesn't go on quite as heavy, it is buildable though but seems less cakey too! and actually may be a tad better at controlling oils. The old Superstay powder was awful IMHO, so this is a welcome change! I always use some kinda primer first. Great review here :)
Foundations and eyeshadows are my favorite products to buy and try and watch videos about. I'd never wear a powder foundation on its own but I like some coverage from powder if I use it and I feel like most bronzers remove some coverage on my cheeks where my broken capillaries and acne scars are so I use a deeper powder foundation as a contour or bronzer from time to time.
I’ve tried powdered foundation in the past and I agree if you need to get out the door quickly this is the way to go. I loved how it set on your face it set beautifully this I’ll be looking for.
New sub 🤗, I lost my Buddy.. to the rainbow bridge too it’s hard to think about getting a new pet. I’ve noticed most people use a barely wet beauty sponge to apply this.
I grabbed this today after work in shade 128. I think it's my shade. That's my only complaint with using drug store foundation or powder. I watched another review where they used same shade and her skin tone looked similar to mine. I have normal skin so I am excited to try it out tomorrow!
Thank you for your review.. I always apply any powder foundation with a stipple brush. A stipple brush I feel helps push the powder in the pores. A dense brush provides too much coverage, can look cakey and only setting on top of the skin. Actually any powder I use the stippling brush provides an air brush finish.
I’m confused by powder foundation. I bought it to use by itself instead of liquid foundation, but I see a lot of creators who use it as a setting powder. So how is it meant to be worn?
You can use it either way. Some use it to add more coverage on top of their foundation. I use mine as it’s intended, as a foundation with concealer underneath. However it works best for you go that route. No right or wrong way.
Hallo, 🤎 I didn't see this earlier before the coffee palette review. I am pretty impressed with this. I do have dry skin so I am not sure if I will try this. Thank you 🤎

This one is holy grail for me - I tried making elf work so many times but for some reason my oil was nuts! This is amazing - trust me.
Glad you love it!!

You have the best foundation reviews.
Thank you!! I love doing them!
Really appreciate you testing a powder foundation. I only use powder foundation and they don’t get tested as often on UA-cam x

I’m glad you said this bcs I didn’t like that LOreal powder lol! I feel like I’m one of the only ones who didn’t like it. This one wore so well!

Have you tried powder foundation in a darker color as bronzer?
Yes and it works well!
Some people say it’s good for dry skin too?? I worry bc it’s matte and I have fine lines…. Any opinions?
I think with a hydrating primer underneath it should be good!
Hi, I know this is totally unrelated to the video.. . But do you use anything on your lashes ? They look so long and beautiful!

Sure do! RevitaLash go.magik.ly/ml/1o80y

Both were day 2 lol
