G, I totally know that feeling of getting the “house” ready and not wanting to look too eager when the guests come! Lol, fun to know it happens even on a boat
We loved meeting Pierre & Marie, and we’re bummed we only were able to spend one evening with them last season. Hope to all be in the same place again this season. Oh, and I’m with you Gretchen - start the outboard first before you cut loose. However, in calm conditions, not imperative when you can use your oars. Padding a dinghy is on my “avoid having to go there” list
