I kinda got a beast of a computer, I got 64 gb of ram, a 2070 super and a like high end i9 cpu. I use NVEC to record and stream everything in OBS over x256 or whatever its called. Then I set up in recording like usually just the really high end settings, (rate control CQP, level 15, P7 preset with high quality tuning, two passes quarter resolution, 2 BFrames and Look-Ahead turned on). I also make sure to record in MKV so that if OBS crashes it still generates a file you can go back and watch. Thats about it.
