Something of a climax to Monk’s Book of Days - the film is one of the most gorgeous & moving pieces of cinema that I’ve ever seen - on its own the music is like a pilgrimage to another universe - when experienced as an audio/visual experience it’s for me almost too beautiful to bear. It packs a real spiritual punch & if you love MMonk you need to own this!

I bought the dvd online several years ago - had been looking for it for years. It’s too sublime not to own; forget simply downloading a file, this is a must for one’s collection - Book of Days is such a gorgeous journey, and to hear it within the context of Monk’s film

Point is, run don’t walk to get this - I forget where I bought it (I don’t believe it was MMonk’s own site but I could be wrong) but it took but a google search, I was so happy it was finally on DVD. *Also included is the fabulous short film Ellis Island & a 60 min interview with Meredith.
