This is, and always has been, about painting what George created as ‘flawed’ so Kathleen Kennedy can ‘fix’ it.
Well Lucas himself painted the Jedi and Old Republic at it's end as dysfunctional, but that was kinda the point then.
The Republic became a fasade abd the Jedi lost their way, which led to the rise of Palpatine.
George must think so too, as he was so worried about Han shooting first, which I never understood.

George Lucas's explosions aren't even a plot hole. There's a planet sized ship full of breathable air. It will burn in a quick explosion.
I think the main problem is that in this show, it looks like a campfire on a drafty stunt stage. If the fire was even LESS realistic, like it was pink or blue cgi or something, fewer people would complain because at least it wouldn't be so obviously lazy.

13:14 The thing is, even in Disney canon Darth Maul was captured during the siege of Mandalore. They put him in a special containment box specifically designed to hold force users. It was the last of it's kind the Mandalorians had but you'd think the jedi would have something similar. Even the empire quickly improvised the carbonite freezer to safely transport Luke, who wasn't even fully trained at the time.
This is true. Im not totally against there being a way to hold jedi (tbh would make sense someone would want to try to restrain them, in the same way people in the DC universe have found ways to imprison kryptonians). You just have to make their powers consistent and thats something disney struggles with sometimes. And it can also depend on the medium. Like in 2003 clone wars i can completely accept the jedi being these near unstoppable forces of nature as its a cartoon. But if the jedi in the movies tried doing those moves it would look abit silly.
And the thing about Disney canon.. the fact that they brought in Ki Adi Mundi here, was a big "F U" to George

If it were me trying to secure a force using criminal, I’d have them handcuffed, place them in a cell with the laser barrier and nothing loose and moveable in the room, and secure the control to the barrier out of the room with a combination lock that is outside the prisoners view. And have atleast 2-4 Jedi guarding the outside of the cell while you have noise playing inside the cell to break any kind of concentration on force powers. No chances of escape left open short of outside intervention which even then would have to contend with the Jedi guards who would be no rank less than a knight but preferably masters.
Explosions in space make sense, ships have a contained atmosphere. When the ship goes up, its atmosphere explodes.

Episode 5 can only be described as "consume product watch next product". How easily people are fooled into thinking episode 5 was good based on lightsaber fighting. As if all the garbage before and after it, is redeemed.
“A Jedi doesn’t pull her weapon unless prepared to kill” the Jedi are only supposed to use their sabers to DEFEND theirselves and the unharmed, they don’t strike first, (or their not supposed to their fight styles are mainly defence) I think some things about star wars are not hard to understand at all, but yet if a team of people write a star wars show and admit to not watching/caring about the franchise, it’s easy to fuck it up
This is proof why dei is bad. It's visible to us here because they were gifted with a platform. They would never have made it here without being handed Disney and Star Wars. Now they're destroying it.

Explosions can occur with spacecraft because there is oygen within those spacecraft. They don’t crackle or blow in the wind like the acolyte indicated. There was no oxygen or air leak. It was a malfunctioning gizmo. The acolyte is just very lazy
I think this will be the wake up call they need to put someone in charge who will give us the classic Star Wars we need.
Last season of The Clone Wars. They defeated Darth Maul and shoved him in a Mandalorian Cage that controls their force abilities. Why wouldn’t they put her in something like that?
In the clone Wars series, the mandalorians have specially built shielded stretchers to contain Jedi prisoners, missed opportunity
