Colin Cowherd, I've ignored you for years, but you are truly right. The lack of discipline Tomlin supports on and off the field is ridiculous. Him and his coaching staff have been complacent with subpar playoff runs for years. It's time for an attitude and coaching change if that talent will be properly used.
Agreed, coaching and defense. Can't remember ever being embarrassed to be a Steeler fan before. I'm just glad that the kid from NO's terrible play last night has taken some focus off of our pathetic display.
FlashbackGhost as far as I'm concerned, if you score more than 31 and lose... You look at your defense. There's no need to whine about why we can't criticize everybody's favorite coaching personality. Colin is so in his head he's not acknowledging the first principle of life: if people like you, they want you to succeed and they will defend you.
Except the Killer Bees dismantled the number one defense on Sunday. It was the Defense and coaching that lost the game. Or lack of it. 42 points should be enough to beat anyone. Think much?
I agree with Colin that Tomlin isn’t one of the greatest coaches but without Ryan Shazier it was always gonna be tough to bring down a RB like Fournette.
Steelers have the most stacked offensive roster in the NFL. They're football's Yankee's right now. If he is as good as people say he is, they'd have more rings than the Pats. But yet they keep getting bounced by teams they on paper should roll over.
Roll over? Please the Steelers defense is no where close to the talent level of Jacksonville. You had one team with a great offense and one team with a great defense that ended up being a high scoring game, and the better team won, but Tomlin is still an overrated coach.
I can’t stand Colin Cowherd but he’s right. Steelers fans, we aren’t afraid of your team, no matter how many all stars they have. That’s because if they don’t play as a team they can struggle against even the worst teams in football.
He won a SB as head coach but I honestly believe he’d be better as another type of coach. McDaniels is leaving NE this offseason to be a head coach but he was already a head coach and stepped back down to OC for the Pats. Tomlin should do the same
Zach W steelers won during regular season, Well Done! Only Super Bow tomlin won came with inherited talent, how do u get Big Ben and only get him to 1 super bowl (not counting 2008, wasn’t his roster)
Winning because of Big Ben and a very good place kicker. 11 of those 13 wins were a nail biting struggle and 54 yard field goals don’t make for definitive wins
We needed to tho, we were down three scores in the playoffs. The only one that You could argue against was that first one, when they were in field goal range. But even going for it there was a fine call. There choice of plays on the other hand...
The Steelers are overrated their fans are always saying “We will beat the Patriots!” And they’ve beat the Patriots what 1 or 2 Times with Ben? I don’t get it? Wanna see their playoffs the last 10 years 2007 Lost to Jaguars with David Garrar 2008 To their credit they won the Super Bowl but Tom Brady was injured, And if the Colts has won their division, Manning would’ve beat them. 2009 Missed playoffs 2010 Beat Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez and defense got smoked by Aaron Rodgers 2011 Lost to Tim Tebow 2012 No Playoffs 2013 No Playoffs 2014 Lost to Joe Flacco 2015 Beat Bengals because the Bengals choke and lost to the Broncos 2016 Beat Matt Moore Alex Smith and got destroyed by Tom Brady 2017 Lost to BLAKE BORTLES
The decision to kick an onside kick with 2:18 with a 2 min warning and 2 timeouts remaining was a fireable offense. When I was watching that, I was like what are you doing??? Kick it deep, make a stop and you will stop have about 1:30 remaining to tie the game.
I like Tomlin a lot but no he's not all time great n no one is Bill B in NE. However he has been consistent even despite inheriting Big Ben. Maybe the Steelers could do better if they let him go, but I bet the are more likely to do worse. It happens all the time. I love Andy Reid too, but not everyone is Bill B. In NE. He is an above average Coach.
Tomlin is a good coach I have a lot of respect for him because of his role with the Vikings, but overall I’d rate him a 6/10. He lacks disciplining his men which is what makes championship teams.
In watching the game, the Steelers got manhandled. They were physically dominated like I have never seen. 28 of Pittsburgh's points came on big plays and two of those big plays came on 4th down. I give New England the edge but I think that Jacksonville has a chance. The key is keeping Brady off the field and they have the running game that can do it. Also, they have very good corner play and really fast linebackers and New England does not have a good running game. It will be interesting.
Why did they go for the onside kick? What the f was Tomlin thinking? This doesn't hurt as bad as watching the rook assrape his teammates in the saints/vikes game
Gosh, you seem sour. I didn't say that the points didn't count, I said that the Steelers got manhandled and if it weren't for the big plays they would have been blown out. Kudos to Big Ben, he played great. But the Steelers were beaten down by a better more physical team.
Steelers fan here.....Colin is right. Honestly think their defense was doomed when Shazier went down. Even if they did beat the Jags, no 7th ship was comin to Pittsburgh this year.
Colin you're takes right on except on side kick.... If no 3 and outs for jags all day why give them high percentage chance at one first down for a FG? Better put them back and have Jags make 3 or 4 first down for scoring position.
I think Colin is pretty much dead on with all his comments this time. The Steelers obviously have infinite talent, but they find ways to lose the most important games. That's on the coach.
Marcus James They can win the Superbowl by 50 points and the headlines will say "VIKINGS/EAGLES LOSE CHAMPIONSHIP" instead of "JAGUARS DOMINATE SUPERBOWL"
The Steelers I think are done, unfortunately. Ben may retire, Bell is probably going to SF, Bryant is as good as gone, that defense is a mess, they have no money whatsoever, and don't even have a good draft pick
We are acting like the game was a complete blowout. He first quarter was a blowout. The Steelers at least matched (if not won) the Jags the rest of the game. What Tomlin needs to fix are the situational calls.
Kevin Scott the fact that u give up 45 points to bottles and a decent rush offense? Credit to Big Ben for once again attempting to carry bad defence and bad play calls
Dark_Pinoy you’re correct, that final TD was pretty irrelevant. But the score was 21-0 in the first quarter and they were down by 1 possession for most of the second half.
Pete Carroll was good 4 years ago because he knew who to draft since he just came from college. The further away he gets away from college, the worse he drafts. He's not good in free agency. He called a pass play on the 1 yard line of the super bowl. His culture is too loose so the players act like its a frat house and not a job.
jason blakemore The one yard line call was solved this week in the firing of that inept OC. As far as the locker room I think that’ll be remedied as they get rid of outspoken vets that no longer perform, like Mike Bennett. And I think the drafts have been underwhelming. They haven’t flat out missed on anyone, but they definitely haven’t had another 2011 draft
We'll see. But as of right now, they're a team that missed the playoffs. Their players are talking contracts during the season, which means their coach isn't strict enough. The defense still hates Russel Wilson for throwing that pass waaaay too far ahead of Lockett. They should've blown up the team after that pass. You cant recover from it. Like the Saints NEED to get rid of Marcus Williams, some things are just too big to shake and losing in the Super Bowl the way the Seahawks did is just too much.
jason blakemore that’s a little too ambitious, it’s possible to bounce back after something like that. Scott Norwood went wide left and the bills kept that core for 3 more SB runs. Albeit fruitless ones but conference championships are hard to come by. I think they need to retool a little bit but that core still has some life. If they had a good kicker, they’re 12-4 and NFC West champs, even after losing 2 all time greats on the defensive side. They did miss the playoffs but barely. I think that a tweaking is the answer, and a full blown rebuild would be a mistake as of now
Nicholas McNemar well maybe if he Giants had Tomlin as a coach people would ignore OBJ ego like they do with AB because let the media and the fans tell it OBJ is the only Diva WR in the whole entire NFL
Most Steelers fans I know (myself included) have been calling for him to be fired for years. The mistakes he made weren't surprising to us. We've watched them week in and week out for years now. The OC and DC need to go too. It's heartbreaking being a fan of a team that has the talent to dominate anyone in the league, and yet they squeak by and fail to deliver in the big moments.
As a huge STEELERS fan. I was very disappointed. And yes, this man just spit facts about Tomlin. It's gonna be a long off season. But next year....ahha! GO STEELERS🔥
Big Ben probably has the best arm in the game of football. I don’t think any other team could make some of the plays they made. The quality receivers they have also a factor.
steelers were so worried about playing against the Patriots, they probably feel like it was gunna be a cake walk against the jaguars smh be careful what you wish for
As much as this falls on Pittsburgh, lets not take credit away from the Jaguars here. Blake Bortles played great, mistake free football, their rushing attack was unstoppable, their gameplan against the pass rush was great etc. The Jaguars played a fantastic game yesterday on both sides. They physically dominated the line of scrimmage AGAIN, and ultimately made Pittsburgh stay just competitive with their talent. Jags pretty much won the game before it even started too.
My question in all of this is why does the blame ALWAYS fall back to the head coach? Last time I checked it is the coordinators who are calling plays on Sunday not the head coach. If you want to start throwing blame I say start at Keith Butler who's defense gave up 38 points to Blake Bortles the other 7 the defense scored. Had very little faith in the Steelers in this game simply because of the last couple weeks of the season. The defense gave up 20 or more points in 5 of 6 of their final games and played the Packers (no Rodgers), Bengals, Ravens, Patriots, Texans, and Browns. Of those teams the only team who should have scored that many points is the Patriots.
There was multiple times throughout when the defense forced a 3 and out when they were down a touchdown. The offense proceeded to do nothing at all after those, including two turnovers on 4 and 1. Can’t blame it all on the defense.
The outrage about Bradshaw's comments was because he said that Tomlin was a "cheerleader guy". If he simply left it at "he's not a great coach" then it would've been fair criticism. No one that defended Tomlin (including Tomlin HIMSELF) said that he was a great coach.
Can't really fire a coach that goes 13-3, and has one of the best winning percentages of all time for an NFL hc with one team for this long. 28 or even 30 other teams would love to have him as their hc.
Pittsburgh won plenty of games this season in the fourth quarter, some on the final drive. That's a tough team that's hard to beat. Pittsburgh never quits. But Pittsburgh is not an efficient team. Jacksonville is efficient, and tough and well coached. People should not be surprised at Jacksonville's victory. In the NFL efficient teams beat inefficient teams.
Colin again with either senseless praise of Belichick, give credit to Charlie Weis and the other great coordinators that developed Tom or the defensive studs he inherited from the Bill Parcels' teams.
How much blame does Mike Tomlin deserve for Sunday's loss?
The Herd with Colin Cowherd Colin got him!!! Love you sir
Mike tomlin has not done anything to improve the steelers since he got there
The Herd with Colin Cowherd all of it
No Tomlin is a great coach. Dont ever fire him! ~ signed Patriots Nation!
I’m a Steelers fan and this is the first time I agree with Colin. Coaching was so bad.
Christian Peretin you scored 42 points though. You're supposed to win EVERY game you score 42 in. Don't drink the Kool aid.
E. J. Banks they would've scored 54 if they converted those 4th downs
Christian Peretin I hope they learn from this season and have a last , final ride with Big Ben next year with a mission in mind and one mission only.
Every year since the "killer bees" the steelers get the most preseason hype and always fail when it matters
Yep. The dynasty that never was.
Except the Killer Bees dismantled the number one defense on Sunday. It was the Defense and coaching that lost the game. Or lack of it. 42 points should be enough to beat anyone. Think much?
Jonah Mosher not enough to beat Blake bortles lead jaguars I guess.
Noah Rogers as do most teams who aren't the Superbowl champs.
One time I agree with Cowterd. Steelers never play up to competition & can't strategize. This coming from a Steeler fan of 4 decades.
Tomlin has no control over his team and his players don't respect him. You can tell by how immature they act under him.
bingo
As a lifelong Steelers fan, he's 100% right.
As a life long Pat's fan I LOVE Tomlin! I really hope he coaches that team until I move on from this planet :)
Bandwagon whats up?
Di Va What about “lifelong” says bandwagon? Maybe I misunderstood your reply.
+tohdubg yeah dont pretend to be a life long fan
U probs just 18 Years Old ahah...2000-2018 Pats fan huh? Aint no bandwagon fo sure haha
Tohdubg, I feel exactly the same way.
As a lifelong Steeler fan I couldn't agree more with Colin on Mike Tomlin
I agree with Colin that Tomlin isn’t one of the greatest coaches but without Ryan Shazier it was always gonna be tough to bring down a RB like Fournette.
PatriotHater 123 yeah but you still losses week 5 with shazier
You know mike tomlin is sick this morning
Jose Garcia keep tomlin
Steelers have the most stacked offensive roster in the NFL. They're football's Yankee's right now. If he is as good as people say he is, they'd have more rings than the Pats. But yet they keep getting bounced by teams they on paper should roll over.

Its the black coach getting the longer leash.
Z L for once
ayeo philly Marvin Lewis? Anthony Lynn. They’re only hired because of their skin
I LOVE MIKE TOMLIN BECAUSE HE HELPS BREAK THE HEARTS OF THE STEELERS FAN BASE, WHO I HATE.
Ben Der here here
facts
I can’t stand Colin Cowherd but he’s right. Steelers fans, we aren’t afraid of your team, no matter how many all stars they have. That’s because if they don’t play as a team they can struggle against even the worst teams in football.
Tomlin is great at finding draft talent but his situational football is trash
Sam Bradford Bandwagon John Wall not really....look at what he has drafted on defense.
Exactly - just because he can draft a couple good wideouts and a rb means he’s good at drafting? The only good defensive player he drafted was shazier
Daniel Matchett so Artie burns, Tj watt and Sean Davis weren't good pick ups?
Front office deserves the credit for the drated talent--not Tomlin.
He won a SB as head coach but I honestly believe he’d be better as another type of coach. McDaniels is leaving NE this offseason to be a head coach but he was already a head coach and stepped back down to OC for the Pats. Tomlin should do the same
Bad coaching but did tomlin inherit brown, bell, juju, pouncey, heyward etc? Almost everyone from cowher era is gone and steelers still winning.
Zach W steelers won during regular season, Well Done! Only Super Bow tomlin won came with inherited talent, how do u get Big Ben and only get him to 1 super bowl (not counting 2008, wasn’t his roster)
Tomlin inherited one of the great defenses of all time and he failed to preserve it.
You can be good at finding talent, and still be a bad situational coach, as Tomlin is.
its called the PATRIOTS
Winning because of Big Ben and a very good place kicker. 11 of those 13 wins were a nail biting struggle and 54 yard field goals don’t make for definitive wins
Next playoff game 3 years later... Same thing... But the media forgets because mike tomlin has never had a losing record!
Have u looked in mike tomlin’s eyes. Who’s gonna tell him to his face he’s fired. 😳
Football 101: You lose the turnover battle you lose the game. Rothlisberger 1 Int and 1 fumble lost. Jacksonville 0 turnovers.
Not always. 5 TDS and close to 500 yards and you wanna hang it on Ben? He lit that defense up. Pittsburgh’s D just sucks
Jonah Mosher u cannot turn the ball over in the playoffs
kingParkerTSK and? Ben kept us in the game and gave us a chance to win. People who blame ben for this know absolutely nothing about football.
Mike tomlinson coached like most madden players, go for it on 4th down every time
robert shelton it worked twice for touchdowns tho..
We needed to tho, we were down three scores in the playoffs. The only one that You could argue against was that first one, when they were in field goal range. But even going for it there was a fine call. There choice of plays on the other hand...
And onside kick anytime u don't wanna play defense
robert shelton COY Doug Peterson goes for it more than anyone. It is an effective strategy. He should have just snuck it with Big Ben.
TOMLIN LOST THEM THE GAME HAHAHA
The Steelers are overrated their fans are always saying “We will beat the Patriots!” And they’ve beat the Patriots what 1 or 2 Times with Ben? I don’t get it? Wanna see their playoffs the last 10 years
2007 Lost to Jaguars with David Garrar
2008 To their credit they won the Super Bowl but Tom Brady was injured, And if the Colts has won their division, Manning would’ve beat them.
2009 Missed playoffs
2010 Beat Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez and defense got smoked by Aaron Rodgers
2011 Lost to Tim Tebow
2012 No Playoffs
2013 No Playoffs
2014 Lost to Joe Flacco
2015 Beat Bengals because the Bengals choke and lost to the Broncos
2016 Beat Matt Moore Alex Smith and got destroyed by Tom Brady
2017 Lost to BLAKE BORTLES
Ultra Ishaan 9 I’m a Steelers fan and we have under achieved ever since 2011 and our secondary is killing us
1 out of 10 is bad
Ultra Ishaan 9 are you not seeing the big picture? Did you not just watch the video? Its the coaching staff
In 2008, they also avoided the patriots to get to the Super Bowl and faced a 9-7 Cardinals team carried by Kurt Warner and Larry Fitz
zarbon I know Tomlin is overrated he is not a great coach but happened to adopt a fantastic defense and Big Ben
Imma big time Steeler fan. Mike Tomlin need to go.
Colin speaking some much needed truth.
"Patriots arent gonna win the superbowl, theyre not good enough" but hey, didnt the patriots spank cheeks and didnt they get EIGHT sacks
Daniel Dawson ask Colin hes the one who said it
The decision to kick an onside kick with 2:18 with a 2 min warning and 2 timeouts remaining was a fireable offense. When I was watching that, I was like what are you doing??? Kick it deep, make a stop and you will stop have about 1:30 remaining to tie the game.

DILLY DILLY!
Tom to the pit of misery! Dilly Dilly!
Chris Mc22 cheater cheater!
black flame cry, but bow down first
shouldn't the vikings be saying that?
Great points. Pretty much my thoughts exactly.
deserves no blame , jaguars are a dominant team the qb play is the only negative
Tomlin is a good coach I have a lot of respect for him because of his role with the Vikings, but overall I’d rate him a 6/10. He lacks disciplining his men which is what makes championship teams.
Love this guy on the show.
agree with every word colin said
Bravo for speaking truth!
In watching the game, the Steelers got manhandled. They were physically dominated like I have never seen. 28 of Pittsburgh's points came on big plays and two of those big plays came on 4th down. Okay. So those points don’t count? Got it
Why did they go for the onside kick? What the f was Tomlin thinking? This doesn't hurt as bad as watching the rook assrape his teammates in the saints/vikes game

You’re absolutely right.
Coughlin is LEGEND.
Die Hard Steelers fan here. Love Tomlin, but I totally agree with you Colin.
Fair and honest - pittsburgh resident
YES! FINALLY! Someone talking about Tomlin's incompetence! He's also dirty, too!
spot on
Fans should be thankful - Jags defense makes for a great Jag - NE matchup
With all the backlash I always felt Bradshaw's comment were correct about Tomlin, he not a great coach!
It's time for Tomlin to go.
DabFaceKillah and replace him with who?
Steelers fan here.....Colin is right. Honestly think their defense was doomed when Shazier went down. Even if they did beat the Jags, no 7th ship was comin to Pittsburgh this year.
As a Steelers fan I totally agree with you.. but the defensive and offensive coordinator need to go ..
We’re cursed with tomlin

I think Colin is pretty much dead on with all his comments this time.
The Steelers obviously have infinite talent, but they find ways to lose the most important games.
That's on the coach.
Everyone is saying its Tomlin's fault, pit wasn't ready, pit choked. can someone plz give the jags SOME damn credit!
Marcus James They can win the Superbowl by 50 points and the headlines will say "VIKINGS/EAGLES LOSE CHAMPIONSHIP" instead of "JAGUARS DOMINATE SUPERBOWL"
Marcus James Pitt not being ready is tomlin’s fault though considering it is his job to get them ready
The Steelers have so many star players that it’s pathetic they lost
right
fax
You’re very right
The Steelers I think are done, unfortunately. Ben may retire, Bell is probably going to SF, Bryant is as good as gone, that defense is a mess, they have no money whatsoever, and don't even have a good draft pick
That onside kick tho
Agree 100%
Tomlin RIP
We are acting like the game was a complete blowout. He first quarter was a blowout. The Steelers at least matched (if not won) the Jags the rest of the game. What Tomlin needs to fix are the situational calls.
Kevin Scott huh? That final touchdown basically didn't matter so it should've been 45 35 Jags
Kevin Scott the fact that u give up 45 points to bottles and a decent rush offense? Credit to Big Ben for once again attempting to carry bad defence and bad play calls
Two touchdowns were 50/50 crazy plays that could easily have been incomplete; Pittsburgh could’ve been blown out easily
Dark_Pinoy you’re correct, that final TD was pretty irrelevant. But the score was 21-0 in the first quarter and they were down by 1 possession for most of the second half.
Daniel Matchett I 100% agree with everything you said. The defense and playcalling was abysmal and Ben had a HOF performance.
Tomlin: "I'm comfortable with the plays that were called"
Me: ??????????
Kyle Rodenberg nick young meme 😂
Finally! It's ridiculous that no one is able to say this.
#Firetomlin
when an offense needs to get a first down and run out the clock they tend to not be able to
This guy makes a point of ripping Pete Carroll in every single football related video for absolutely no reason
hahahahahaha
Pete Carroll was good 4 years ago because he knew who to draft since he just came from college. The further away he gets away from college, the worse he drafts. He's not good in free agency. Three coaches that should be fired... Tomlin, Andy Reid, and Marvin Lewis. Honorable mention Pete Carrol
John Harbaugh should be on the list
On the money as usaul.. Collin!!
I bet if the Steelers and Bengals traded coaches the results wouldn't change much.
why is the whole video black every time I try to watch a video on this channel but doesn't happen on any other channel?
Since Pittsburgh fans are ready to throw in under the bus we would gladly take him in NY
STr8KasHomie Gladly would give him to you.
Shittsburgh Steelers fans are trash
Yeah, let Mike Tomlin get run over by objs ego like he does every year by ab and Leveon bell
Nicholas McNemar well maybe if he Giants had Tomlin as a coach people would ignore OBJ ego like they do with AB because let the media and the fans tell it OBJ is the only Diva WR in the whole entire NFL
I'll bring him to you, If I could
Most Steelers fans I know (myself included) have been calling for him to be fired for years. The mistakes he made weren't surprising to us. We've watched them week in and week out for years now. The OC and DC need to go too. It's heartbreaking being a fan of a team that has the talent to dominate anyone in the league, and yet they squeak by and fail to deliver in the big moments.
86 Jacksonville yards produced 24 Jacksonville points, that's embarrassing in itself
if the steelers should be the #1 seed they would still be in the playoffs
As a huge STEELERS fan. I was very disappointed. And yes, this man just spit facts about Tomlin. It's gonna be a long off season. But next year....ahha!
GO STEELERS🔥
Who is tom coughland?
Great analysis! At the very least Todd Haley and Kevin Butler should be fired.
His coaching was totally questionable yesterday, but I will say his explanation for the onside kick was reasonable
That Coughlin point was right on it! But can’t say anything about Tomlin!
2:51 "This team physically humiliated us"
Big Ben probably has the best arm in the game of football. I don’t think any other team could make some of the plays they made. The quality receivers they have also a factor.
The falcons loosing was on Sark not Ryan
this is the standard MIKE TOMLIN your FIRED
Facts
steelers were so worried about playing against the Patriots, they probably feel like it was gunna be a cake walk against the jaguars smh be careful what you wish for
I like Colin on this one

Mike Mularkey and the Titans parted ways. He wasn't fired. And I'm sorry, hard for me to take Bradshaw seriously--CTE is hitting him hard.
My question in all of this is why does the blame ALWAYS fall back to the head coach? Last time I checked it is the coordinators who are calling plays on Sunday not the head coach. Oh I'm sorry did Mike Tomlin tell Big Ben to give up 14pts early
TRUTH
Yeah big ben should've called his own number. . come on man!!!!!!🏈
In before Colin picks Patriots to win Super Bowl again
Terrible comparison, you know they are going to run it at the end. You DON'T onside kick ever in that situation.
I love Tomlin but he is one of the most underachieving coaches of all time
yep
The outrage about Bradshaw's comments was because he said that Tomlin was a "cheerleader guy". If he simply left it at "he's not a great coach" then it would've been fair criticism. No one that defended Tomlin (including Tomlin HIMSELF) said that he was a great coach.
Leonard Fournette just scored again and Big Ben just threw another interception. Haha.
We all know why you can't criticise Tomlin....
charles1964 cuz he's black
So what Colin is saying is that coach Mike Tomlin should be fired ? 😐😐
Interesting
Can't really fire a coach that goes 13-3, and has one of the best winning percentages of all time for an NFL hc with one team for this long. 28 or even 30 other teams would love to have him as their hc.
Pittsburgh won plenty of games this season in the fourth quarter, some on the final drive. That's a tough team that's hard to beat. Pittsburgh never quits. But Pittsburgh is not an efficient team. Jacksonville is efficient, and tough and well coached. People should not be surprised at Jacksonville's victory. In the NFL efficient teams beat inefficient teams.
Tomlin clearly was subpar but the defense is more to blame
Colin again with either senseless praise of Belichick, give credit to Charlie Weis and the other great coordinators that developed Tom or the defensive studs he inherited from the Bill Parcels' teams.
9/17/19 called Tomlin a hall of fame coach
